Chelsea speaks with such passion ❤ I started getting teary-eyed pretty much every time she talked about what our rights are looking like in this country.
Thank you, Chelsea. I'm a woman who drew up not liking babies, not wanting to play with dolls, not wanting to babysit anyone's kids of any age. No one in my family ever thougth I'd grow up to be a mother. And yet when I entered the working world, my bosses always directed my career with the assumption that I would quit one day to have kids. It took me a long time to realise they were doing this. It was pretty much silent, but I watched men get promoted over me when my sales numbers were higher and more consistent. "Oh, but he has a family!" "You don't want to saddle yourself with this job. Think of your future!" It's insane. I'm angry that it took me so long to figure out how they were limiting me. They weren't allowed to ask me about my life choices. But they assumed my life choices. And that is the suckiest thing about being a woman who doesn't want children. You just plain are not heard!
I loved and adored her segment on not having children. It was spot on. Her moment of Zen was brilliant. Yes. find humor in this lunacy. I looooove her.
Both of you were sooooo fun and smart, with the right amount of ruthlessness on Daily, and I want one of you, or both !!! As true hosts. With your permission of course. Thank you so much for being you.
I love Chelsea in the "moment of Zen" from long ago. She's been on a journey of self-discovery, but that core of confidence and power has always been there. (I paraphrase) "Well that's your job -- it doesn't matter if I'm interesting " and "Maybe that's why your show is ending." Chelsea, I'm so glad that you are who you are and that you do what you do.
As a mother!! I absolutely loved her segment on not having children..not only was it hilarious but i could fantasize about that life..then go back to being mom 😄
Nothing but love for those who are child free by choice! I feel like the people who are angry about that segment are the people who secretly resent being tied down by parent life and have secret shame about that, or misogynists who want women to be easy to control.
Hello kind YT commentors! Remember that the report button is a useful tool when people say hateful and disrespectful things to you or others. No need to respond to them directly. Just report and then continue on with your beautiful day ❤
@@bovinityleak2066 or ourselves haha for example, there are times when I'm in bed and I have to mother myself, "Jessica, you have to brush your teeth before bed. Go on, get up and take care of your body." This isn't just me, right?
I have to say, I never comment and I have seen every Chelsea Handler interview you have ever known. This is one of the best interviews I have ever heard someone give her. What thorough research and questioning and subtle emotional attunement it took to wrangle someone like Chelsea Handler in an interview like this. Bravo.
I completely agree with you. I have always been a Chelsea handler fan. And I like Roy but he really took it to another level hosting the daily show. Mad respect for both of them.
You're right, Roy. This is that extra stuff that makes me really enjoy my Nachos. Loved this segment. 25:28 was the mic drop moment, for me. That question comes from such a straight and logical place, it really hits on the mentality of politics invading the conversation and trying to argue against common sense.
i can't figure out how to edit comment to insert the word "be" between the words "could" and "something" so i'll just commend chelsea on not dismantling tucker carlson further. he isn't worth the effort.
Love Chelsea and hope she is the new full time host of The Daily Show Along with the amazing Daily support staff! She operates in the spirit of Jon Stewart to bring up subjects that others are afraid or too dull to approach.
The more I hear from her the more impressed I become.. she is funny as f**k , intelligent ,informed, concerned about humanity and compassionate .. all of which used to be traits one would look for in a civil servant or a government employee at the higher levels .. why do we not have a Senator Chelsea Handler instead of Bobert or Green or Santos or… the list goes on ! Surely she could do a much better job than any of them !! I very much enjoyed this and the questions were excellent Roy ! I honestly think if you were to add Chelsea to the roster of the show and give all the corespondents more time and deeper dives into things the Daily show would be just fine as a team effort !!
I've loved SO many of the guest hosts, but Chelsea really does just have...IT. She kills it every time and really deserves the job. She's even said she wants to be the host!
Her perspective has been the most helpful to me as I've been becoming a single mother by choice in the wake of Roe v Wade. Even when RvW happened, who was asking who the father of baby Roe was or what his opinion was? We've regressed. I live in the Handmaid's Tale. It's terrifying. While I exercise my civil right to become a parent, despite my undoubtle independent successes and stability, people want to stop me and they would NEVER do that to a married woman! I need what Chelsea Handler has to say.
Stay strong, my friend! As a fellow single mom by choice, I have experienced how family members and friends can and will turn on you and treat you worse than you ever thought possible. But your true support network will emerge as well. People will show up to help you out in critical ways and help you continue to feel like an actual human person. It has been the journey of a lifetime learning to lean into the love and support and not focus on the hateful part. But what I’ve learned is the haters’ opinions don’t matter at all. They can say whatever they say, but they have no actual control over my life or my child’s life. At the end of the day, it’s just noise. My heart goes out to you. You’re not alone ❤❤❤
