As someone who has been in the "scene" from the very beginning of KOH on the Pirate4x4 forum, it's a bit surreal seeing the "rest" of the world start to take notice
Same feeling for me, but I don't go to KOH anymore as of 4 years ago because I feel it sucks now, and I definitely will never take my family there. Just too much mayhem and irresponsibility, and that's just in the camping areas lol.

I grew up in Lucerne Valley off roading and riding trials my whole life it's such a awsome sport and place I'm glad you gave the sport justice. Does anyone think this video was like dust to glory!? It reminded alot about that movie great movie if your a off road nut.

I prefer real journalism, especially considering this guy couldn't stop making sneak disses about this race, laced in every other description of it when talking about his interviewees.
I saw you and your camera crew walking up into the back door schit-show when that clown in the blue 4 runner almost ran all those people over. You guys did an about face and ran outta there with the quickness. LOL!

@AshleeVanceHelloWorld no, no, not all. Nothing like that. The look on your guys face and the timing of that dude's nonsense is what made it funny. It reminded us (wife and kids) the first time we saw the debauchery of the Hammers' night life and were like WTF?! We've been at it for almost 10 years now and still witness new and crazy shenanigans every time we go out. There is waaaaaay more to this event than the race. In fact, we don't even go for the race, it's not that entertaining compared to everything else there is to do. Hope you guys had fun and will go back next year. Maybe we'll see you there!

When I was 7, my pop took me & my older brother (Jon 10) to the Mint 400 in 1974, it was a wild time back then.. Not as wild a King of the Hammers, but wild enough.

As a racing purist, I hate seeing the 80k drunks. One will eventually kill somebody while being stupid . The victims family will sue everybody they can, especially the promoter. It will be the reason KoH ends. I’ve seen it happen more than once in my 50 plus years of off road racing….
Why don't organizers get it under control
They cant really. Its on BLM land, which is virtually impossible to "govern". It would also take a massive law enforcement presence, and they would shut it down before spending that kind of money.@@farzana6676
