About Oliver, the most likely reason they stated his death was a homicide was because the stab marks were visible on his bones and that there was no smoke in his lungs as he was already dead before the fire started. They only way his death could have stayed as caused by the fire, if he was basically burned to ashes.
I'm so glad Jake told Lexy what he told her about being a bad person. I thought he was going to continue to let her talk down to him like it's his fault. Now I wonder if Chucky will try to take Jake down now.
Which begs the question....wtf did Chucky want with Jake in the first place. At least with Eddie, he had someone who was as interested in the same crap as him, Jake not so much. He even said it himself that he has bigger fish to fry so why waste time with Jake. I get it, we have to wait to find out but realistically what is he going to do. If he's planning on shipping Chucky dolls worldwide or something that beats the purpose of the anonymity the dolls bring because someone will start to notice eventually so he might as well just possess real humans. Is there another voodoo artifact in Hackensack that he needs multiple Chucky dolls to find? Is the soul splitting draining him so he needs to do a big sacrifice or mass culling to restore himself?....so many questions

The toddler could be a red herring to keep us wondering if it's another doll or the toddler that Junior saw. Child's Play 2 and Cult liked to keep us guessing.
It could be a herring to maybe someone will get pregnant and have a demonic baby and it could symbolise the demonic/Antichrist child Damien from the movies The Omen (1976) and Damien: Omen 2 (1978)
when Chucky was killing the detective, and even mentioning "can't stand to look at his face," it kinda clicked to me that he looks like a younger version of Mike Norris. yet another person Chucky failed to kill, as far as we know. so while Andy is his biggest target, i always wondered how Mike turned out after the first movie

I originally thought that the kid dressed like a good guy doll was actually the one that was running Around, and when Junior and Lexy saw him the thought they saw Chucky because of the anesthesia and paranoia respectively, but It could very well be another actual doll
I was thinking the same thing. it would be really neat if that was a purposeful misdirect to sway us from the idea of there actually being more than one doll in the town, though
Why not. She already had an idea, but that also helped them form a small relationship with one another. Jake might be Lexi's redemption, they're definitely gonna be friends.
I had a conversation with my mom about how horrible a person I would been if chucky would have showed up for me. Was 1995, lesbian in a small town at 15. Tormented by bullies and a few teachers. I would have had chucky kill lots of people.

ON GOD i was like well she cant say anything now bc she literally got to him when he was IN THE BACK OF A POLICE CAR so like he had no chance to actually kill the guy
Agreed. 100% said Eddie, if you rewatch and put subtitles on it even quotes it as “Eddie”. It’s almost like when your parent says your full first name except Eddie is as full of a name as it gets lol unless it’s Edward. So she had to draw out the name a little longer for that effect.
Agreed. I am sure this was the case. She certainly did say it weird. Weird enough that I think even the subtitles might have mistaken it. But honestly, what is the point of having him named 'Andy' Caputo? That is so random, I am more inclined to think the actress just said it awkwardly.
It reminded me of the honeymoon wedding motel in Bride of Chucky when the con artist couple steal Jesse’s wallet and the woman says to stitched up face Chucky that “you’ve got a face that only a mother could love”
Sure, let's gloss over the issue of how Lexi manages to somehow escape Chucky and be the only person from the house fire to not have any burns or smoke inhalation/breathing issues.
I was hoping she would've end up in a mental hospital when she tries to convince her parents and the police that it was Chucky who set the house on fire or maybe in a juvenile detention center for endangering her little sister
The fact that Lexi’s Dad is the Psychologist in Cult of Chucky that had his head smashed in his face reconstruction is great….. wonder why they have done this
The actor is Michael Therriault and in Cult of Chucky (2017) his character is called Dr. Foley and in the Chucky TV Series (2021) his character is called Nathan Cross.
I had captionings on while watching this episode and during Chucky's flashback scene with the kid, he said Andy Caputo. Im pretty sure Chucky's partner was Eddie Caputo in the first movie. Also, in the sneak peek for next week, Caroline gets another Good Guy doll named Tommy. Wasnt that also the name of the Good Guy doll in the second movie?
You're right about the tommy doll . Cause Chucky says " eat dirt tommy " ( then laughs maniacally.) But Chucky decommissioned tommy since he didn't want two good guy dolls . Cause then that would be obvious since Andy could get Chucky to come out .
It would be so effed up if Lexy tried to come onto Jake... imagine if that happens and Junior decides to put her six feet under joining Chucky's cult 🤣

I did think this! Seemed mad that he would just kill his own mum to help a complete stranger after he just saw his dad murdered… I know he’s insane and all, but with no context or understanding it seemed strange considering he looked to have had everything growing up. Maybe the murderer who walked away was his birth father and like you say, he was adopted. Perhaps there is nothing in it and he just killed his mum for the fun of it, who knows.

