Crappie Fishing in February (Ice Fishing)

- In this video I talk about the brand new Ice fishing rods from ACC Crappie Stix for 2022. I also find a school of crappie and bluegill willing to bite despite the sub-zero temperature. Bridge fishing during the winter time is a very productive place to catch many species including crappie, bluegill, perch, and walleye. I used a small plastic from Eurotackle on a 1/32 oz. tungsten jig to put fish on the ice and into the frying pan.

Love the Rods, been using 2 all season, I have used them for panfish to Walleye without any issues!!!! Best bang for your buck out there.
Reckon you Yankees have some big dear but come Tennessee for crappies ,spent a month at Ft Mccoy and saw several dear that looked like cow's but that was in the 80's

Davis I have been following your tips and have caught many nice crappies during open ice, but this hard water stuff is killing me. Lol I cut about 50 holes today on a 70 acre lake dropped my old aqua vu scout down each hole and never saw a fish. Where the heck have they all gone. Lol

Living up north and having heartier winters than mine, I imagine you have a higher tolerance to the cold than I. I'm a real wuss when it comes to being cold so my tolerance isn't shit anyways, just as a side note. What conditions prompt you to break out the ol' ice house?
Typically if there isn't any wind, I won't need the house until below zero temps. If there is wind stronger than 5mph I put the house up.

I like this new reel a lot. The older version I wasn't a fan of, but the new reel trigger is in a better placement making it easier to release the jig.
