I’m sorry, but if that were the case than we would slowly die in seemingly all directions. People like him would probably feel too guilty in slaughtering farm animals and quite, leading to protein starvation for the civilians. We would probably feed off of vegetables and other plant-like foods. And before you say we can still get protein from nuts and pills, us humans need a significant amount of protein, so pills can’t always suffice. Although we can indeed find a way to survive, it’s less likely to benefit us as much as it did before, if not at all. I again, apologies.
The look in his eyes when an animal gets hurt, is so concerned, but so kind at the same time, there is always a spark of hope. This man has a seat reserved in the highest heavens for sure.
I love this guy, you gave me the courage to bring my own “health” in danger to save a swan. When i was going home from school one day (around winter) i noticed a young (half grey) swan sitting next to a small river. Groups had past her and no one thought anything of it. But i knew something was up. I stopped my bike and slowly came closer. Knowing how swans can attack. His behavior was weird and he didnt seem to try and get away. Then i noticed he had trouble breathing but he went back into the water. He didnt go far aa he was exhausted. I waited for a while but my phone had died. So i ran to a stranger and asked him to call the animal ambulance. After 5 tries he maneged to reach one that was willing to help if we catched the swan. So after waiting for a hour or two the swan came out of the water. A few people had joined and talked about how to catch him. But i knew we didnt have much time before he would go back in so i went over. Slowly sat next to him and trew my winter coat over him to keep him there. I was wet and freezeing but the swan accepted it and just laid down. His beak was right up in my face but he knew i was helping him. The ambulance finally came over after i st there ffor a hour with him (a local brought me a jacket cause it was very cold and mine was wet and over the swan) and they too him. Turns out he had food stuck in his troat and wouldnt have survived as he could barely breath and not eat anymore. I came home hours later, getting dark. Soaked cold and got a cold from it. But ill never regret saving him. It was amazing being so close to a animal often labeled as dangerous that knew you where going to help him. Even made it to the facebook page of the rescue haha. That was a awesome day and im glad i stopped to check when others didnt

@@zenitsu4942 Aww, good for you! I saved a jay when I was little, and corvids are my favourite birds since then. Once my dad found a bird with a broken wing, but it didn't make it. She was so close to gone, well done!! I bet petting and comforting her to keep her awake and fighting really helped. At that point if you don't have a serious will to live it's not going to happen.

Imagine: You’ve been hit. All those days playing in the sunshine with your siblings, all those days floating around with your friends, all those times you’ve avoided the road, all wasted. You wait for death to come take you as you languish in the burning sun, your wounds stinging in pain. You’re lapsing in and out of consciousness, feeling the regret of leaving your flock behind without any notice. Suddenly you feel a pair of huge, warm wings envelop you. They remind you of your mother, sheltering you from the wind and the heat. “This must be death,” you think to yourself. “How gentle it is.” You feel yourself get lifted up, and put down. “The ride to the afterlife sure is bumpy.” Then, the same huge wings take you to a patch of dewy grass, just like the place where you’d hatched. You lie there in bliss, feeling the night chill soon after. The pain is still there, but somewhat weaker. The warmth wraps around you once more, taking you to a warmer place. You feel something cold in front of you, and your head is lifted up. It’s water. Now you realize that you haven’t died. The huge wings had saved you from the road, and now they want you to drink and survive. You try your hardest, but you can’t muster up the strength to swallow. You fall asleep, completely exhausted. A few more days pass, and you still can’t drink any water. The wings help you, dropping some water on your head for you to sip. The next day you feel up to it. You’ll do it this time. Even though it hurts a little to swallow, you finally take your first sip of water in days. The cold, pure drink flows through you, somehow filling you with the drive to live. Next, the pair of wings set down some food for you. You try your best to force the food down, but your throat hurts too much. You have no choice but to spit it out. The food is taken away, and it’s replaced with a slurry of green stuff. It smells like food, but feels like half-frozen water. You try to eat it. It hurts less, and you finish the whole bowl before you know it. The next days see you getting better and better. Soon you’re able to stand on your own two feet, without support from anything. The wings introduce you to some other birds. They’re friendly to you, and they care about your predicament. They tell you that the wings hatched them and brought them up with their warmth. You spend your days and nights with them, talking and laughing. One night you say, “I feel as good as new now. I should leave, so as not to burden the wings any longer. ” The other birds are glad that you’ve recovered so well. Some of them want you to stay one last night to bid farewell to the wings that saved you, but some advise you to leave immediately, and return every now and then to visit. After some discussion, one young hen suggests that you spend your days in the pond that she’s seen a short distance away. Everyone agrees, and you set off to the pond. Morning comes, and sure enough, the wings come to find you. You swim up to them and thank them, explaining that you no longer want to be a burden on them. They seem to understand, and leave you to float your days away in the pond. Even if you’ve been separated from your flock, you feel lucky to have been given a second chance at life by those kind, warm wings. Edit: lmao guys please don’t leave sentimental comments, I’m not very good at responding to stuff Edit edit: btw this took like three loops of the video to write

