Your demo using components and extrusions is very helpful. For transfer into Bambu Studio, I found exporting from Fusion in '.STEP' file format behaved better than 3MF or SVG formats and kept the text and object together with no re-assembly required in Bambu. Thanks for the tutorial.
Yes sir! If you select both objects (shift + click), right click on either of the selected models and select “merge models” at the bottom, it should mesh them nicely together. You will have to change the color before you merge! Let me know if you have any other questions, sir!
Good information and a different technique that I've been working with on horizontal inlay lettering. Horizontally, I use much less of an extrusion, like 0.4 just to get 2 layers for color saturation. With vertical letters, it seems like 2mm is a good starting point. Good demonstrations of Fusion 360 know how!! Cheers.
Cheers, my friend! Thanks for watching! I was torn as to the extrusion for the letters. I think you’re definitely right on with the horizontal letters, they would probably require much less. Thanks again!
so...this works... but not really... because this can be easily done on a AMS enabled printer yes... but then what was the point of the separate pieces? if thit is aimed at a single extruder printer... the text will not fit the piece because theres 0 tolerance.
This is made for a double extruder printer - I used the Ultimaker S3 here. In Cura, in order to change the color of the different pieces, you must have different file components for each different color piece. You are certainly correct, if someone was using a single extruder printer then tolerance would have to be taken into account!

Perfect thank you. is there a way that cura will line up the 2 bodies? Thank you Martin

Glad to see someone making a video with a Ultimaker printer.
The best printers out there!