Revealing how he met Eddie Caputo was the highlight of this episode for me Ion a side note I think Syfy & USA should let you do the Chucky recaps instead of the guy they have on the app but yes I'm loving this show even the ugly doll Easter egg from Child's Play 1 next week should be explosive being Tuesday November 9th 2021 which means it will be the 33 year Anniversary Of Child's Play 1 & Charles Lee Ray death man I can't wait.... Don Mancini is clever for that #PiKaHsSo
I feel like Devon's mom will start to suspect Lexy for her partner's murder. This is because when she found Jake and Lexy locked in her partner's car and let them out, a little thing happened. Before they could run to look for Chucky, she pulled Jake away from Lexy to question him, and so Jake told Lexy to "go get him". Here he was referring to *_go get_* Chucky but Devon's mum might mistake his wording 'him' for her partner. So she might now start to suspect that Jake and Lexy are working together and that Lexy killed her partner to cover something up.... like Oliver's murder because remember, the cop guy found them at the crime scene, the burnt down house. Now, she doesn't know that bit of information yet but maybe she will question them about where her partner found them or overhear them telling it to Devon. This theory makes sense because to Devon's mum, it would explain why Jake and Lexy are hanging out together all of a sudden especially after what she did to Jake at the Halloween party and the fact that they never seemed to be friends before this. And it would give her an idea of why Jake's doll was at the house before Oliver's murder and the fire. Maybe she'll think that Jake *_was_* in fact in the house before the incident and that Lexy was a part of it. Like maybe Lexy burnt down the house to cover up Oliver's murder. Note: Jake was with Devon's mum when the partner was murdered. This is why she'll suspect Lexy and try to link it to Jake because she already suspects him of being a murderer. Also, Devon's mom might not think that the fact that her partner was murdered in Lexy's little sister's room was a coincidence. That and the fact that Lexy was left unaccounted for during that time period and also, where in the hospital would she be at the time other than close to her sister's room. Plus I don't think the nurses and doctors will have a solid motive. Also, kinda disappointed that Devon found out about Chucky so soon.
I swear I thought Lexy was gonna redeem herself this episode I'm just gonna say how wrong I was after this episode she still found a way to twist it around on Jake who honestly I was surprised didn't go off on her fully while in the house also the reaction they all had when given the middle finger was priceless
I think they're going to be part of a gang dedicated to dealing with Chucky dolls like the losers club or those kids from the Chucky reboot. IMO Lexy will sacrifice herself to save her sister....or maybe Caroline is the one to kill Lexy like Charles did his mom
"she still found a way to twist it around on jake" Yeah.... because it IS his fault...he gave her sister the doll that wants to kill her because Jake wanted him to
My favorite moment was actually the last scene. It was so nice seeing Chucky give the teen trip the finger. Once a killer reveals themselves to you, then you know you’re dead. He basically told those 3, “You’re next a**holes”.. lol. Awww loved it. Such a great episode. The writing was perfect 😋
@1:38 it is not an error. Even as a kid I knew Chucky was lying to Glen about killing being a family tradition as an excuse to get his son to murder. I wouldn't take that scene seriously especially given the writing of seed of Chucky.
The Peter Pan thing could also be an allusion to Child’s Play 2 when Chucky loses his hand and replaces it with a knife blade, much like how Captain Hook replaced his lost hand with a hook.
Best episode yet! There was that part that reminded me of Child's Play when the detective says, "Ugly doll." Same way the old lady says it in the elevator. I'm even willing to overlook the fact that a minor was being questioned and recorded without an adult present. lol Thanks for these recap videos! I always look forward to them. =)
The lady definitely said Eddie Caputo, at least that's what i heard but thank u for pointing that out. It's been ages since I saw the first film so I didn't get the connection when she said his name but I figured it was related to the series somehow. This show has really been a surprise hit and so fun to watch, very reminiscent of the first 3 movies. The writing has also been great! Thank you for these breakdowns, I haven't seen the later movies so it's great that you show the connections between the previous films and the show.
Personally I freaked out when it was revealed about the kid being Eddie but I didn't hear it being revealed that his name was Andy I swear I heard the lady calling him eddie lol
She is by far the most frustrating character im the show. Surely the legend of the good guy dolls must have spread around right. I'm sure Norris must have told someone. She already has a suspicion that Chucky is somehow connected to the murders so wouldn't it be cool if she knew about or actually face a Chucky doll beforehand somewhere....
@@kuhanblock9380 well, to be fair, as what Devon mentions when explaining things to Lexy, is that CP1 took place in Chicago, while this series is in Chucky's hometown of Hackensack. so i highly doubt that Evans even heard of a case taking place some states away nearly 30 years ago

This kill is the most interesting by far imo, its the only one where Jake is finally not able to be the suspect, Detective Evans was questioning Jake and saying how he didnt have an alibi for the party fire, but unknowingly gave him an alibi for this kill! He couldnt of killed the guy because he was being questioned the whole time the cop was inside the hospital, which i bet will cause Detective Evans even more confusion, cause irs hard to see any motive or even possible suspects for like killing that guy right next to Carolines hospital bed.

