Kryptonic IceShard I have a question I want a board just to ride around and not get into tricks yet but I might want to in the future I don’t know yet but just for riding around what’s best?
Idk Well if u want to Do that i think u should get a longboard but.. If u want to do tricks then u should get a skateboard Cuz its really hard to do tricks on a longboard how do i know that: i just got a longboard. If this info helped u idk then ur Welcome
I've been watching a lot of videos on types of boards, wheels, etc and this was helpful. I'm an old lady on a skateboard - 51 and reliving my youth, having a blast. Just bought what I now know is a cruiser. Thx for the info!
Also 51, and started riding again. Longboard for me. Not going to be riding a ramp or grinding curbs or ollie over small dogs anymore. Its all about the ride.
Yeah Sue! Thats awesome! I myself am 50 years young and just bought an electric Ownboard Mini "cruiser" two weeks ago! I rode 20 years ago and grew up on a board in SoCal in the 70's, basically at skating infancy so the muscle memory is still there...just gotta work the actual muscles!! That being said, Electric is a whole 'nother game! I get to ride UPHILL MAMMA! Hell, sometimes I accelerate going uphill! Then theres the endless cruise... No foot kicking needed. Just lean into the wind and go! You have to pay as much or more attention to road conditions, dips and crevices come up fast! And they are heavy in comparison so no tricks and carrying them is a workout. But what Fun! I always dreamed of strapping to RC Cars to my feet when I was little... Dream achieved!
I started out with a penny from Walmart at first and then slowly got into skating, I've been skating me for 9 months now and it's probably the best choice I've made
I have all 3, but personally I think if your just getting into skateboarding then you should get a long board due to it helping you be able to comfortably use any other type of board.
Caracal If you plan on using it to commute reasonable distances and if you want to comfortably bring it with you wherever you go, get a cruiser. If you want one for long distance rides, get a longboard.
Matt Monstermouth I can't explain it too well, so your best bet is to look up "Rat Vision" on RUclips and watch their videos about bearings to better educate yourself. Their information is accurate and thorough.
Am I the only one who hates pennnyboards since they can't go over anything for shit. It's just my opinion since they're not my type of board but I wasted 150 on one and it's not my cup of tea for my style of riding
I'm a beginner, I started with my sister's fake nickel and I kinda can cruise around but the wheels are so shitty -,- everytime when I try to go straight it goes right (yes I've tighten the trucks) so I'm planning to buy a real penny nickel bc I'm used to the nickel's size but do you guys think that that's a smart idea? Right now I just wanna cruise around maybe I'll buy a skateboard later cuz doing tricks also seems like fun
i have alk three of them and my experience is skateboard: first board where i started on, good for tricks not long rides on every surface longboard: nice for some tricks (specialy the ones with a kick-tail) but mostly for traveling its a great cheap and fast option cruiser: fun to have but after a while your feet will hurt and on surfaces with cracks or litlle stones you will have to push more times, the are nice for small traveling like from your house to the trains station and from the station to work, but if you have to walk a while to or from work, station etc. its more comferteble to have a longboard you can start on all of these, i would recomend a longboard or skateboard because of the good balance on them if your all new to longboarding i would recomend a drop-through one because it has more balance (pintails are also pretty comfterible)
I'll break it down in the easiest way. Skateboard: perfect to start learning cause it's small and you can shift your weight comfortably, you can choose your wheels depending on what you want making it versatile. Longboard: If you know what you're doing or just wanna ride cause you know what you're about, good to learn on and a joy to ride along the city for hours, bigger wheels means more speed and space traveled, not as great to handle in tight city corners as a skateboard but still good if all you want is that quality. Cruisers: if you're an asshole that wants to get that "modern skater" look, don't care about quality (cruisers will get really, REALLY, annoying after 15 minutes of travel no matter the size), and need something to put your dick on to make it look bigger, look no further, with this you'll have the benefits of cruisers like no room to put your feet so your balls, if you have them, can breathe, actually, same for girls, the madam ain't getting any breeze if you have a nice pair of thighs; the great lack of being able to shift your weight without the threat of literally falling and eating floor; and who can forget the joy that is being about as basic as a military academy uniform when your setup looks just like that other one you just bought at the store, with no originality or soul.
