Cheers mate. Yeah that’s basically the spot with the most potential that I’ve found. Just a bugger that it’s only that 50m stretch that looks any good so if you get there too late someone can already be in it and it’s also too shallow on low tide. Hopefully get one out of there though 🤞🏼
@@anglinguntangled Well beach structure always changes, so im sure more of itll eventually be good. Do you know if any jewfish have been caught there before? You might just have to go there at stupid oclock so that no one else is around haha.
Yeah that’s one spot that they’ve been caught before but there isn’t really any dedicated fishos chasing them so no idea how regularly they are around. I’m just finishing off a little beach cart project so I can take gear and liveys over and I’ll start fishing it pretty regularly I reckon
Cheers mate! I’ve just moved back to the sapphire/far south coast of NSW (6 hours south of Sydney) but all of my previous videos have been shot around Newcastle
@@anglinguntangled Thanks Mate, as I live just south of sydney and find it hard to get a good beach that I can chase salmon and tailor with lures. Going up to Kempsey towards the end of Nov so keen to try out your advice up there for some good sized tailor off the beach / rocks Look forward to your next vid Cheers, Lee
Cheers mate! Is going to be a great thing for future vids and projects I have coming up and you definitely should, they’re very knowledgeable and friendly guys. Yep bring on the heat!
Love the videos mate! Keep it up! Beach surf fishing is the best I reckon. Landed a couple of monster sambos off of the south coast of WA, biggest this year going 86cm!
Cheers mate! Bloody oath that’s a moose! We do get a lot larger than the ones in the video over here but seems you guys consistently have the bigger models
i have a big beach near me that looks quite similar in terms of gutters and whatnot but the swell is often pretty rough. current all over the place and waves can get pretty high. was wondering if you think salmon would still hold in rougher water to still be caught? cheers for the vid :D
Big swell doesn’t necessarily keep fish away but depends where you are for the salmon to be around and that there’s still calm enough areas to allow them to access gutters and move around. If it’s really heavy throwing waves for long stretches they might be out off being around. Best bet is to just give it a go and see if you get results 👍🏼
Yeah everything’s a bit micro at the moment. Have got the odd decent salmon but have cast at schools of them and they have spawning more on their mind than eating right now
never caught an aussie salmon but heard they arent good eating. what can they be used for ie, strip bait, live bait or whats the best way to bleed and eat them? cheers
Yeah they aren’t my cup of tea eating wise. They are a great fight especially at larger sizes and do make a good bait if salted brined but tend to go too soft if just frozen. They also smoke up not bad if you’re into that. If you are going to eat them definitely make sure to brain spike them and bleed them immediately then put them on ice and eat fresh after cutting out any dark red meat. The smaller ones are reportedly the go for eating
Cheers mate! Yeah looking forward to seeing how the fishing will differ down here and what things I’ve picked up will hold true. Would love to start scoring some south coast jewies 🤞🏼
Love your vids mate, reckon your channel is probably the most under-rated fishing channel on RUclips. Congrats on the sponsor👍
Thank you very much mate, makes the time and effort put into the channel worth it
Cool video, that water looks pretty good, seems like it has some potential for jewfish as well.

Great Vid
Could I ask where do you primarily fish north or south coast / close to Sydney?

Hey mate, when replacing the trebles on metals, what hook style and size do you use?
Hey mate, depends on the size of the lure but for the smaller ones I was using around a size 1 single hook fits the bill 👍🏼

Was there in the same area on Sunday only caught a small tailor, beautiful area down there

Make fish cakes out of them is the go
Make great eating, smoked or raw
Just gotta bleed em straight away

Epic man! I'm from Ulladulla, obviously not so far south but will still be sick to see some more coverage of fishing on the south coast

have you seen josh d fishing he is from ulladulla
Yeah I have, really like his videos. Knew he was down this way just wasn’t sure where
we're is location n surburb postcode pls
That spot at Tathra is one of the hottest surf gutters going around on the South Coast. It pretty much always has fish in it.
Yep, pretty happy for it to be the home turf again 😁
booooo I liked you being local to me. haha.
Sorry man 😂. But got some cool things on the way for the channel
@@anglinguntangled looking forward to it. I can't catch nothing haha.
