      Yes that's completely true, and I'm an idiot for not copping it at the time!

  • @bender9740

    Big thing I do every expansion, especially at a time like right now during patches, is grind every job to cap... And the way I go about it is rather simple and fast, just do your dailies then spam the highest available dungeon. I typically can cap a job in about 2-3 sessions if I have the time.
    Good video, I'm sure it'll help plenty of newcomers in the future :D

    • @DyingLegacy
      @DyingLegacy  Год назад +3

      That's basically how I capped mine in the end, as I was limited on time and my dailies would have reset!

    If you're in the position I'm in, I may have a helpful tip. I recently started over with a new character, and I had to go to a Preferred server because everything else was locked. I have three pieces of experience-boosting gear, and I've been getting the Preferred Server experience bonus, too. This has resulted in me being well over-leveled the whole time, with minimal grinding.
    This brings me to where I am now, a level 82 Dancer at the very beginning of the level 70+ Shadowbringers expansion.
    That's eight levels from the level cap (currently 90), with twenty levels of content to go. Even with no experience bonuses active anymore, I'm pretty sure I'll hit the level cap on Dancer long before I'm done with Endwalker. The MSQ is a great source of experience, and I don't want to waste any of it, so my plan is to level two jobs through Shadowbringers and Endwalker.
    I'm currently grinding roulettes to level Red Mage, which I mained on my previous character, to level 71. I plan to use Red Mage for dungeons, and Dancer for solo quests. I feel like I'm better at playing Red Mage, so I'll be better off using that job for dungeons now that I'm at the level where people sort of start expecting you to know how to play.
    And I'll be better off using Dancer for solo quests because I have that job so overleveled right now. It's really nice to be able to run straight to a quest objective without having to fight everything along the way. Also, continuing to level Dancer means I'll keep getting that Armory Bonus on Red Mage. And, I can buy level 80+ Dancer gear from the Market Board, leaving me free to use my quest rewards and tomestones for Red Mage gear.
    That last point is something I'm working toward gradually, because I don't want to spend a lot of gil in the process. I've managed to get four pieces of HQ level 82 Dancer gear for prices in the range of 5k-10k each, giving me an average iLevel of 442 as a Dancer. This is already better than you need to finish Shadowbringers.
    So, yeah, my advice if you're in the position I'm in is to think about leveling two jobs through Shadowbringers and Endwalker so you don't waste a lot of MSQ experience.

    • @DyingLegacy
      @DyingLegacy  Год назад +1

      That's essentially how did my samurai when I started, hit lvl 90 half way through stormblood, because I'd do the odd few roulettes, so I switched to gunbreaker to dual level. And he hit 90 pretty quick. MSQ gives fantastic experience when leveling, even without xp boosting gear

    • @biffwellington6144
      @biffwellington6144 Год назад +1

      @@DyingLegacy It is great experience! And it'd be a real waste of all that experience to hit level 90 in Shadowbringers and then stick with that same job all the way through Endwalker.
      If I end up hitting level 90 on both Dancer and Red Mage before I'm done with Endwalker, I'll have to put some thought into leveling another job just to keep that experience from going to waste.
      When I had to do a dungeon in the underwater zone (either for the MSQ or for an aether current; I forget which), I ended up getting a bikini top for Lancer and Reaper. So, I'll probably give one of those jobs a try if that scenario occurs.

    • @DyingLegacy
      @DyingLegacy  Год назад +1

      @@biffwellington6144 At least you're spoiled for choice! Chances are, you'll definitely hit 90 before endwalker, so at least you've planned ahead!

    Sadly the Deep dungeons have a very long wait time due to how few people do them.
    Doing the highest level X1 to X9 dungeon is better EXP even as DPS

  • @bellidrael7457
    @bellidrael7457 Год назад +10

    So basically, same as always. Do the highest level dungeon available to you (But not level cap dungeons), do daily roulettes.
    Every month or two a new video comes out just saying these same exact things. I think a lot of people are looking for some secret way to level faster, and hoping the guide will show something like. Like in WoW, things like "By the way if you do Alterac Valley you can get 3 levels per win" a few expansions back. But those kinds of things don't seem to happen in FF14. It's pretty much the exact same leveling method one expansion to the next, and that's probably because lower level things don't get changed very often.

    • @DyingLegacy
      @DyingLegacy  Год назад

      Lower things don't change much at all, which is good for ever green content, but I do wish myself they'd stream line it a bit more for new players, so they can catch up a bit quicker. I used to love alteric valley, leveled my deathknight from 50 to level cap in half a day back during lich king

    your guide its too confusing, you say alot of game terms I am not familiar with as a new player. Please try to keep your opinions clear, I needed to know if i could either quest or grind to level up but you keep going on and on on too much stuff man.

    • @DyingLegacy
      @DyingLegacy  9 месяцев назад +12

      If you need to ask if you should quest to level, or grind to level, then yes this would be confusing. As I said in the guide, a levelling guide is only useful for alt jobs. As the Main story quest is the best way to level the job you are currently using. So questing would be the best way to level. Seeing as you can only complete the main story once, until you unlock new game plus. Means you can only use this to level 1 or 2 jobs. Thew rest of your jobs are leveled by grinding. As side quests don't give much xp.
