Also would like to know where the windscreen came from? Is that new or been on the bike for a long time? I'd like to get something like that when I buy the bike.
Hey Neal, I'm shopping for one now. Either the 900 or 1000. How do you like it after riding for a couple weeks? I need mine to be more quiet though so I wouldn't upgrade the exhaust.
Hey Neal, I finally bought one, but I have to get it shipped to Hawaii so I won't be seeing it for about a month. I'll post some videos after I get it.
It took over 2 months to get it, but I finally picked up my ZL1000 yesterday. I haven't been able to check it out very well yet because it's been raining and I haven't unloaded it from my van yet. I did attempt to start it but it was dead. Hopefully because the seller disconnected the battery as I asked them to. When I first grabbed it to move it, those handlebars felt uncomfortably narrow. Have you looked into aftermarket options for yours? I don't want them lower, but definitely want them wider.
Really good lookin bike from back in the day. The kinda bike that could last a lifetime, if well taken care of !
Love this! This era of motorcycles were really cool.
Currently looking for ZL900 great bikes
Sounds like a race car. Sweet!
Wow your bike looks great and those pipes sound sick!!
Thanks man I appreciate it.
That is a great looking bike!
I rode with two brothers, one had an 1987 ZL1000, the other had a 1990 VMax, and I had an 1983 V65. Three awesome bikes.
I have all three of those bikes in my garage right now, except I have an 85 v65 and a 2006 vmax and the 87 zl1000.
I miss my bike.
Sweet bike!
Beautiful Bike but I think I like the factory pipes.
I like the factory pipes to I just can't find a nice pair. But the Kerker pipes sound better.
Noice
Factory Pipes Please
Belleza

@@lovegun67 - Thanks for the link. Of course they say "doesn't ship to Hawaii". Geez.

I love it its very smooth and fast the handle bars might need to be a little wider. But you will love this bike.
@@lovegun67 - Yeah, I noticed that too. An inch wider on each side would be nice. There are 4 of them I'm looking at. We'll see what happens.

Do you have a hard time finding parts for it ?
It's not to bad finding parts. I would like to find the original Exhaust but they are really hard to find in good condition.
@@lovegun67 Hi Neal ! Thanks for your prompt response. Any issues with hydraulic clutch, friend had his go out on his Vmax.
No issues. The clutch is very smooth.