dem ver• The problem with that is that you'll get used to the bigger wheels and more stability so going down will be a bit harder, plus if you wanna do tricks you usually just ride for a few days, let's say two weeks of just riding around town until you first attempt to ollie, if you have a longboard not only is it more expensive but you're losing precious time, it's always best to go from something a bit more challenging to something easier, you save time and money, and skateboards being smaller you can store them easier and you can tighten your trucks to you liking, get bigger softer wheels, you can basically turn them into a mini longboard, after you get the hang of it just swap out your wheels, loosen the trucks and skate on my friend.
dem ver• well it depends, do you have the budget for a longboard, if you do then go for it, if you don't, make one out of a skateboard if you need to cruise at the moment and can't afford to wait, say you're going to school and need a way to get about and don't have the cash it'll work for you just as it works for me, I have two sets of wheels for my board, a set for tricks, and a set for cruising. It all comes down to budget.
I've been looking for a video that goes in depth of the three and this seems to be the only clear, concise video I could find. Awesome video and accent!!
I love to longboard with my dog! I’m thinking of getting a skateboard or trying a cruiser and wanted to know some more about it all. I absolutely love long boarding it’s one of my favorite things to do.
I have a cruiser that is 22" and it's ok.. my first board and I always feel like I should have gotten a skateboard.. but it has led lights and I think it's cool.. it's whatever
ArwaGhaziTV it's easy man you can start the 4 wheel thing makes it much easier. If you can balance on a bike you can learn. Once you get the mechanics of it you'll be good.
I used to own a cruiser, my dad bought it for me when i was around 10 year old. . .i didnt know what to do with it because it lookd kinda heavy, but nevertheless i rode it on the streets as it was very confortable down hill. Now im 27 and im planning on getting a cruizer board again to rekindle that inner child in me 😊
I used to play my brother's pennyboard when i was like 9 and it was pretty easy to control. Now im planning to buy a pennyboard again but i also think of buying a longboard or scooter.
While the longboard is smoother and goes faster than ctuisers, cruisers like penny australias can go at extremely fast speeds, are pretty smooth, can carve faster, and are portable
keep in mind long boards are big and more for downhill travel and a cruiser isn't as fast but is easier to carry around . just consider the pros and cons for u
DIY Cruiser Board What you'll need: Old regular skateboard deck Regular skateboard trucks Soft bushings Longboard or cruiser wheels 1/2 inch set of risers 1 1/2 inch hardware. build up the deck how you normally would but with risers, cruiser wheels, and hardware Grip tape is optional but not technically needed.
I have a penny and skateboard and what I like better is penny(cruiser) because of the sharp turns and slick wheels. I like my penny to personally be very loose to turn my drive way. I also recommend the penny brand nickel board because of the bigger size of 27".
I cruise on a cruiser board, but I do much more than just riding. I do cruiser tricks, bomb hills a little bit, slide around, possible wallrides, and stuff like that. Am I the only one who uses a cruiser board for that? I'm 14 and I just think that a longboard might be too big for me, idk. But are there others out there who use a cruiser like me, or am I just weird? Cuz I am very determined to lean cruiser tricks like better slides and boneless', but I feel like everyone talks about cruisers like they are only meant for the city? Idk if anyone has an input please comment
i actually like skate boards better than long boards besides i know its hard but practice and it will be good impress your friends and for long boards i think you have to go to mountains for the best experience
Basically if you want to do tricks that involve lifting the board, get a regular popsicle board If you really just want to cruise, get a long board. Tricks are still possible on a long board but you can’t do anything big like an Ollie, you can do longboard dancing and pivot it things like that
i have skated 2 years and for the beginners you should buy cruiser coc its easy to ride, small and good for going short distances. but if you want to go long distance and good balance you should buy longboard
Depends on how your neighborhood looks like is it hilly and if you want to do some tricks time to time if it’s hilly and you just wanna ride with no trucks get a longboard but if you want to do some tricks get a cruiser but it’s really your choice
Camryn Reilly Warren it’s usually the same you can get different sizes but it’s like a few inches of difference if you want a longboard it just depends on how good you are shorter will be harder but a cruiser is a little different so it’s really just preference with size
i've got a skateboard and a penny board. had the board for about 8 months or so now, and i've rode it around everywhere and have been learning tricks, but stole a walmart penny board tonight and rode it home. i've got to say, i'm really enjoying the little cruiser. i can see myself going around town on the cruiser and skating local spots with my deck.
