I mean, movies are made at least a year before generally and later the release date(s) are chosen based on when cinemas are most populated, which is the spots everyone wants
I was astonished so many of them had trouble with PotC! That soundtrack is so epic, I like to put it on as background music to make chores more exciting.
It's funny how they get all mixed confused between the John William scores. All iconic, all extraordinary pieces of music, and a very distinctive style. What a legend.
Sharon, Izzy, and Jaxon are some of my favorite Reactors but you guys really have the best reactors. I love this channel. I knew most of these from the first clue only because I grew up with most of them.
Harry Potter is my favorite comfort series! The first three movies are my favorite! Can we just appreciate John William's best songwriting skills for the Harry Potter movies and also the other music composers for Harry Potter movies?
That was fun, need a few more of these. Ironically enough the three scores I didn't recognise once the movie was revealed did know what year it was released. John Williams is the GOAT and has many memorable scores not featured in this video.
I knew Lion King right away! 1994 was the year I was diagnosed with a brain tumor. I watched that movie a million times in the hospital and knew the whole thing word for word.
Is shocked me how long it took them to answer some of these, like, pirates of the Caribbean, said it as soon as I hear it, all I pictured was Jack sparrow running 💀🤚🏻
@@youreaqt3730 fr, I did poorly on half of these. The other half I got right away because we had to play to play these in band/orchestra. Without that, I probably would have struggled.
0:55 Martine, watching the cogwheels trying to line up in your head absolutely made my day! And the light bulb moment @ 1:00 was amazing! Side note, you and Sharon together? Perfection! 😊
My favourite is Jurassic park. I watched it so many times with my parents when I was 7 or maybe younger. Now I'm 33 and my youngest son love dinosaurs. I would bring him to any attractions where they have realistic dinosaurs. He enjoyed it so much 😃
I really like this format of first playing the clip for the viewer. My family loves these quizzes, but a lot of times we can't guess before a React-or shouts out the answer. Thanks!
I am deeply offended that they didn't recognize Be Prepared! Everyone knows Disney villain songs slap! How do you not recognize that song Immediately?! 🦁 I am actually surprised that I knew the Godfather because I've never actually seen the movie. Just clips. But I must have heard the soundtrack at some point!
Okay Izzy, we are spiritual friends…🤣 You nailed the HP Year WITH confidence… wish I knew what house you are in!! & yes, lion king, I did that with my smallest dog 🐶🤣
I always thought it was funny during the Avengers when their all in a circle doing their cool poses with their awesome weapons, then Black Widow loads her gun.........even Hawkeye looked cooler posing with a bow and arrow
1:38 "How many times has New York been destroyed?" That's what I wonder about Metropolis: "It's a bird! It's a plane! It's Superman! EVACUATE THE CITY!! IT'S SUPERMAN!! SUPERMAN'S BEEN CALLED IN! RUUUUNN!!!"
Warm up- John Williams 1. Alan Silvestri 2. John Williams 3. Elton John 4. John Williams 5. Nino Rota 6. Envious Morricone 7. Klaus Badelt 8. Alan Silvestri 9. Hans Zimmer
How do you know someone only watched harry potter but never read the books? By saying Hagrid was the only one to ride a flying motorcycle ... it was Sirius' before he lend it to Hagrid....
I was getting so mad when they didn't instantly get Pirates of the Caribbean and Jurassic Park, how do you not know that soundtrack lol but great selection
I love how the guessed the same composer but wrong movies. Jurassic Park and Star Wars was both composed by great John Williams he also did the first 3 Harry Potter movies.
Round 6: the first clue can also come from Gladiator. Hans Zimmer recycled a short fill in from the the Track "Barbarian Horde" from Gladiator, to made the Pirates of the Carribean theme
fun fact about myself: first time i heard that "the good, the bad and the ugly" duel music was in a Timon and Puba lion king special where its about them, in one seen Timon and Teen Simba are in a snail eating contest and this song plays
Wouldn't these be the musical score, and not the soundtrack? If I'm not mistaken, the soundtrack would be music adapted from other sources, whereas the musical score was written for specifically for the that movie. But what do I know???
