Amanda es una diva
Verygood really beautiful here me. From Korea, kyu sang.
Excellent!. Please correct, a little typing mistake: HWV 287 instead of BWV.
George Mylonakis same difference
Acertada observación ! Es Händel ; no es Bach . Saludos.
👏👏👏👏👏💝💝
Anyone know when this performance took place?
November 15-2015
@ jinkcandoit. Seven seconds from the start of the video, in the lower right hand corner of the screen, the caption clearly says: Concert November 19 2015. Not sure why Jacinta contradicts this by saying November 15.
What has happened to that beautiful voice ? It’s become so operatic, and has lost the individual beauty….so much vibrato when it was unnecessary. 😢
Are you referring to Amanda Powell perhaps?
question? operatic? how does sounding "operatic" lose one's "individual beauty?" Please clarify. As a listener, I am listening to music that had no sound system, hence projection was required in the music, plus this singer is not singing a lullaby with a guiter plucking as an accompaniment. Not a singer, but a musician that is somewhat studied, I would not question a performer like her, to not know when or how much to use vibrato. Me? I use vibrato on sustained tones (if my gut can sustain the sound long enough!) Just enjoy the music by brilliant players, written at a time they didn't have lights, air conditioning, a middle class of mention, and men that loved war like we like our coffee on a cold January morning!