I have a penny board, it's a great board I like it. Small, light weight, easy to carry around, but now a days it feels like a little small to me, so I'm thinking of getting a a little bigger cruiser, Landyachtz Dinghy looks good to me, it has plenty of room to step my feet, and feels stable
I want a board to get around my town a bit quicker. I would get a long board but I heard they're not easy to turn with and I live in the suburbs so idk how big a problem that could be. I would get a cruiser but I heard those get annoying after a while. And I'm not trynna learn tricks with a skate board. Help.
Miguel H3 you could get a nickel board offers a bigger size and is a cruiser so I think it should turn better (based off no experience and based off of various RUclips videos
i say its up to each person to decide for his/her self!! Me i choose a longboard! why? its just what i got for christmas! (i'm very new, not riding yet do to rainy weather)
People saying that penny's aren't for adults are wrong. I wear a size 11 shoe. I'm 5'11 200 lbs. And I ride it everywhere in downtown Seattle. It fits in a large backpack and only weighs a couple pounds. It's all about balance. Just like the first time you rode any board It takes time and practice
Get a longboard if your gonna ride all around your city or say even 2 miles I'd really recommend and longboard but if you gonna go short distances say like 600 meters I'd go with the cruiser
It really depends on what you are going to use it for. longboard- you can cruise around and go at fast speeds, skateboard- really good for tricks, but not for cruising, pennyboard- more portable and can cruise
I have globe geminion 38' complete it's awesome for slides and cruise You should look for that longboard or you can buy LandYatchz but they are more expensive than globe
i mean, i live in a city where sidewalks are really narrow. i currently have a skateboard but im getting something new. cruiser or longboard? i like the longboard but in not sure if its good for cruising around my area. also i dont feel so comfortable on cruisers. any suggestions?
If skateboards are unsuitable for just riding around because of their wheels and bearings, does that mean they are if I use longboard wheels and bearings?
Get a wide old skool style board with some slight pop on the nose. Its good all around. You can smash threw the city and ollie/ride up curbs and obstacles. And allot more . . .
I have a skateboard a penny and I bought a longboard yesterday. Pennys are good for beginners but longboards in my opinion are the best. Super easy to balance and really smooth. Hover boards are the best tho
I see boards the same way I see consoles (don't take this personal) Skateboard - XBOX (I dont have an xbox and I barely use my skate) Longboard - Playstation Penny - Nintendo
+Isaac Fernandez so what no one cares.its just his voice Is a little bit different.what did you expect people to think of your obvious comment?that you are a revolutionary genius?
I'm getting a long board because I don't trust myself to do tricks and I would only use it as transportation. What I don't understand is why it's so hard to find very large and very soft wheels. Long boards were made for rougher terrain which makes me wonder why there are lots more smaller and harder wheels for sale.
What to choose depends on your skating style. There are several types of boards that facilitate every type of skater. It can get pretty technical but TV hat matters the better you get and to start to dial in your style.. it can change or you may be a multi style skater like me. I ride longboards but do flip tricks on them I do high speed downhill with full slides and aggressive carving I board walk and surf style carve and also do long cruise skates. I skate various short boards for skatepark and pool
longboard is bigger so it’s harder to control but more comfy since you got a lot of room 7/10 Skateboard is perfect size easy to control not as comfy as long board but better IMO 9/10 Cruiser is smaller making it very very easy to control but is not comfy at all and you can fall easier 5/10
Cruiser's are great for college campuses and dodging shit in the city. They're portable and work fine for mediumish distances but I wouldn't ride one for several hours. They perform alright on hills but don't try to bomb anything crazy. Stay away from penny boards, they tend to be small and unstable at high speeds. If you get a cruiser get a wood one.
