Thanks for these comparisons. You and others are helping me weed out these inaccurate meters before I buy.

Who said it was accurate to 1 ma? The specs clearly state -DC current: 6A/60A/100A 0.001A/0.01A/0.1A ±(3.0%+5counts). 2nd you have to have the wire in the center of the meter jaws, not on the side like you have. Third you have to let the meter warm up a minute and understand its going to take a couple of seconds ( due to stated low sample rate) to get a good read. You have to zero the meter before every reading and the best way to do this is to place the meter jaw directly on the wire read and once its zeroed place it immediately inside the meter jaws otherwise whatever magnetic field around the wire will offset the zeroing and affect the reading. The wire placement is critical and it needs to be in between the two arrows on the meter jaw and at a 90 degree angle from the jaws.I bought this meter and made the same mistakes this reviewer made and was about to return it but I read the user comments and learned how to use the meter. So it took a little mindfulness when using but yes the meter pretty much preforms within the given specs . Would i use it for 4-20 mA...no but it wasnt made or intended for that purpose . I think if the jaws were the same size as the fluke you would have a much closer outcome between the two meters. If you are going to compare a $700 meter to a $50 meter , at least know how the meter is supposed to be used, and have a realistic expectation of what it is you are getting for your money. I kept mine and yes I use it in an industrial setting...If you dont zero it out properly every time no you wont be happy with it.

Something I'd like to add to your comment is; When measuring DC current (oxymoron), really should be on the ground coming from the power source.
I find it interesting the fluke clamp is reading higher than the fluke probes. Anyone paying $50 isn't going to expect dead on and comparing to a $700 is far fetched. Now lets see a $200 version comparing that to a fluke. A fluke is expensive because they can, because when you need a certification paper, you are at their mercy!

      I can maybe
      1. carve some wood + sponge adapters to make the jaws guide the wire to the center of the jaws.
      2. Wind the wire 10 times round the jaws so that the meter will be reading 10 times the mA and then I can divide the reading by 10 to get the actual mA reading.

A very good test proving that budget clamp multi meter as I was considering purchasing this. I already have a set of testers & thought the spec on the budget meter seems good & that I would have to bring different equipment for the different voltages & current that I would need to measure. Thanks again, you saved me £50.00 👍🏿
