He's an adorable and incredibly talented little boy and watching his father trying desperately not to cry was very moving. As Brad said, "what will he be like when he's my age".
I manage a small atelier style art school in Hong Kong, where we have many students like Sum who possess talent, intelligence and charm. Some play music brilliantly, some dance with the confidence of a person twice their age.. and we have some who can do it all: play music, draw/paint, dance and play sports...and do very well in school... most are around Sum's age... I look forward to following his early journey as a musician and performer. He is a winner.
No one was robbed .. there was no winner .. it was the performance of the night .. and Brad’s performance was the performance of the night as it came from his heart ❤️
@@andrewwhetton7 I feel Brad's performance was 'the performance of the night' because he went on and on about his life story from the get go. He's wonderfully talented (absolutely) but I'm just saying as a pianist Sum is more accomplished incredibly at just 10. Yes I agree, they are all winners and I hope they all have great futures
When the American pianist & componist Emily Bear was age 8 she was invited by Lang Lang to come to China for two concerts on TV. This concerts are made to Masterclasses for professional pianist and piano studends. (Sorry for my Englisch)
I'm always concerned when I see very young piano players that they have been bullied into it by pushy parents, but seeing his father's pride and emotions barely under control, his sentiment seem to be entirely for his son's wellbeing.
This boy has so much grace and skill. It's marvellous to see what being a supportive father can do for someone like Sum.

Hes 10, it says in the title.

a talented child doesn't need to be " bullied" into it, he reveals himself at all opportunities, parents just accompany him for the best -
@@smartladylr For every talented child, I can show you 10; even 100 who were the results of pushy parents.
No gender pronoun nonsense here…!!!
Someone needs to work on the mixing of the piano. Got to be one of the driest and dynamicless recordings I've come across...
