This is really resonating with me. I don't know much about him but I'm in therapy at the moment and I had a eye opening session recently where we talked about this concept of "fear of success". I used to say it about artists around me. But my therapist made me realise what it is. A fear of the unknown. A fear of what we're not used to, even if what we're used to and comfortable with is failure.
yeah, I think many can relate to this too. I know people who have literally gone off the face off the earth because they couldn't handle success, not that they had it, but just that the option was a possibility, but then when we finally linked again 20 years later, they moan about no one cared when it was them who took themselves out of the equation. I know you won't be one of those guys, but those guys exist. I don't know whether to laugh, cry, give them a bollocking about not blaming the world for their fuck ups and bad decision making or just have a salad sandwich and mind my own.... Failure is not an option for the driven!!
@@0521Official 100%! He has a big part in me realising it's ok to just write about what I know, as totally uncool as that may make me 😂 Great interview!
@@0521Official Absolutely! Long live Atmosphere!! You should see about speaking to Sage Francis some time too...P.O.S could be interesting too, such a talented guy who's gone AWOL after some stuff came out about his treatment of women :/

Thanks for watching. Doing this interview took me back to re-listening to all their albums and watching videos, and what an amazing journey that was and is. I don't think I recognized how much I actually relate to Slug through his lyric, but was a gem for real !! R.I.P. Eyedea 🙏
@@ESKARAP Thanks bro, and yeah that's a sick album too. I need to go back and listen again cos it's been a while, but used to listen on my mp3 player when I used to go for long walks to chill back in the day
