Hummmmmm ? Interviewer is very naive. Gomer Pyle was in boot camp with Herb. Hill 86 was overrun in 1966 , two years before this guy ever was in the service -1968. It was Army held, not Marines. 10 brave Army troops were killed. 15 wounded. Some fact and a lot of fiction. Sorry. 50 caliber BRINY ? The sniper rifles I saw were Winchester M-70s or Remington M-40s. He served and was wounded but I would call BS on most of his story. There is so much of this that was in the movies, Sniper One, Two and Three for instance. Wait, what ? A dishonorable discharge ! I give up. Those medals are BS too ! Please check his DD214 !
