Is a Revolut a Pre-Paid Credit Card (although strictly speaking, that wouldn't be a "Credit" Card) or is it a Debit Card? Can I receive money for a website sale into Revolut and does the account handle "micro-payments" e.g. hundreds of transactions for say 99p?
Just got Revolut this week to use in Spain. Loaded it with 100gbp and used to pay shops etc in euros without issue and good exchange rate and no fees. So, what I'd like to ask is "why have euros on the card" and is there any advantage. The person who recommended it has euros and gbp as they are in Gibraltar and also often on mainland Spain.

Before you can use a Resolut account you FIRST have to put some money in it......from your normal bank account at your local bank........that's a daft solution.....carrying two bank account cards to get money out or on the go..
Great informative video looks like a great app. When sighing up do you have to do a KYC to use the app and card if using the standard account ? As with Epay they want all your personal details ID number which I don't have here in the UK I guess they want my NI number which I don't want to give out for security reasons to even use the card. I got a Epay card thinking I could use it I topped it up and now I can't use the funds unless I give them all my personal information it's activated but gets denied in shops. Is this revolute different ?

At this point I want to buy a computer. Is it possible to use the yens bought a year ago and not your euros converted to yens of the day of the purchase ? And how would I do that at the point of sale ? Do I have to activate anything ? Or is it not possible and the exchange function is on for fx trading purposes ? the most horrific thing about revolut is that if for whatever reason you cant log into your account or have any problems there is NO ONE TO TALK TO. a bloody nightmare!
Hi, I'm 18 and I honestly have no understanding of banking. I'm going on a gap year to France (and possibly Spain and Morocco too) in summer and my brother recommended Revolut and Monzo as banks to use. I have some money from a trust fund and a junior bond that I was going to use for it and I will be working along the way as well. Is it best to use both banks and split the money, use one of those banks, and if I use these online banks would i still need say a proper French bank account to have wages paid to me?
I personally would still have a personal bank account in France and get both Monzo and Revolut. Store both card separately, so you always have a back up. I would keep large funds in your bank and, just transfer across what you need.
Tried the link to get the free card , eventually no free card. Maybe it was applicable a year ago and not now. I contacted Revolut on this , but they had no idea what I'm talking about. So not sure if it was a bit skimmy or just that the promotion of the free card is not available any more. Feeling upset =\
