Yep very poor explanation, straight after 1 min in the video goes on talking about dark theme mode when one doesn't even know the basics, like its a Lithuanian account.....
How do people add subscriptions to pockets when usually they are direct debited from a card? Do you still have the DD setup for the card but when it takes the money it takes it from the pocket?
can i ask, if i have GBP (UK money) and i travel to Europ (Italy) will my card in my wallet use GPB or Euros? do i have to do anything to change how i use the card.
If you only have GBP deposited in your Revolut account and you make a purchase in Italy, then Revolut will exchange the GBP for EUR at their exchange rate (as long as you choose to pay in the local currency at the point of sale). If you have Revolut Standard then you'll pay no fees on the currency exchange up to £1,000, as long as it's during the week. In short, it doesn't mater what currency you have in you Revolut account, they'll automatically exchange it, you just need to have enough money to cover the cost of the transaction. Let me know if you have any further questions. ^Jonny
It looks like Revolut still didn’t add the option to deposit money in cash in a store by generating a code. This is quite essential for those who only have one digital bank and would like to cash money in.
This is a good overview for using Revolut IF YOU ARE SINGLE. The video does nothing to address JOINT ACCOUNTS and adding people to your account (such as a spouse). Can you kindly do a video on the use of Revolut for COUPLES and FAMILIES? Please?
Hi I am looking to replace my Square card reader as it’s 1.7% per transaction and the revolut says it charges only 0.8! Would you recommend it compared to the square for use? I only have two products on it for my services. Thank you
Yeah I'd recommend it, one of the things I've highlighted in my business review of Revolut was the fact that it's so much cheaper than Square. Definitly worth considering! ^Jonny
Yes, if these are foreign transactions you would pay the the fee. The easy workaround is to exchange in advance. Let's say the hotel is in Spain and their currency is euros, and yours is the British pound. Just exchange EUR to GBP on Friday before going to the hotel so you have the money deposited in your account and in the hotel's currency. The trick is to exchange in advance of the weekend. ^Jonny
Hey R S. Yes you can. You have two options, to have a virtual card or a physical card, both are linked to your account so you can use them however you please. If you make a payment with any of your cards then funds will be automatically deducted from your Revolut balance. ^Jonny
You may be better off depositing the funds from your accounts into your Revolut. That's often a better route because you don't want all your eggs in one basket. So deposit the USD and EUR that you need into your Revolut account, use a bank transfer because that will probably be the cheapest. ^Jonny
I got the Revolut card to use for my upcoming trip to Tunisia. I was under the impression I could use this card in Tunisia for purchases but the app does not have an option for currency exchange for TND. Does this mean that I cannot use the card in Tunisia or just that I cannot exchange currency prior to making purchases?
No you could still make purchases with your Revolut card in Tunisia, as long as VISA or Mastercard are accepted. There's more info here: help.revolut.com/help/card-payments-withdrawals/getting-started-with-card-payments/what-currencies-are-supported-for-spending/ Let me know if you have any further questions. ^Jonny
Hi, I’ve recently opened an account with Revolut, is there any chance you could do a video on how to exchange bitcoin into gbp, and then transfer into my uk bank account. Thanks Grant
Hey Grant, you just sell the BTC and then withdraw the GBP, it's pretty straight-forward and you can do it within the crypto section of the app. ^Jonny
👌👌👌👍.........still a little confused. I am in uk. want to spend in Tenerife in euro. Do I have to change from £ to euro before the trip or will card do it automatically?... pay for meals etc.etc. withdraw from cash machine??? same question.
Hey Kevin. Best thing to do would be to deposit GBP into your Revolut account, aim for roughly what you want to budget. Once that’s done, go ahead and exchange that money in the Revolut app for euros. Make sure you do that during the week and not the weekend. Once that’s done you can just use your Revolut card to spend money or withdraw cash in Tenerife just like a local would. Now in case you run out of euros you can absolutely deposit more pounds into your account and either exchange them or just spend them using your Revolut card. That’s fine too, I just recommend exchanging before hand to avoid any small weekend exchange fees and to set a holiday budget. Let me know if you have any more questions. ^Jonny
@@Monitodotcom Thanks for the super fast reply👌👌👌👍... will watch over and over again, to see how to convert. Old timer here! used to taking cash for hols however time to change. just ordered card paid in £200 for a starter. Only gone for a standard card. think its good enough for my two hols per year.👍
Oh for sure Standard will be just fine, you'll be able to change up to £1,000 to euros without paying any fees. Exchanging isn't too complicated, you'll just select your GBP account with the £200, click Exchange and then select EUR, after that you'll want to enter around €230 depending if you want to exchange the whole lot. Then click Review order and confirm. Simple. Let me know if you have any questions. ^Jonny
Great information but I followed the instructions and link provided but the trial is only for 1 month not 3 as you stated? Also travel insurance is not an option for premium?
From the 25th July travel insurance will be removed from Premium, that's for existing users. I think if you sign up now it's likely travel insurance won't be included at all. Can I ask which country you're based in? ^Jonny
That's weird, you should have a landing 'page for '3 months free' if you're based in the UK. At the top it should say "Sign up to get a 3 month Revolut Premium trial" - I also just double checked the link and the offer works. Very strange!
A question, im travelling to turkey, if i have my physical card or my virtual card on my phone, say i load up £300 on my csrd then use 200 of that to swop for turkish currency, will the card use my turkish currency automatcally on any transactions over there?
No really. Klarna is a buy now pay later product, Revolut is a financial app that has a ton of products (current account, investments, virtual cards) - although in some regions they do offer BNPL. ^Jonny
This was very extensive and concise. Thanks. You should disclose that you will get a referral reward if we click on your link. Transparency is the order of the day nowadays.

Well you have provided your name and account details, so your address would be the only information required to establish a fraudulent direct debit from your account.
Thanks for the info David. Honestly I use that account to review for videos and never have any amount of significance deposited for very long. I’ll make sure to keep my address hidden though. Cheers ^Jonny

So does the same card work for usd and mexican currency?
