Man your recipes are so good and I love the simplicity in approach. You don’t waste a bunch of time talking for 5-10 minutes. Great videos, good edits, good voice over and delicious simple recipes that are so easy to get right. Making this again tonight! By the way your tofu method is the best I have come across...perfect texture every time and no press needed!
Lay Ho Ma, Wil - thank you so much for this recipe. It is always a pleasure to access your wonderful recipes because of it's simplicity, easy to follow and understand your instructions and the complete list of ingredients.
You sold me on tofu! Never cared much for it, but your preparation of seasoning and oven-toasting it first sounds delicious! In fact, bought some organic tofu so I can try it next week. Thanks!
So good! Added some chili oil to the tofu per other commenter, also added two chopped celery stalks and black sesame seeds, only had white mushrooms, I can’t believe it’s so simple yet flavorful 😊
Thank You so much for this Wil, and all of the other excellent dishes you have shared. I surprised myself with this one! Turned out fantastic and I baked a 'smoked' tofu variety.
Tried this recipe today for dinner. Omg i have no leftovers 😀 everyone loved the dish. I had no mushrooms so substituted some red bell peppers. Thanks for sharing another awesome recipe!!!
I always use honey instead of sugar. Sometimes you need to soften it before mixing in sauces or, the easy way, put in a small jar and shake until blended. Good music helps with the shaking🎶
Oh man that was great, didn't have shiitake mushrooms so I used oyster. Also I added a teaspoon of your chili oil With the olive oil at the start that took it up a notch. This will be one of my new favorites. Thanks again for another great recipe.
Started to try out your recipes and they are truly amazing! Just made this one and I loved it! Just one small inconsistency: you have written 2 tbsp cane sugar in description of your video but you mention 1 tbsp in the video itself. I made a larger quantity so I just doubled the services and made 3tbsp for the sugar and it worked well. Just wanted to point this out. Keep up the great work! Also, I noticed how you changed your video over the years, your cooking and filming skills definitely show in all of them! Your videos are a pleasure to look at and your recipes outstanding.
Going to store to get vinegar and sesame oil plus few thing I'm missing. Either tonight or tomorrow having this with quinoa.😛😛 Excellent recipe with easy ingredients. I love kung pao❤
This looks super delicious! I've never tried Kung Pao anything before so going to give this a shot for sure. My Sichuan peppercorns just arrived in mail!!! Btw, what kind of red chilis are those?
I was thinking the same thing. I have a maple syrup that has a nice Smokey flavor to it. I would think it would be perfect for something like this... well, only one way to find out.
Hi Wil. Would you mind providing the type of dried red chili peppers are best for this recipe? I have looked online and there seem to be dozens of different varieties, some.mild, some hot, and some very hot. I’m confused.
I was looking for a nice Kung pao recipe for long time! Now i have a veggie version to try :) is it important Touch use fresh shiitake, or du rehydrated ones work as well?
I cooked this out of your book and it was inedible, and I had to throw it out or burn up my tongue. Recipe here and in book says 1 tablespoon peppercorns, whereas in the video you say and use 1 teaspoon. Big difference.
LAY HO MA everyone! Who's having stir fry tonight???
Wil Yeung - Cook With Confidence HEY you gotta change the recipe in the description from TBSP to TSP for the schezuan peppers. I just caught it.
Hmmm it’s 1/2 tbsp Sichuan peppercorns.....?

Hi Wil, in the video you showed 1 tsp. Sichuan peppercorn but in the description you had written 1tbsp. Besides that the dish looks amazing!

Wil, couple maple syrup be subbed for the cane sugar in your recipes?
I was thinking the same thing. I have a maple syrup that has a nice Smokey flavor to it. I would think it would be perfect for something like this... well, only one way to find out.

So happy I found your channel!!! #RUclipsVeganFam
LAY HO MA - welcome! Glad you are here :)
In other videos, you do not put olive oil when you bake tofu. So when should we use oil, when not when baking tofu,? Thanks.
Me, autistic, overwhelmed, possibly hangry...watching Wil Yeung vids for comfort.
I was looking for a nice Kung pao recipe for long time! Now i have a veggie version to try :) is it important Touch use fresh shiitake, or du rehydrated ones work as well?
Both are fine 🥳
🤤🤤🤤🤤
nom nom nom
Hello
How can I replace sugar ? By honey ?
I use honey for all sugar additions.
All good to use a preferred sweetener 👌🏻
Please try to make an alternative for beyond meat its not available in country Can i replicate it at home?
I’ll keep it in mind ☺️
@@YEUNGMANCOOKING wow I'll be waiting for your plant based mock recipes
Why am I watching this at night??
😴🍲

It does seem like there is a typo, 1tsp makes more sense.
@@YEUNGMANCOOKING Otherwise, delicious. I'd make it again with the revised measurement.

Lovely recipes, newly subscribed. However, the whispering a la Gordon Ramsay is a bit annoying.