Before Roy started hosting, it was Chelsea, Sarah Silverman and Wanda Sykes for me. But since Roy has been hosting, it’s Chelsea and Roy now. They are amazing at both hosting and interviewing, and have a point of view.
Roy, you’re awesome for having awesome women like Chelsea and Dolce on your show instead of just other male comics. I think you’re one of the funniest guys in the business❤
rly interesting about round tables. the great movements in art werent isolated ppl. when geniuses get together, the harmonies make it more than the sum of the parts. i’ll have to remember that. do it at a round table.
I couldn't agree more with her point about a roundtable of comedians and multiplying the laughter. It’s similar to what Graham Norton’s show is like. It can be a hilarious show, especially with the right combination of people.
That was one of the best interviews OF Chelsea I’ve ever seen! Roy Wood Jr really knows how to navigate her personality and allow her to say whatever she wants while still staying in control of the interview! And thank you, THANK YOU, for re-airing that Movement of Zen! That was Amazing!
I love you Chelsea, keep freeing woman ❤️ as a Mexican American woman I am pressured to have kids since I could remember, I’ve never wanted kids and you have helped me cope with the pressures of society and even my own family. Honestly, you are like a mother to many of us 😢
Chelsea ❤❤❤. I’m also a loud, proud and Childless woman who is very happy!! Thanks for giving us a voice!! Men and children have never been my life purpose. I’m married to a great man but was never seeking men to feel fulfilled. He just happened to be an amazing human and we connected but I was self fulfilled prior to marriage.
Hi, Chelsea Handler, thank you for sharing your video. While the headphones might not be my cup of tea, I appreciate the effort you put into creating it. Everyone has different tastes, and I respect your perspective. Wishing you the best with your channel!
Yes, yes, yes, and YES! I really appreciated the segment on being childless by choice, especially since women get a lot of flack if they don't conform to the 1950s housewife stereotype. There is a huge double-standard where men can do one thing and women get (sometimes vehement or violent) pushback if they do the same thing, and I appreciate people calling it out.
As a guy who doesn't want kids, you're completely wrong that men don't get flack for it. A lot of people will treat you like there's something wrong with you once they find out, with women tending to react more strongly (and rudely)
11:10 Shaming people. Shaming people usually makes the people that are being shamed dig their heels in harder. What it does do though is it makes others take notice and see the person being shamed and then the people witnessing the shaming are much much less likely to do something similar because they see the person being shamed and think "I don't want to make that same mistake and get called out like that".
What a pleasure listening in on the conversation between two extremely intelligent people
This was beautiful. Love Chelsea, love Roy, real recognize real.
Chelsea speaks with such passion ❤
I started getting teary-eyed pretty much every time she talked about what our rights are looking like in this country.
Your compassion shows big time, Chelsea….I, for one, appreciate it.
Chelsea promotes other comedians more than any other comedian I've ever seen. She is consistently undervalued and underrated for producing.
Conan does a lot of promotion for comedians too
You got it, what you, "...have ever seen." She has about 40 million $$. How "underrated" is that?
I am a woman and mother and I adore you, Chelsea. I loved your skit about being a happy single, childless woman, too!😂🤣😂💙🐉❤️
Thank you, Chelsea. I'm a woman who drew up not liking babies, not wanting to play with dolls, not wanting to babysit anyone's kids of any age. No one in my family ever thougth I'd grow up to be a mother. And yet when I entered the working world, my bosses always directed my career with the assumption that I would quit one day to have kids. ... sigh... girl.. I get it.. like.. I'm so tired of asian female culture atm..
agreed
I loved and adored her segment on not having children. It was spot on. Her moment of Zen was brilliant. Yes. find humor in this lunacy. I looooove her.
I've always had great admiration for Chelsea's work.
Great interview! Roy had a fantastic first episode!
Roy and Chelsea!!!!
What a treat! Love to you both
Great questions and great responses.
Top of the list of hosts, love the girl boss energy
Love your strong and articulate voice!
Two of my favorite guest hosts so far!
Roy and everyone hosting the show, bravo!
You are both Top Shelf.
Both of you were sooooo fun and smart, with the right amount of ruthlessness on Daily, and I want one of you, or both !!! As true hosts. With your permission of course. Thank you so much for being you.
Yes, Chelsea!! She kills it every single time I see her face.
Chelsea, you're the genuine article! You are precious to real woman.
I love her and women like her. She would be an excellent friend to have.
As a mother!! I absolutely loved her segment on not having children..not only was it hilarious but i could fantasize about that life..then go back to being mom 😄