I have a Cruiser (penny board) and i like it so for me the best is Cruiser but if you what too improve your balance you should go with long board bit i dont have a long board but i just herd that longboard is the best if u whant too lern bore balnce in your board
"Long board deck is very long" WOW
B.O.A XDDDDDDDDD
8-Bitten no shit sherlock!!! hahaha

God Eater long dong
If you wanna do tricks get a skateboard,if you wanna cruise get a longboard.
and if both?
Then you could a cruiser,or buy both a longboard and skateboard.
The weight would still be too much to make tricks with i'm guessing
how much does a longboard costs the cheapest
MMv RRf Super cheap longboards can go for $60. I don't know how good they are though. (let me know if you get a good cheap one xD)
anyone else in quarantine and wants to get into skating?
Same
I'll help you as I have been skating since 2014

VsDamani don't get it from Walmart
Ashton Blanchette I never said it was you fucking idiot, I started riding a penny and then wanted a skateboard to learn tricks in which I got.
Well, it looks like _someone_ buys into stereotypes. Looking at you ASHTON.
Damani plz tell me how much the small penny board costs
Ali Ibrahim From 20 to 40 bucks
rode all three, go for the longboard hands down
Definitely a longboard
Btw ❤️ your profile pic!
Yeah I own all three and the long board is definitely better
Cody M. YESSS LONGBOARD FL
I prefer microboards
This is basically just a commercial for cruisers. Even the music switches to full ad-mode, to make it even more obvious

Cruisers are so tiny and cheap. My opinion is longboard all the way
Abby Cawood same
Im getting a longboard anyway so i dont know why im watching this
@@Abigail.c101 A good cruiser will cost you as much as a longboard.

There's a learning curve if you're riding a deck that's smaller than what you're used to. It's not as extreme as starting from scratch, though.
Jordan McHighlander so beginner skaters should get long board?
I just want to ride it in the roads , sidewalk, etc no tricks just riding idk if i should get a cruiser or longboard
Caracal If you plan on using it to commute reasonable distances and if you want to comfortably bring it with you wherever you go, get a cruiser. If you want one for long distance rides, get a longboard.
Caracal same here
Caracal I'm thinking about penny board or cruiser whatever people wanna it
Aobist same
I say longboard
The penny board is like the skateboards gay cousin
Pennyboards and skateboards are two different things
@@Sal-zs1ob trust me, they know
I learned skating on a pennyboard first because its the hardest.....when i hopped on a real board it was like switching from a hooptie to a Mercedes.
potato skateboard is for tricks and it is so slow, penny board is fast small to drive in the city
But a useful cousin.
*( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)*
your information about bearings is wrong
I noticed that too
Giovanni Gutierrez B.
How so? I want to buy a board and I don't know which type, so, the information about bearings could be really useful
Matt Monstermouth I can't explain it too well, so your best bet is to look up "Rat Vision" on RUclips and watch their videos about bearings to better educate yourself. Their information is accurate and thorough.
Giovanni Gutierrez i think he knows nothing on skateboarding

Lol should have got a nickel.

only the cheap ones do that, but I see where you're coming from dude
TyApplePie I agree
i have alk three of them and my experience is
skateboard: first board where i started on, good for tricks not long rides on every surface
longboard: nice for some tricks (specialy the ones with a kick-tail) but mostly for traveling its a great cheap and fast option
cruiser: fun to have but after a while your feet will hurt and on surfaces with cracks or litlle stones you will have to push more times, the are nice for small traveling like from your house to the trains station and from the station to work, but if you have to walk a while to or from work, station etc. its more comferteble to have a longboard

I bought a cruiser and I don’t know what to do with it.
I‘m in longboarding and pennyboarding!