@@smearypigeon that would mean seed of chucky isn’t canon which would make glen/da not canon either , which was confirmed to be canon in episode 3 , and the movies weren’t bad imo , only flopped in theatre sales , and they said they redeemed themselves in curse of chucky , but it went batshit in cult , but I love all of them and the lore and the new things they’re coming up with , in my eyes all of the movies are good and this series is starting the fire back up
I thought about this today : Since we pretty much know there is more than one Chucky doll in town in the series, probably that Chucky wasn't lying when he said to Jake that HE had not killed the housekeeper, because HE wasn't the one Chucky doll who done it, that it was another one of them.
AND ALSO, I rethought about the first song that played at the beginning of the first episode : "Copycat" by Billie Eilish 😉 Probably a hint on the series about the fact that there's several "copies" of Chucky in action 😜
Can't wait to see the next episodes!

Maybe she is already Chucky? Lol j/k.
I am curious though because she was in the room where it started and comes out not hurt like others who were on the lower floor??
Yeah I had this question also. I knew she survived the fire because we've seen footage of her in the hospital in the promos and stuff. So when last episode ended with her and Chucky surrounded by fire... I was sure there was no way out for her

when Chucky was killing the detective, and even mentioning "can't stand to look at his face," it kinda clicked to me that he looks like a younger version of Mike Norris. yet another person Chucky failed to kill, as far as we know. so while Andy is his biggest target, i always wondered how Mike turned out after the first movie
I thought it was implied in the end of Curse that Mike and Karen got married. Could be wrong, tho

Ayyy that’s a good theory!!
I was thinking the same thing. it would be really neat if that was a purposeful misdirect to sway us from the idea of there actually being more than one doll in the town, though

I think the boys home women said "Eddie", just in a weird way: "Ed-die Caputo!"
Agreed. 100% said Eddie, if you rewatch and put subtitles on it even quotes it as “Eddie”. It’s almost like when your parent says your full first name except Eddie is as full of a name as it gets lol unless it’s Edward. So she had to draw out the name a little longer for that effect.
@@pittg09, I didn't see that, on mine it said Andy Caputo.
I thought she said Eddie too. I think he got it wrong.
Agreed. I am sure this was the case. She certainly did say it weird. Weird enough that I think even the subtitles might have mistaken it. But honestly, what is the point of having him named 'Andy' Caputo? That is so random, I am more inclined to think the actress just said it awkwardly.

I really love how to title cards are made up of the main “weapons”/theme of the episode.. I.E gardening tools, medial equipment

It reminded me of the honeymoon wedding motel in Bride of Chucky when the con artist couple steal Jesse’s wallet and the woman says to stitched up face Chucky that “you’ve got a face that only a mother could love”
Mmmmmm I can see that
Sure, let's gloss over the issue of how Lexi manages to somehow escape Chucky and be the only person from the house fire to not have any burns or smoke inhalation/breathing issues.
He wasn’t gonna stop his maniacal laughter to stop her.
I was hoping she would've end up in a mental hospital when she tries to convince her parents and the police that it was Chucky who set the house on fire or maybe in a juvenile detention center for endangering her little sister

Theory about the error regarding Chucky’s lineage: what if he was adopted and the parents he killed weren’t his real parents?
My guess Chucky was trying to convince Glenn that it’s ok to be a killer because his linage is.
I think it was a throwaway joke. Chucky is nuts after all
I did think this!
Perhaps there is nothing in it and he just killed his mum for the fun of it, who knows.
that’s what i was thinking
There's definitely more than one Chucky doll, they were seeing Chucky run across the hall when he was sitting next to the cop at the vending machine
I think it was the little child chasing his ball because in the credits it says red haired kid. But that is a pretty good suggestion

Don Mancini is clever for that #PiKaHsSo
They really understood the assignment and went for the A+++
I feel like Devon's mom will start to suspect Lexy for her partner's murder.
There's only 8 episodes, he was always gonna have to find out half way through. Literally.

The scenes with the parents arguing and jake blowing up at Lexy were so well done!
When Dectective Evans was pressing Jake, i feel like she was using police brutality to get jake to say he did it
She is by far the most frustrating character im the show. Surely the legend of the good guy dolls must have spread around right. I'm sure Norris must have told someone. She already has a suspicion that Chucky is somehow connected to the murders so wouldn't it be cool if she knew about or actually face a Chucky doll beforehand somewhere....
You clearly have no idea what police brutality is, as that involves violence against a suspect.
