I have owned two 10 speed transmissions, Ford F150 & GM Silverado. I still think the ZF 8 speed in the Rams is the best and strongest transmission available. How many speeds do we need? I know a lot of people with rams & Jeeps with the ZF 8 speed and no one I know has had an issue! This my opinion and has been my experience.
Tremor and Ford Trucks all day!
Good god 80k for the truck that is practically 8 years old😂
I’d be interested in an actual in depth comparison between the Superduty Tremor, the Silverado HD Zr2, and the Ram HD Rebel. I would say the power wagon too but you can’t get that with a diesel for all things being fair.
From a Ford truck owner here:
If you think the Ford 10 speed is a better operating transmission than the ZF 8 speed in the Ram, you haven't driven them. The transmission calibration is horrid. More clunks when it's confused than anything I've driven.
Having rental trucks for work I get to drive them all.
I might be wrong but this guy seems to be more geared towards soccer moms and not really serious off roaders. I could be wrong but that’s just what it sounds like.
This guy has been doing video reviews far too long. He has never been very enjoyable to watch. He dosnt seam to relate to me at all.
At the end of the video (day) you liked the Fords tires the best.... really, thats mainly what traction depends on. I will agree on the springs though. Driving both a Ram with and without the air ride, id never buy one with it. They're great for towing, horrible off road, especially turned up, where the suspension just becomes hard.
tremor
I like the ram
The Tremor 402A Pkg is superior in mud because it has a front Torsen diff that works in 4WD HIGH. Not because of weight, or tires, or engine choice, or suspension...
I’m glad someone mentioned the torsen diff. This guy glossed over it every time just referring to “offroad goodies”.
mines a 402a and doesn't have the torsen 😭
Tremor
Ram all day long… the interior is nicer, still.
The check from Ford is on the mail, guys. You’re good.
Ram is nicer? The rebel gets the basic interior and less features and cost just as much as the tremor.
Crappier clearance than the ford too.
@@geemee3364 you guys realize there are laws where they have to disclose if a video is sponsored right ?
The Rebel is due for a refresh.
agree even the trx on the street you just think ram maybe you think rebel. this is where even v6 raptor just stands out with looks and even tremor looks good in comparison
The refresh is coming for the 2025 model year
I prefer the ram rebel
FORD TREMOR...💪💪💪
THERE'S NO REPLACING A V8 GROWL!!
PERIOD...
RAM REBEL!
I tested (rented) all trucks before I bought one. Ram!.. And I dont off road in a fake road course.
yes the Ford is the better truck, the first reason is $6000 and overall quality and economy and quieter interior even at highway speeds, we had a truck comparison through the dealer group i work for and it was these 2 trucks, the Rebel was not as smooth in the off road dept, slightly better on road, issue with the Rebel was and is the air bags poor performance in cold weather here in Canada dealers are constantly replacing them under warranty to the point there is a waiting list from a parts shortage, also the quality is not there , if you trade one in with the air bags they really try to beat you down on trade in value and out of warranty to repair one corner costs you almost a $1000 by the time the dealer is finished with you, like in the beginning there's also $6000 reasons to consider buying the Tremor and the Tremor won't rust like the Rebel will, that is resale value
Why is it, that the air suspension doesn't have issues in WI? Also, the rust issues are more frame related these days. None of them are immune.
@@jasonfalk7696because all air bags struggle with cold weather. Compressing air in the cold will always be an issue no matter how it’s built
@NoVaRedacted I'm a truck driver. We never have issues with air ride, even in Canada. However, semi's have air dryers so they don't freeze. I'm not surenon the Ram though.
@@jasonfalk7696 yes that’s a professional application. So quality is different
so confused where you are recording in snow in Michigan unless you got lucky cuz right here in wisconsin we havent had snow and 2 days ago hit 30 degree temps
UP
Not the U.P. That was filmed sometime last year at Holly Oaks Offroad park. I live down the road from there. You can see the ski lodge in the background in some of the videos. Why release an older video now? Guessing this is part of “how Ford is trying to beat Ram” in new promos. Probably received a nice check from Ford after this video.
@@MP-dg8ewthey’re releasing it because the weather is changing and people look this up at this time of year. Common sense
My opinion these are not in comparison. Only reason why I say that is because they are in 2 different Engine Classes.
Why pick the tremor with the v6? When the v8 is the way to go.
i thought the same but i love the turbos man. psh psh 😝
We should be talking about the 2024 models. Really, a 2022 and a 2023, come on guys old news here.
