In the past the gays have always been the butt of the jokes, or they would end up alone or worse dead. Charlie telling Tori he feels it would be better if he didn't exist is the most utterly devastating scene in this series without doubt. Your reaction was pretty much the mirror image of mine! It's a scene I love and hate at the same time if that makes sense? The ending is just perfect. It's unashamedly joyful, something we don't really see much of in mainstream media depictions of queer identity even know. We can all agree Olivia Colman is everybody's ideal mum.

So true! Like the first LGBT movie that i've ever watched was Brokeback Mountain (saddest ending of all time), and i watched it with my family, having to hear some rude comments. If only ive had Heartstopper at that time :/

My fave part of this finale episode is when they’re standing on the beach and Charlie says he never thought this would happen to him and Nick says him too. Episode 8 was amazing! From the low point of Charlie saying it might be better if he didn't exist (clearly the saddess point of the show) to the high point of Nick telling Charlie that he was his favorite person and that he loved liking him. What a beautifully crafted and cast TV Show with an awesome soundrack! A true treasure that is TV's equivalent of the most comforting hug that can't help but make you smile. I must've seen at least 40 RUclipsrs do Heartstopper reaction videos. They run a wide gamut, but I've noticed a pattern: the reactors who routinely grab their chest at all of the emotional points are BY FAR the most genuine, insightful, and empathetic. The first scene with Tori was the hardest scene to watch and would have turned out differently if it was in a different series. We know Charlie is going to be OK because he has Nick. This becomes more apparent in the novels. This season covers the first two volumes -if you don't want spoilers don't read past those. I believe Alice has said they would like four seasons to cover all of the existing Nick and Charlie stories.
It's true this Fandom is amazing and filled with kind wonderful ppl. You can really feel the care and love that is around these characters and in this community. Thank you to all those who first supported the webtoon and then the graphic novels so that we an get a Netflix show. It's a joy to share in the Alice Osman universe.

I felt like it was Christmas when I saw that you had uploaded this review of the HS finale. I love your emotionality and empathy for the characters. I could anticipate how much the sad parts were going to hit you and then the joyous heights as so many good things happen in the last half. You MUST review the graphic novels. We all need your brand of contagious happiness for stories well-told, and well-acted. I think you should do each of the 4 novels, with comparisons between the show and books, and things you preferred or wished the alternate form had done. You will be intrigued about where the story goes in the Books 3 and 4 and in the 2 novellas, Last Winter and Nick and Charlie. The novel Solitaire has his sister, Tori as the main character. Be prepared that there are some heart-rending parts of the next parts of the story, but it is all beautiful.

Back in episode 5, Kit had his beautiful moment of acting, the scene of Nick in the park with Imogen, well now it was Joe Locke's turn, and his scene with his sister at 2:10 was heartbreaking to watch, but I loved how it showcased the acting of Joe. Yoooo... I was waiting for this video to come out. I'm so glad you could watch the other side of things because Ep7 was really hard to watch but by the finale, everything fell into place and it has been one of the most beautiful ending of a series. I'm very glad you enjoyed every second of the last episode. The fact of Nick finally embracing what he really is and his love for Charlie is one of the most awesome things of the season. And being able to come out to his mom would make his world much better. As you say, all parents must take notes so lots of suicides would be prevented. Hi Jay, I want to let you know that I've watched a lottttttts of reactions about that series in the last two weeks and I must say that you're someone special. I was supposed to watch only your reactions of the last episode as we are late in the evening where I live but like you said about Charlie and Nick at the beginning "Already through the first episode you have my heart, my entire heart". You're energetic, funny, sensitive and you're not afraid to really show all your emotions. Finally I've watched all your reactions for the height episodes. Congrats for that 'cause it was great!! I'm not surprised that you have over 59k subscribers including me now even if english isn't my first language :).
I would love to see what type of videos you would like to make about the graphic novels. Just review your favorite moments, compare them to the show, maybe, anything. I would just really like to hear your opinion on them. Also, I don't know how many spoilers you want to have for future seasons. The first season contains volumes 1 and 2, so you can read these two at least. And if you get past spoilers, there are also many novels that I'm sure you would enjoy reading. This Winter, Solitaire and Nick and Charlie all contain Nich and Charlie as characters. In Nick and Charlie, they are the main characters (obviously), Solitaire is Tori's story, and Nick and Charlie are only supportive characters there and This Winter is a Christmas story from the Tori's, Charlie's and little bit Oliver's (Charlie's younger brother) pov (with Nick as a big part of Charlie's story).
As hard as Episode 7 is to watch, the happiness of Episode 8 wouldn't be as satisfying without it. Charlie needed to see how much Nick was willing to fight for Charlie and their relationship. He heard from Tori that she needs him in her life, but he feels it from Nick.
I have seen your reactions to this beautiful story a few times and just admire the authentic reactions and feelings you put into your videos. Heartstopper has been just beautiful and so relatable. One of my realisations after watching a few times is that when Nick hugs Charlie in one of his super Nick hugs it is because Charlie is unsure and Nick comforts him to indicate everything is ok.