So what do u suggest me? I want to just ride a board. No tricks. I just want a board which I can use to go easily somewhere.
@@fkf5281 if you want to just ride my best recommendation is a longboard👍
So I wanna get a long board it's like 40 inch is it hard to turn or stuf?
skateboarding with tricks is 100x more fun
@@injuriouss to you
I have a penny board, it's a great board I like it. Small, light weight, easy to carry around, but now a days it feels like a little small to me, so I'm thinking of getting a a little bigger cruiser, Landyachtz Dinghy looks good to me, it has plenty of room to step my feet, and feels stable
It's hard to hear what he's saying really
I bought a cruiser from Walmart unknowingly today and so far it's been great for a beginner like me!
Kabir Sokhi I just got one to, is it easy to get used to?
hang ridden it yet
havent
Kabir Sokhi dont get any board from Wal-Mart
I want a board to get around my town a bit quicker. I would get a long board but I heard they're not easy to turn with and I live in the suburbs so idk how big a problem that could be. I would get a cruiser but I heard those get annoying after a while. And I'm not trynna learn tricks with a skate board. Help.
Miguel H3 you could get a nickel board offers a bigger size and is a cruiser so I think it should turn better (based off no experience and based off of various RUclips videos
Miguel H. Get a 30"-40" longboard with open spaces for the wheels. My Sector 9 turns well enough to use exclusively on sidewalks
The Miguel Hernandez haha suburbs
i say its up to each person to decide for his/her self!!
Me i choose a longboard! why? its just what i got for christmas! (i'm very new, not riding yet do to rainy weather)
Cruiser all the way
People saying that penny's aren't for adults are wrong. I wear a size 11 shoe. I'm 5'11 200 lbs. And I ride it everywhere in downtown Seattle. It fits in a large backpack and only weighs a couple pounds. It's all about balance. Just like the first time you rode any board It takes time and practice
I thought I clicked on a NFKRZ video
dude nice video liked and subbed
I would love to start skating in the city, but really want a longboard. What should i get?
Get a longboard if your gonna ride all around your city or say even 2 miles I'd really recommend and longboard but if you gonna go short distances say like 600 meters I'd go with the cruiser
Ok thanks bro i just picked up a $200 sector 9 longboard from ron jon's thanks for the help
+n np your welcome
Unstable Ninja what should I get for beginner
Iceskates for winter, inline for summer
Thank you I have been wanting to get a longboard but idk if it was the best but now it is completely suitable with me thanks you again
Longboard the best
whats the name of that background track uptil 1:30? ive heard it before but cant remember the name
Whats beerings
i died at that part 😂
It really depends on what you are going to use it for. longboard- you can cruise around and go at fast speeds, skateboard- really good for tricks, but not for cruising, pennyboard- more portable and can cruise
I want to get a longboard for just riding good choice? Please help
Lol depends. What does "just riding mean" just transportation or just for fun and as a sport
if you dont wanna do All those tricks and Stuff just get a longboard, i got my second one yesterday and i really like it👍
buy a longboard you like and buy bone red bearings, they'll run you about $17 and they make your wheels spin so much longer, easy upgrade
Where did you get it from ? And how much does it cost?
I have globe geminion 38' complete it's awesome for slides and cruise You should look for that longboard or you can buy LandYatchz but they are more expensive than globe
But u can change the wheels of a skateboard to ATFs (all terrain formula). They get over cracks and ride on rough surfaces.
i mean, i live in a city where sidewalks are really narrow. i currently have a skateboard but im getting something new. cruiser or longboard? i like the longboard but in not sure if its good for cruising around my area. also i dont feel so comfortable on cruisers. any suggestions?
Just get a cruiser board
You can also use a longboard to cruise around
Abec rating has nothing to do with speed
I just bought a £15,000 pure gold penny board and totally have no guts to step on it....tell me how pls
I had to give it a like for "the xx" background music
Hahhaa me too
A skateboard is a skateboard, a long board is a long board, a cruiser is a shipliner
If skateboards are unsuitable for just riding around because of their wheels and bearings, does that mean they are if I use longboard wheels and bearings?
long boards and cruisers have softish wheels which travels longers and can ride easier since the wheels are smooth
R3kk3rz1n
So that is a "yes"?
