We fly out from the UK to see this, what an amazing 'real venue' and everyone down the front, you were all just amazing. Best gig in years. Long time i hope VH go far.
This concert only had about 60-70 people in attendance. It was ages 21+ only, so that cut out most of the university-age audiences. The next night in Philly had over 100 people. Still nothing for such a badass band, but hey-- they sold no records in the US and had zero promotion-- this is all based on word of mouth. I feel lucky to have seen a band this good in such a small venue.
I'd honestly say they were AT LEAST 200 people at that NY venue. 60 persons, that's less than 8 x 8 rows of people man, that bar was packed. Awesome concert, I can't wait for them to come back to the States.
I think you're right-- it was maybe a couple hundred people. It was a small venue though, and it wasn't like there was a line to get in. I'd been to shows way more packed at Maxwell's back in the day.
The music industry is not a meritocracy- in this life we can just be grateful they exist and we get to enjoy them even though they haven’t reached the fame of those who play the game
I’ve read they’ve been influenced by the Pixies which I could tell from the riffs, the structure etc... But I just realised, watching this vid, that the singer fxxxing sounds like Franck Black in live!!
