- As August lawn care for Bermuda grass continues you may want to consider resetting your lawn height of cut. Meaning should you or should you not scalp your lawn down in the heat of summer. This is totally a decision you will want to make on your own all depending on your personal preference. If your trying you maintain your lawn in August when a low cut height and having not sprayed any PGR, then now may be your opportunity.
However if your already cut 3 plus times per week and on a PGR routine then this phase is not for you. If you decide to scalp your lawn down for the back end of the growing season simply to control height then I would recommend doing it in phases so you not starting at a brown lawn as the Bermuda a grass regrows at a lower height. Again, personal preference.

Do you recommend Corona or Modelo for your after mow beverage? 😜
Depends on if my father is over for the weekend cuts but my go to is Corona or craft.
Just ordered FourPlay (a gallon, and also the quart one with the hose end) i only want to do my front lawn which measures around 540 sqft.. if i am using the quart hose end product, and connect it to the water hose... for how long do i use the fourplay? Maybe im confused.
This isbthe first time I will be applying or using any product to help my grass and it's intimidating but I want to gift my husband a nice lawn. Lol
Howdy there and great question and GREAT GIFT!! So the quart hose end bottle is rated for 5,000 sqft. 5,000sqft divided by your 540sqft gives you 9.25 applications. So that one bottle will last you 9 applications +/-. So you would take that 32oz bottle and divide by 9 applications which gives you 3.5oz per application. So to determine what 3.5 oz is in that pre mixed bottle I would suggest taking a ruler alongside the bottle and mark a line that equals 9 parts as it would be difficult to measure 3.5oz that sprays out. I will add that anything coming out of a hose-end spray typically comes out fast so be mindful of your walking speed. But I’m the end this product is safe for the lawn and zero risk of damaging. Make sure to water your lawn first and after spraying.