I didn’t guess most of the years correctly, but Back to the Future was the one where it was a literal the point of each movie; 1885, 1955, 1985 and 2015.
I can get Pirates of the Caribbean from the first 3 notes xD I've seen that movie tooo many times. Some good classics in here. I even got The Godfather even though I've never seen it, lol.
I love how Travis says " the biggest cliff hanger of 2010" then proceeds to guess 2009 lol
Haha yeah I was just going to comment saying the same.
I think it's the editing
Snap...my same reaction 😂 So Travis how ya feeling ? 😂😂😂
I mean, movies are made at least a year before generally and later the release date(s) are chosen based on when cinemas are most populated, which is the spots everyone wants
I was getting ready to say the same thing lol
I was astonished so many of them had trouble with PotC! That soundtrack is so epic, I like to put it on as background music to make chores more exciting.
Travis 💀
14:42: "The most famous cliffhanger of 2010."
15:07: "2009"
For Halloween y’all should do this but with horror movies 😊
the way I screamed "Lion King" at them when Be prepared started playing
It's funny how they get all mixed confused between the John William scores. All iconic, all extraordinary pieces of music, and a very distinctive style. What a legend.
John Williams had so many amazing movie scores that it's not surprising that they are mixing them up. Just shows the talent he had.
3:07 The reason Harry wasn't Sorted into Ravenclaw: Trying to catch one of the flying letters instead of picking up one from the ground.
I miss Robbie Coltrane & Alan Rickman absolute legends! 😢🥹
I love how many of these are from John Williams. He is a master of his craft
He’s one of my favorite composers growing up. One thing I didn’t know that his son is the lead singer in Toto.
THANK YOU for playing the first clue before the Reactors have a go at it. Made it much more fun to play at home.
Can we all take a moment to appreciate John Williams and how almost all of these movies were composed by him? An icon!
Yeah this was one of my favorite ones of the last several weeks. More please!
Most of these were the works of composer John Williams. 😊 Legendary.
Everyone swooned over Johnny Depp when it first came out while I was head over heels for Orlando Bloom 😅 growing up now I just want them both
That was fun, need a few more of these. Ironically enough the three scores I didn't recognise once the movie was revealed did know what year it was released.
John Williams is the GOAT and has many memorable scores not featured in this video.
Travis: The most famous cliffhanger of 2010.
Also Travis: 2009!
hahaha yes.... how did he miss that??! lol
and then they tied because of it.. xD
Not everyone will remember soundtracks right away. A lot of movies use the same music directors, and a lot of them re-use certain sounds
@@youreaqt3730 fr, I did poorly on half of these. The other half I got right away because we had to play to play these in band/orchestra. Without that, I probably would have struggled.
Brandel, you knew Lion King at 4:34! I saw it in your eyes. He who hesitates is lost and Izzy for the win! Lol
0:55 Martine, watching the cogwheels trying to line up in your head absolutely made my day! And the light bulb moment @ 1:00 was amazing! Side note, you and Sharon together? Perfection! 😊
😂😂💛
I would love to see another video like this, there are so many more amazing soundtracks that could be used ! Mortal Kombat, Robocop, even LOTR!!
2003 Pirates of the Caribbean is so iconic I can’t believe it’s gonna be 20 years old
Omg I’ll be looking out for Chris on the studio tour from now on! I’m at universal all the time!
14:42 The most famous cliffhanger of 2010
15:07 2009
I love everyone getting all of the John Williams scores mixed up
He has a very distinctive sound. He's one of those composers you can always pick which songs are his.
I got so frustrated because Be Prepared is one of my favorite Disney songs 😂😂 it's on my playlist
I'll make your comment undisputed, respected, saluted and seen for the wonder it is!
Lol I was screaming back to the future, and duh it's 1985 😊😊😊 love those movies
My favourite is Jurassic park. I watched it so many times with my parents when I was 7 or maybe younger. Now I'm 33 and my youngest son love dinosaurs. I would bring him to any attractions where they have realistic dinosaurs. He enjoyed it so much 😃
How did no one know Be Prepared?!