I watched the first season of the new Queer as Folk last night. Every character does everything to screw up every relationship they have. We have Heartstopper as an alternative.

Such an wholesome show, no issues with the changes made from the books to the screen they made sense. My only problem with the show is that the episodes weren't long enough haha. Have you read the books? If you're interested in them, you could get through them in a couple of hours. After volumes 1-4 theres a novella called Nick and Charlie. Looking forward to your next show reactions plus Doctor Who and Charmed. I felt like it was Christmas when I saw that you had uploaded this review of the HS finale. I love your emotionality and empathy for the characters. I could anticipate how much the sad parts were going to hit you and then the joyous heights as so many good things happen in the last half. You MUST review the graphic novels. We all need your brand of contagious happiness for stories well-told, and well-acted. I think you should do each of the 4 novels, with comparisons between the show and books, and things you preferred or wished the alternate form had done. You will be intrigued about where the story goes in the Books 3 and 4 and in the 2 novellas, Last Winter and Nick and Charlie. The novel Solitaire has his sister, Tori as the main character. Be prepared that there are some heart-rending parts of the next parts of the story, but it is all beautiful.

Back in episode 5, Kit had his beautiful moment of acting, the scene of Nick in the park with Imogen, well now it was Joe Locke's turn, and his scene with his sister at 2:10 was heartbreaking to watch, but I loved how it showcased the acting of Joe. Wow. You just wanted to hug Charlie here. How could the poor lad feel this way. Brilliant acting from Joe.

Yoooo... I was waiting for this video to come out. I'm so glad you could watch the other side of things because Ep7 was really hard to watch but by the finale, everything fell into place and it has been one of the most beautiful ending of a series. I'm very glad you enjoyed every second of the last episode. The fact of Nick finally embracing what he really is and his love for Charlie is one of the most awesome things of the season. And being able to come out to his mom would make his world much better. As you say, all parents must take notes so lots of suicides would be prevented. Thank you bro for being supportive and for being the voice of an ally for this LGBT community. I embrace you and I appreciate you man! Thank you, thank you. :)

Hi Jay, I want to let you know that I've watched a lottttttts of reactions about that series in the last two weeks and I must say that you're someone special. I was supposed to watch only your reactions of the last episode as we are late in the evening where I live but like you said about Charlie and Nick at the beginning "Already through the first episode you have my heart, my entire heart". You're energetic, funny, sensitive and you're not afraid to really show all your emotions. Finally I've watched all your reactions for the height episodes. Congrats for that 'cause it was great!! I'm not surprised that you have over 59k subscribers including me now even if english isn't my first language :).
I would love to see what type of videos you would like to make about the graphic novels. Just review your favorite moments, compare them to the show, maybe, anything. I would just really like to hear your opinion on them. Also, I don't know how many spoilers you want to have for future seasons. The first season contains volumes 1 and 2, so you can read these two at least. And if you get past spoilers, there are also many novels that I'm sure you would enjoy reading. This Winter, Solitaire and Nick and Charlie all contain Nich and Charlie as characters. In Nick and Charlie, they are the main characters (obviously), Solitaire is Tori's story, and Nick and Charlie are only supportive characters there and This Winter is a Christmas story from the Tori's, Charlie's and little bit Oliver's (Charlie's younger brother) pov (with Nick as a big part of Charlie's story).
As hard as Episode 7 is to watch, the happiness of Episode 8 wouldn't be as satisfying without it. Charlie needed to see how much Nick was willing to fight for Charlie and their relationship. He heard from Tori that she needs him in her life, but he feels it from Nick.
That's it, I'm gonna die alone in a empty house, I just have to accept it

I have seen your reactions to this beautiful story a few times and just admire the authentic reactions and feelings you put into your videos. Heartstopper has been just beautiful and so relatable. One of my realisations after watching a few times is that when Nick hugs Charlie in one of his super Nick hugs it is because Charlie is unsure and Nick comforts him to indicate everything is ok.

kit and joe who played nick and charlie is a very good acters they have a speical bond between them and they got very strong friendship and there love for each other are so real their passion is so beautiful and they got very strong friendship i love them so much they support each other and beening there for each other its so magic and lovely to watch and there chemistry is strong and they ment to be together and every time when they see each other u can see the glow in there eyes and they so happy to see each other and is so beautiful and every thing is so well done.every time i watch the series i love it the last episode when nick came out to his mum i had trears running down my face and every episosdes are perfect and beauitful and lovely to watch and i will never get sick of it because i love so much.

Such an wholesome show, no issues with the changes made from the books to the screen they made sense. My only problem with the show is that the episodes weren't long enough haha.
Have you read the books? If you're interested in them, you could get through them in a couple of hours. After volumes 1-4 theres a novella called Nick and Charlie.
