In 2019, we partnered with powerhouse metal guitarist Wes Hauch to craft the Custom Shop Jupiter 7-String Rails bridge humbucker. After receiving overwhelming praise from extended range players and countless requests over the last year, we’ve developed this brutal pickup in a 6-string version and created a perfectly calibrated neck pickup to accompany the bridge as well.
To facilitate the articulate and aggressive tones he’s known for, Wes requested a passive rails humbucker set with searing output and maximum clarity and balance. Built with dual stainless-steel rail poles, a ceramic magnet and a finely tuned high output wind developed closely with Wes, the result is the Jupiter Humbucker Set-a 6-string pickup pair that delivers aggressive mid-range attack, evenly balanced string response, and focused clarity. It won’t make you play like Wes, but it will help you cop his tone.

Q) What is the benefit of having raised blade rails as opposed to regular blades that are lower?
typically higher pole pieces allow more highs to be picked up without picking up so much low end. its a trick you can do with any pick up with adjustable pole pieces. having the rails stick up a little higher, likely makes the lows and highs balanced as they intended.

Kyle I believe the 6 string set version does not come with the additional 500k pot, that is exclusive to the Jupter 7 to my knowledge.

good morning, exist the jupiter humbucker 7 strings set? bridge+neck? I can’t find in the seymour duncan web site.
alternatively, together with the jupiter at the bridge which other pick up would be more balanced to combine at the neck?

theres no juptier 7 neck, but in a demo wes demos it with the sentient 7 neck from seymour

I’ll admit I’ve been AWOL... the last time I saw Wes, he was playing an 8 string with Keith Merrow and his ponytail was a quarter inch long.
it doing certain niaaah nasal frequencies that I`m not fond of at all, and got single coil alike note attack which is not a good thing imho into humbucker. It looks classy thou.

hey Mr Wes. I just ordered a Jupiter 6 off of Amazon and you said yourself that every Jupiter 6 pickup came with a pot. I also heard that from another store selling them. mine didn't and im extremely pissed off. I'm disabled and it was a big jump for me to invest 140 bucks in a pickup cuz I got to make every penny count. WTF is going on here???
