That keyboard video is crazy! I need to get a few of those in the collection for sure! Great video sir, thank you for all the great work and finding all the awesome deals!!!
I use Valhalla plugins for delay and reverb, which are truly stellar. I use "Outer Space" which is a space echo plugin from Audiothing. And I also use Baby Audio Crystalline for a refined, ducking reverb on vocals. All of them are amazing.
The DSP56300 Plug-Ins need factory ROM files...These are NOT supplied because of license issues...discussion about ROM files are NOT permitted. The Plug -Ins are absolutely stunning!!!
In order to use the Virus TI software, you need to run a script in the Terminal on Mac, also an original ROM file or firmware needs to be in your VST3 folder - after that you just open the plugin and its amazing 🙌🏻
I got the Virus emulator working on PC. Copied the vst3 plugin folder into my VST folder, found a ROM 🏴☠, dropped it in my VST folder et voilà. Works great and sounds *incredible*
DiscoDSP Discovery and Discovery Pro are based on the Nord Lead 2, and they both have NL2 SysEx import/export, but they’re not precise emulations. (Discovery Pro has a WAV / SoundFont player built in, for example.) So, the DSP56300 version will be the first true NL2X emulation ever.
When I'm doing big, ambient compositions and productions, I either reach for Valhalla Supermassive or Solaris by Adam Zabo. Any other reverb that I need to make a track feel a little more live is the built-in IR reverb (ReaVerb) that comes with Reaper.
Hi Sanjay, I learned music production from your vids. Thank you so much for being so helpful & offering tons of instructional materials. Of course I’m a beginner and trying to learn more. I know you’ve tons of videos on plugins but I would appreciate if you can introduce at least top 10 plugins widely used for vocals by leading singers/songwriters/music producers in 2024. I’m mostly interested to see if there are differences between the vocal plugins used by pop singers than those used in country music and other genres. But my main focus will be pop. Thanks in advance. 🙏
Comet from Polyverse (reverb) for space. I'm surprised to not see it mentioned more often. All the Polyverse plugins are killer - would love to see you deep dive into them sometime, especially the new Filterverse - Also Filtron is a freebie you might want to feature sometime
Got all of the DSP56300 plugins on my mac and they worked first try. There's probably something very specific you're missing, but that's not something to discuss in public.
Thanks a lot, Sanjay! I have „Spaced Out“ already as well as tons of other reverb plugins, like Spaces II by EW, the latest one by Soundtoys, Crystalize by Baby Audio and many more!
Thank you for the freebies, Sanjay C. They are the best! Thank you for all the great deals you pointed out to us. Love your channel and the T-shirt you are wearing today!
QOTW: I prefer reverb to delay. I’ve been using Soundtoys SuperPlate a lot recently. But I have also used Valhalla Supermassive and, of course, Baby Audio’s Spaced Out. I still use Waves H-Delay whenever I want delay.
Best Delay or Best Reverb - Don’t know if it’s the best but the UA Galaxy plug-in mirrors a Roland Space Echo and offers both delay and reverb. The new Roland RE-202 is an actual pedal that does both well too and of course trying to copy the original Space Echo. I keep the Galaxy on the Apollo Console AUX 2 in one of the slots at all times, with other UA delays in other slots, and turn them on or off for flavor. If you’re not into the Universal Audio Apollo world, Arturia has a Galaxy/Space Echo available singly or as part of their FX package (great package up until version 2, but seems they’re just repacking combos of effects and calling them new products, ugh). If you’re looking for a bargain, look at Cherry Audio who has their own Space Echo type plugin for as little as $10 or $20 as I recall.
The Waldorf and Virus synths are technically not free and they state it’s illegal to use unless you own. However Waldorf just bought out a microwave emulation themselves.
I got the access virus t1 to work and it is IDENTICAL to a T1. I am using a PC, which is why I got it to work. Sorry it is not working on your Mac. It is amazing!
@@ElNabulsiDigitalSoundFactory holds the rights to distribute the EMU/Ensoniq soundware, and they have Kontakt and SoundFont versions of all the EMU modules and the Ensoniq ASR, etc.
I think I need to make a video about it. My hope is that it enhances what we do as musicians rather than take over. But there are some things to be worried about too. What do you think?
my POV --- YES, AI will likely replace some of the crappy music that is out there. NO, AI will not be able to replace fresh, creative music. how should you compete against AI? learn an instrument, learn to play it well, and, if you aspire to be a music creator/songwriter, learn your craft well and create something much fresher/different than what you heard on Tik Tok yesterday. And learn how to use the good parts of AI to 'make the music you love', as Sanjay always reminds us!
@@SanjayC AI won't replace truly creative works, but a lot of creative musicians pay their rent making library music and producing themes for stuff like podcasts and RUclips channels. AI will kill that market, those musicians won't be able to put in the time to hone their skills while working 'real' jobs, and will be pushed out of the industry.