+Schwarzer Ritter you can put then on a skateboard but because the wheels are soft it'll be harder to do tricks
Oat- Meal So hard wheels for tricks and soft wheels for cruising?
+Schwarzer Ritter yes exactly
Get a wide old skool style board with some slight pop on the nose. Its good all around. You can smash threw the city and ollie/ride up curbs and obstacles. And allot more . . .
"Its bent on the sides" lol they're called kicktails, come on mate
I just got a longboard to make travel around my city easier? Was it the right choice?
for cruising it's a longboard
Why is there something named a cruiser then?
That person it’s probably just named like that. so basically if you want to do tricks and cruise, “cruiser” is the best choice.
I'm getting a longboard cruiser that is 40 inches LOL I love it
I have a skateboard a penny and I bought a longboard yesterday. Pennys are good for beginners but longboards in my opinion are the best. Super easy to balance and really smooth.
Hover boards are the best tho
Lmao
I’m thinking of getting a
regular skateboard
A cruiser
A penny board
2 different types of long boards
How is that going? Got any already?
I see boards the same way I see consoles (don't take this personal)
Skateboard - XBOX (I dont have an xbox and I barely use my skate)
Longboard - Playstation
Penny - Nintendo
Which is best for tricks
cough cough, he's a cruzer bias😂
which one is better for beginners
If you're a begginer get a cruiser or longboard , after you learned how to cruise get a real skateboard.
or be like me and fall a lot on a skateboard until you get it down and then ride a longboard. its like a yacht, but on land lol xD
Is it possible to use the longboard for long distances, because I prefer the long board design than a cruiser ?
you pronounce bearings as Beh-rings
no sheett
***** he's not pronouncing it right
+Isaac Fernandez so what no one cares.its just his voice Is a little bit different.what did you expect people to think of your obvious comment?that you are a revolutionary genius?
BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERINGZ
u see boy. that is what we normal humans call accents.
old school skateboards are the best in my opinion for tricks cruising, high-speed , feels like a cloud
skate board the best
jeremijs jekabsons finally someone who's into the old boarding for over 40 years
So which is the best for beginners and for long distance riding?
Longboards 4 life🙌🏼
what does he say at 3:38? "where we often have to good us fall pavements"?
I like the cruiser, blyat
I'm getting a long board because I don't trust myself to do tricks and I would only use it as transportation. What I don't understand is why it's so hard to find very large and very soft wheels. Long boards were made for rougher terrain which makes me wonder why there are lots more smaller and harder wheels for sale.
can you do tricks with cruiser board
you can but little
yeah, but it's a bit harder and it's kinda limited
Take à Nickel if you want to make tricks and with à griptape.
You can dance on it
What to choose depends on your skating style.
1longboard
2skate
penny-NO!
I like skateboards,but i prefer longoboard
Which kind of skateboard is the best for travelin?
You wanna know what's cool, *A Fish Board With Shark Wheels*
longboard is bigger so it’s harder to control but more comfy since you got a lot of room 7/10
Skateboard is perfect size easy to control not as comfy as long board but better IMO 9/10
Cruiser is smaller making it very very easy to control but is not comfy at all and you can fall easier 5/10
Regular skateboards are the best. But anyway this guy didn't know what the fuck he was talking about
Cruiser's are great for college campuses and dodging shit in the city. They're portable and work fine for mediumish distances but I wouldn't ride one for several hours. They perform alright on hills but don't try to bomb anything crazy. Stay away from penny boards, they tend to be small and unstable at high speeds. If you get a cruiser get a wood one.
pizdec akcent!
Uhm uhm
I have a Cruiser (penny board) and i like it so for me the best is Cruiser but if you what too improve your balance you should go with long board bit i dont have a long board but i just herd that longboard is the best if u whant too lern bore balnce in your board