Is that bunny hill?
But you can’t beat the growl of the hemi v8 that has brought joy for generations. The ram looks better to
No it doesn’t
why do you say that?@@kylehowe6761
Looks like a pig
2025 rebel vs 2025 tremor? 👀
Make mine a V8 !
Rather have a ram but thats just me
What reason other then blind brand loyalty
Other than i have one and its a tough truck, i use fords for work trucks and they fall apart probably that
@Grandpimpin22 I have a Ram as well, in 160k miles it's on its 3rd front end refresh, front diff grenaded itself once, front sway bar broke randomly where it bends not where you'd expect it to, it's on its 4th thermostat and needs a new one again it's a coolant pig because it, the mounting bracket for the parking brake cable under the driver but snapped off randomly. It's had its share of electrical headaches exhaust manifolds started leaking around 80k miles (poorly welded) first winter day it seen -20⁰f on low defrost the factory windshield cracked all the way across about 6 inches up from the bottom. Dodge has the most annoyingly intrusive traction control system.
I could keep going, it's been a good truck aside from the many issues, it's never been beat hard and most of its life has been spent on the highway. Every brand will have issues, the Expedition had a bracket on the differential break a two welds which would make a subtle clunking when backing up and turning it felt like a brake issue lol
@@Grandpimpin22 I respect the opinion but I’d have to say it’s an unfair comparison to compare a personal truck to a dedicated work truck, very likely one is going to be taken care of a lot more
I hate when Ford folks claim to do non-bias reviews. I will have to disagree picking the Ford over the Ram rebel with comfort, interior plus ride quality. I remember motor trend used to be the best and reviews now RUclipsrs seem to be more bias in fair with there reviews.
Who says they’re Ford folks? Maybe it just because the Ford is that much better?
All valid points...sorry
Yeah! Just because the Ford has more power, gets better MPG, can tow more, has a more modern interior, is better off-road…..😂
The Ram V8 sounds better than an ecoboost. But you can get the Tremor with a V8 as well.
@@cleetismcdougall5425better.mileage in town thats it
Seems like you might be a little biased lol
V8 all day 👌 not aV6 lawnmower 😂😂
The hemi is slower than a lawnmower 😂
@@andrewc1036 we don’t care about speed, more in how it sounds. We’re not taking it to the track 🤷♀️. People get V6 and then try to put an aftermarket exhaust to sound like a V8 and it will never compare 😂😂😂😂
Bs the screen the ram is better no doubt you sell fords
What a job🙏please
But Toyota beats wm both...lol
Silverado
The tremor is such a special truck, anyone who buys any dodge trucks, well I don’t wanna be mean so I’ll just say you have no business owning a truck.
Lol okay pony boy
Well, i can tell this guy is a Ford guy😀..
I’d rather have a tundra that doesn’t break down like these too.
Ok so you’d rather own the truck with turbo issues and a rear axle that falls off due to garbage assembly quality
@brandonruhl1639 every vehicle has its issues and problems. It's been this way for ever.
@@brandonruhl1639 yes
Yes, buy a Toyo that is dead last in features that real pickups need.
It’s easy to be reliable if your customers don’t actually use them like pickups.
Toyota…at least it’s not a Honda Ridgeline😂
@cleetismcdougall5425 lol yea Toyota definitely has honda beat but that's not hard in the truck department. Honda makes an excellent car by they have never made a truck.

Dodge 4 life😊
Man have times changed. We used to build our off roaders and they were awesome. Now people buy it all from the factory and rave about their leather seats. Yuppies!
$80k?
Hahaha hahaha....
meh
who names a truck tremor? a truck with parkinson's?
The people who make the best selling truck/automobile in the world named it Tremor.
Don't forget about the rattler😅
@@markweber5278 😂😂
At least Ford doesn’t pu “RAM” big and bold on the tailgate….😂
Over priced
Ford best design. But the ram has an “old school🤣” v8 so ram wins. The ford is almost perfect
Solution, just by the Ford tremor with a V8.
Ford makes a V8 and has that option for the F150 smh do ur research
Raptor R >>>> TRX so Ford >>> Ram….at least in my mind, feel free to disagree but i hv ur IP address 😈
The fair battle would be against the f150 shelby
😀 im glad u guys are back on You tube 🥲 we missed u lol