One of my chickens, Cardinal, caught coccidia, and she started convulsing like that coot, but it was too late to help her, and she passed away. I wish that we could have helped her. Thank you for saving that bird.
It's actually pretty sad to think about how many birds and other animals that survive getting hit by vehicle's and can end up suffering for days, to often pass away. I am glad there are kind hearted people like him that exist some where out there in the world to stop and take a moment to help. Even if a lot don't end up making it, at least some lucky few, like this gorgeous Coot, get to live to see another day.
the other evening a strange large dog came into the neighborhood, desperate, searching for food? water? I felt weak from chemo and so I only put out water for him when he walked away for a bit.. He was so big. He scared me. He was a big German Shepherd/lab/Pit mix and I was afraid. Another neighbor spotted him and came out to say hi to him. She befriended him and reached for his collar which had tags. She held him there while she used her cell phone to call the number on the tags. In a few moments a grateful lady and her son drove down our street and saw the dog. She thanked the neighbor for calling her. The big dog looked so happy to see his family. I have so much respect for my neighbor for doing that. I like to help but as I said I felt so weak. Another happy story.
Know his pain. Every single time an animal dies under my care, i cry. Imagine his pain, he should not be able to take it. This man is the bravest guy in the world for what he does.
Her eyes are like rubies of the best quality, the rare kind that seem to appear on a bejewelled crown that only the elite can afford to have yet they still retain the rugged beauty they had when they were first found in the earth in their natural form. The bird herself is like the night personified in it's gentle, soothing form, like the velvety shadow- like sky falling like a blanket upon the earth. Her legs are the most intriguing part of her, something you wouldn't find on any other bird. They are smooth and scaly, coloured like the evening sky in summer. I can't blame you for being interested about this bird. I am glad you saved her and I aspire to be like you. I have watched from the day you saved albert and you are still the wonderful angel that I know. Just be you. From a person.

So many friends keep asking on why do I keep taking these birds in just to mentally disrupt myself. This is why. Thank you for everything you do and for all these videos!
I could tell by his comments that he's had many that didn't make it as well. Sadly, I think that people who do this must risk all of the pain of watching animals die - but the rewards is that a few might make it. It's unfair that the same sort of person that might really want to save any animal, might need to be the sort of person that has a certain amount of coldness when dealing with death. Those two personality traits are usually not found in the same person. I applaud your strength and willingness to suffer for others. Please don't be too hard on yourself if you feel like you can't always do it. Take care- ❤

@@tatererer9747 I don't think they care about dying at all. They don't even know what it is. For us humans we all know that death is permanent so it's sad too see from our perspective

You need a negative impact in order for a positive outcome!...

Imagine:
You’ve been hit.
“The ride to the afterlife sure is bumpy.”
Then, the same huge wings take you to a patch of dewy grass, just like the place where you’d hatched.

I am glad there are kind hearted people like him that exist some where out there in the world to stop and take a moment to help. Even if a lot don't end up making it, at least some lucky few, like this gorgeous Coot, get to live to see another day.
I am nothing compared to him but I save every birds that I see are in need. And even dogs
the other evening a strange large dog came into the neighborhood, desperate, searching for food?