😂 Seriously! I can relate to fantasizing about being childless, as a mother of 8 🥴
We are all mothering someone be it child or adult or fur babies 😊
@@bovinityleak2066 or ourselves haha for example, there are times when I'm in bed and I have to mother myself, "Jessica, you have to brush your teeth before bed. Go on, get up and take care of your body."
This isn't just me, right?
Be the "Chelsea" you want to see in your day! Massive Respect!
Oh, Chelsea, YOU make me happy! Live long, and stay close to a microphone.
I have to say, I never comment and I have seen every Chelsea Handler interview you have ever known. This is one of the best interviews I have ever heard someone give her. What thorough research and questioning and subtle emotional attunement it took to wrangle someone like Chelsea Handler in an interview like this. Bravo.

Yes, super interview.
❤ every moment of this!
We need more people like her!!!!
Watching the daily show is what keeps me going !
I really appreciated this conversation. Love the format. Roy is fabulous. So is Chelsea. Greetings from Germany.
You go Chelsea! I am old and worn, thread-bare, by a life-time of being told to "tone it down".
You're right, Roy. This is that extra stuff that makes me really enjoy my Nachos. Loved this segment. 25:28 was the mic drop moment, for me. That question comes from such a straight and logical place, it really hits on the mentality of politics invading the conversation and trying to argue against common sense.
Thanks for keeping it real and for speaking up on behalf of others.
I absolutely love you both!!
Wow. Just what i needed to hear. Thx!
Chelsea is [hilariously] iconic. Love her works Roy.
Great job kudos to you both!
I wasn't a huge fan of Chelsea's guest host time, but you got down under her abrasive exterior to the real person. Nice job Roy!
I enjoyed this. Thoroughly I enjoyed this. Real talk between real people.
AND THIS IS WHY SHE NEEDS TO BE THE NEXT PERMANENT HOST! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE
I'm going to say it out front when I see Chelsea Handler I click on whatever it is.
Me too! She’s so sharp. I learn something from her every time. She’s amazing!
i've known about her for a long time but had no idea roy could something other than a comic. he was great as host and also great at this.
i can't figure out how to edit comment to insert the word "be" between the words "could" and "something" so i'll just commend chelsea on not dismantling tucker carlson further. he isn't worth the effort.
Love Chelsea and Roy!
Great talk!
RWjr & CH... what a great combo!
Thank you both for your leadership & humor.
Love Chelsea and Mr. R
Spending my morning to listen to these two inspiring people.
Respect to you both
Love Chelsea and hope she is the new full time host of The Daily Show Along with the amazing Daily support staff! She operates in the spirit of Jon Stewart to bring up subjects that others are afraid or too dull to approach.
Such a well-rounded and evolved woman and a super talented comedian. One of my favourite people on the planet (who I don't know)
You’ve got a friend Chelsea;) I’m experiencing many of the issues that you handle. I look forward to chilling with a like minded woman 😂😊❤
Chelsea is so freakin' funny! I've been a huge fan for decades. It seems I've loved her forever! ❣🥰😍😘🤟👍
Excellent thank you!
Roy Wood Jr. should be The Daily Show host!
Chelsea is 1 of 1 .
An exceptional human being.
Shamon, Bday Twin! 🙌🏽
This is great, thanks again to Chelsea and Roy Wood Jr!
I think you found your new full time host in Roy Wood. He is perfect.
I’d vote Chelsea for senator anyday!
I've loved SO many of the guest hosts, but Chelsea really does just have...IT. She kills it every time and really deserves the job. She's even said she wants to be the host!

They do it now to a married woman. And a man--married or not--who must make such a difficult decision together.
Two of my favorite people
You interview very well Mr. Jr.
Chelsea’s been doing a lot of reading. She’s smarter on her worst day than Tucker Carlson
I love Roy
And Roy, I love you too. Beautiful interview!
Great Interview. To quote Dj Khaled "Another One" that was a classy Moment of Zen.
Great talk ❤ Love you both
Chelsea reminds us not to sell our emotions cheaply and to laugh often, because she lives it, not just says it.
What do you mean don’t sell your emotions to bleed? What does that mean?
*cheaply* not to bleed 🤦🏼♀
Do a round table show that!
Perfect 😂 again lol
Before Roy started hosting, it was Chelsea, Sarah Silverman and Wanda Sykes for me. But since Roy has been hosting, it’s Chelsea and Roy now. They are amazing at both hosting and interviewing, and have a point of view.
Awesome podcast! ❤
Her clapping back at the "receding hairline group" was comedy GOLD! The misogyny is insane and incredibly rude how she was treated.
Roy Wood Jr. for host! And bring on Chelsea to do panel.
Smart, insightful, revolutionary. Great comedian.
Chelsea is a powerful woman
I admire her and think Roy is the best host!
Great interview!
Roy, you’re awesome for having awesome women like Chelsea and Dolce on your show instead of just other male comics. I think you’re one of the funniest guys in the business❤
Two of my favorite people…..erudite as well as tongue in cheek to help put across the truth……

I love these 2. Golden.
Thank you Chelsea for being a role model and voice for women who choose to remain childless and also for advocating for all marginalized groups
Brilliant!❤️🍀🌈😇🙏🏻❣️
Hi, Chelsea Handler, thank you for sharing your video. While the headphones might not be my cup of tea, I appreciate the effort you put into creating it. Everyone has different tastes, and I respect your perspective. Wishing you the best with your channel!
He's a great interviewer
You spoke for me Chelsea! LOL!
Gawd, I've been crushing on Chelsea Handler since I stumbled onto Girls behaving badly. She's a total mensch.
Chelsea- you be the best!!

Hey Roy! I love Chelsea!.....🥰...And I like you!...🤗
Chelsea, I have matured and grown with you. So much that I didn’t like you when I met you and now respect and love you!😘

Love her
I think she would make a fantastic next host for the Daily Show... Or Hassan Minaj...
love her!
As a foster parent i really appreciate people are smart enough to not reproduce.
