Would you mind sharing your wife's channel? I'd be interested in seeing what it's about! I'm considering starting a youtube channel in 2024 as a beginner; what topics/niche would you suggest? Don't worry, it won't be a camera gear channel. LOL. Btw, I like your brand of humor, it's quite aligns with my own. Not to compare, but I think there's a definitely an audience for camera gear reviews that interject personal humor for both informational and entertainment value... like your channel and Camera Conspiracies... Lastly, I'm also impressed that you're still able to find the time to do RUclips given that you have a child with special needs. Wishing you and your family good health and fortune.
i dont want direct linking because she will see in her metrics, but search this phrase "thu nguyen cuoc song o my" you will find her 😆. if you look at her "popular videos", I had committed 30 videos and a guarantee of 1K subs with a very simple strategy, very long, not necessarily drawn out, but thorough videos, like three or four a week, and boom, the channel took off. Most of the videos this year, is created by her, she's on her own now after MUCH protest 🤣🤣, still help her from time to time but I weasel my way out of it as I can. As for your topics, consider two in mind, in case one doesnt pan out the way you want it, it can be anything that is infotainment, talking about what you enjoy, taxes, finances, golf, weight loss, muscle building, just dont box yourself in something too specific, camera gear is not my first, it was secondary but I knew I sucked, and I can acknowledge that, so I had to make a lot of videos to learn the ropes, and you will have to acknowledge that you will need to learn the ropes, I was a natural introvert, talking to the camera was extremely difficult for me, but you get comfortable after a while. it's just like photography, you put in your hours and you get better and along the way, you may find out you like portraits instead of landscapes, macro instead of flash, etc. as for my special needs kids, it can be tough, but I have my four other kids help on occasion 😂😂
Excellent video. I made the mistake of growing my channel based on a concept that I thought would be very useful and beneficial for users. It involved remastering and enhancing vintage concert footage. It took off and I grew to over 1000 subs and 16k view hours in like 2 months. UNFORTUNATELY....when it came to monetizing, RUclips flagged me for REUSE and denied me (TWICE NOW). I mistakenly thought that "substantial change/added value" would include audio. Apparently not. Instead, that is reserved for people that "REACT" instead. SIGH. I got such positive feedback for the efforts, but it now seems like my channel has been algorithmed into RUclips hell as only a Remastered Concert channel (which can't be monetized). My intention was to pivot, but nothing is getting picked up. Question I have... do I suck it up and start over with another channel and build subs/hrs from scratch or remove the offending content altogether and hope that my original content will somehow get picked up by the algorithm? I'd like to continue offering some of the non-monetized content to my viewers since most subscribed for it...but I cannot get monetized at all as long as it's out there. Would moving it to private temporarily help/work while going through the monetization process or would YT still see everything including private/unlisted and factor that into my approval? I just hate that I am unable to speak with anyone to get a definitive answer and the fact that my appeal video seems to have gone on deaf ears. The fact that I have to wait 3 months between attempts is also weighing heavily on my motivation. LOL. Hope you might have a little advice for me. Thank you!
Your channel is probably marked, i would start a new one. In the grand scale of things, you need at least 50K views a month to make 200 bucks, and that’s not much money. You gotta put yourself out there, make your own stuff, commentary videos, tutorials, reviews, general infotainment. It takes time to figure it out, but once you understand it, growing a channel is a matter of putting in the work. I am of the opinion that longer videos are better than shorter, it gives the audience time to absorb and truly connect with the creator, and of course you don’t want to waste people’s time either, do work off bullet points or even a teleprompter. If you’re passionate about a topic, then stick with it, when given enough time, RUclips can find you an audience. If you plan on making money via YT, then come up with an idea before starting a new channel.
@@CharlieVN Thank you for your quick response. I think I'll go with your advice and niche down a bit and focus solely on completely original content (albeit, in a tough tech market). Thanks again for taking the time out to respond. I greatly appreciate it!
of course, however, you need streams of revenue aside from YT to support said ventures, because that sure as heck wont be enough. It takes time, energy, and you have to know how to run a business, which can be foreign to many of the artistic creator types that join youtube.
Я снимаю видео не для того что бы зарабатывать. А для того что бы после моей смерти осталось хоть что-то. Не только черточка между двумя датами на могильном камне
This was great. I like these kind of “reflective” videos on topical subjects from people who know a lot more than myself
Glad you enjoyed it, hope it can help others along the way.
Thanks for the video and sharing your personal circumstances.
Very insightful perspective from someone on the inside
Interesting content! Appreciate the candid share!

Curiosity Incorporated makes a lot of money and then has live chats and people send cash just because he is a nice guy, funny old world.

Some creators have a large crew working for them?
