Regarding ventilation if electric blower was not specified it will be more safety aspect.Depend upon the vessel it can be electric , hydro or pneumatic driven blower.
And stby person not to leave it's location unless until proper person relived for his any personal requirement and prior change of stby party near the enclosed space, all parties to be informed including Master.
