This guy knows and tell it like it was back then … I was born May 1947 … got drafted out of college … spent Dec 1967-Dec 1968 in Vietnam with the 1st Cavalry 11B/11C … I missed Dak To … walked Bong Son and experienced TET … flew over Hue up to Quang Tri and cut the NVA going out the back door of Hue… helped rescue the marines at Khe Shan … went into A Shau Valley with 155 men and 35 days later we came out with 105 ragamuffins… back to Quang Tri … down to Quan Loi down south to the Parrots Beak Cambodia… yeah I’d like to buy this guy a couple of beers 🍺🍺… yeah I was an RTO for 6 months … you never forget the sound of an AK47 crack crack crack …
I still wake up during the night in the jungle … we didn’t bury many of the VC and NVA … piss on them … damn this guys memory is like mine.

Why,why does this channel insist on using this J/A Allen to conduct these interviews?
These are important, but this J/A knows next to nothing about Vietnam or the service to know what to ask an when or when to just keep his mouth shut and let the guys tell their stories.
I'm either having a major case of deja vu or this channel had Toms exact interview at an earlier time.
