    Ito yung napansin ko dati nung nagplaplano akong mag shift ng career. Pinagpipilian ko kung JS, Python or Java frameworks ang paglalaanan ko ng panahon. At that time nag aaral ako ng japanese sa TESDA and may nadiscover akong niche sa tech, which is Japanese bilingual dev. So nag Java na alng ako since feeling ko over saturated na ang JS, but i could be wrong. Hopefully makapagshift ako ng career this year

    Great content! Congrats! Young generations of programmers should be very grateful for having such powerful machines now. Way back then in the 90's we used to conserve a lot of memory just to write and run math.

Naapektuhan ako ng layoff eh kaya ngayon nag hahanap ako ng malilipatan hoping for new opportunity.

    As of now Im gearing myself into game development and hopefully eto na long term ko

      Thanks for sharing! Yep, very dangerous for early career starters to go for breadth instead of depth in knowledge. Pag may enough mastery na in a certain domain, dun na pwede magdagdag ng skills in other domains. Iba rin talaga pag strategic sa personal growth.

      I my self start with ASP for 2yrs then move on sa PHP (LAMP) for more than 17yrs, kasabay ng pagiging PHP dev dahan danan kong inaaral ang pagiging cloud engr, mobile developer (React-Native/Flutter), reactjs, vue.js on those yrs and for the last 2yrs nag aaral na ko going for AI/ML. ang pagiging jack of all trades sa dev for more than 20yrs needed din yan habang tumatanda ka pero make sure like sabi ni KuyaDev dapat may napatunayan ka na at na deploy sa mga company na pagwork mo na at least sarili mong gawa or pioneer sa develop ng program/app.

    I've been constantly looking for a new opportunity for months now and palaging initial interview lang, isang beses palang umabot ng technical interview and ang masama karamihan hindi man umaabot ng initial screening, rejected nan kaagad.
    This video struck me that there might be something wrong with my resume also kaya madalas wala pang initial interview rejected na kaagad.
    Kailangan ko din talagang ayusin resume ko siguro, nung sinasabi mo yung mga resume na "pareparehas" medyo tinamaan ako, haha

    based on experience kuya, di naman ganun kahirap to spin up a Node.js Express server. .Node.js operates on a single-threaded, event-driven architecture. This means it can handle many connections simultaneously without blocking the execution of other operation. can some video of your code.

    • @KuyaDevPodcast
      @KuyaDevPodcast  3 месяца назад

      Yes. And that makes Node unique.
      And I disagree that it isn't hard to spin up. Maybe for you, and good for you if that is the case. I struggled with it mightily when I was starting out. 😂 I'm sure others do too. And it took me a long while to fully absorb what single threaded async JS really means. 😁

    Dami pa kasing problema sa React hindi pa mature di tulad sa PHP na mature ung mga frameworks kaya yun mas ginagamit sa companies.

    • @KuyaDevPodcast
      @KuyaDevPodcast  3 месяца назад +4

      Not sure what constitutes "maturity" in your statement. 😁 But it definitely is production-ready. A lot of large global companies are using React at scale.

    • @yerenzter
      @yerenzter 3 месяца назад

      Kasi si ReactJS is just only an UI and front-end library ang scope niya tapos client side pa unlike kay PHP malawak kasi diyan kana mag dedevelop ng client-side page, API at business logic sa website at less ang dependencies sa third party libraries.

    • @iamawesomeheheh
      @iamawesomeheheh 3 месяца назад

      React nga ginagamit sa Singapore government web apps, tapos React Native for mobile apps. Flutter rin considered as matured na kase kasabay ng RN lumabas. I think PH tech industry needs to catch up with global trends.

    most devs now are half baked developers , real devs grind in leetcode , data structure and algorithm. they cant even do life coding exercise lol , umaasa sa chat gpt ...

    • @KuyaDevPodcast
      @KuyaDevPodcast  3 месяца назад +4

      I suck at leetcode. Our CTO sucks at leetcode. Everyone who doesn't do leetcode everyday will most likely be the same. 😂
      But being good at leetcode doesn't mean they're going to be good at doing the actual job. I wish it was that simple to gauge job readiness. 😂 When we interview, we seldom give leetcode problems because we don't see the value. We'd rather try to find other ways to measure critical thinking and problem solving skills. It's been hard though. Minsan magaling nga sa interview and solid magcode pero sobrang disappointing pag katrabaho mo na within a collaborative team dynamic. 🥲