Movie soundtrack music is something I love to listen to. John Williams in particular is freaking incredible and he is a mad genius
I really like this format of first playing the clip for the viewer. My family loves these quizzes, but a lot of times we can't guess before a React-or shouts out the answer. Thanks!
Chris, you've never seen the Godfather? Dude, ya gotta! And don't believe Peter Griffin ... it does NOT insist upon itself! 😂😂😂
No transformers? No titanic? No jaws? ok we need more of these like yesterday... peace and love y'all.
14:41 the most famous cliff hangar of 2010 then his guess was 2009 🤧
My guess is they edited it out of sequence.
so good! please do more guess the movie by the soundtrack! It’s amazing how crucial music is to a movie…we can guess them without even seeing a screen
I appreciate getting to hear the music before they start guessing. Thanks!!
i was surprised that they didn't know the first clue to the pirates of the caribbean but i knew it!!
Izzy is my favorite but I was surprised she didn't get these almost instantly. Infact I'm shocked at how long it took everyone on some of these.
This is a great idea, there's so many epic movie soundtracks. You could do an entire episode on LOTR themes alone.
I am deeply offended that they didn't recognize Be Prepared! Everyone knows Disney villain songs slap! How do you not recognize that song Immediately?! 🦁
I am actually surprised that I knew the Godfather because I've never actually seen the movie. Just clips. But I must have heard the soundtrack at some point!
Ahhhh these theme songs are iconic yet love them just ahhh the scores are a big part of my Playlist due to they making the story up sooo well
For Pirates of the Black Pearl I was just imagining Jack arriving at Port Royal in his sinking boat 😅
Interesting that they guessed other Christopher Nolan movies for Inception. The power of Hans Zimmer.
Okay Izzy, we are spiritual friends…🤣
You nailed the HP Year WITH confidence… wish I knew what house you are in!!
& yes, lion king, I did that with my smallest dog 🐶🤣
I always thought it was funny during the Avengers when their all in a circle doing their cool poses with their awesome weapons, then Black Widow loads her gun.........even Hawkeye looked cooler posing with a bow and arrow
Travis: The most famous cliffhanger of 2010 14:37
Then when it’s time to guess the the year it was made he guesses 2009 😂😂😂 15:06 BRUH HOW! Hahaha
It’s definitely a testament to John Williams when people start guessing other film scores he’s written.
1:38 "How many times has New York been destroyed?" That's what I wonder about Metropolis: "It's a bird! It's a plane! It's Superman! EVACUATE THE CITY!! IT'S SUPERMAN!! SUPERMAN'S BEEN CALLED IN! RUUUUNN!!!"
Warm up- John Williams
1. Alan Silvestri
2. John Williams
3. Elton John
4. John Williams
5. Nino Rota
6. Envious Morricone
7. Klaus Badelt
8. Alan Silvestri
9. Hans Zimmer
"Nobody else rides a flying motorcycle"
But... he borrowed it from Sirius
15:08 How did he get that wrong?! He JUST said it! 😂😂😂
Can we PLEASE have more of these? That was fun trying to figure out if I knew them or not LOL
10:11
How do you know someone only watched harry potter but never read the books? By saying Hagrid was the only one to ride a flying motorcycle ... it was Sirius' before he lend it to Hagrid....
This video just makes me want to watch ALLLLL of these movies
The "Rat" in Zootopia is a shrew. :D
These are very popular films and almost everyone struggled. I'd like to see a more challenging selection with some more clued-in contestants.
I was shouting at my phone for ages!
Lion King! That was be prepared & no one got it!!
lion king, i got that on the first clue, it was the start of scars song, sooooo good, love that movie
I was getting so mad when they didn't instantly get Pirates of the Caribbean and Jurassic Park, how do you not know that soundtrack lol but great selection
Where is Lord Of The Rings? The Lord Of The Rings trilogy has one of the best film scores ever created.
How did they miss “Be Prepared “? That’s one of the best Disney villain song ever
14:42 he literally says 2010 and then guesses 2009😂
- "The most famous cliffhanger of 2010"
- "What year did this come out?"
- "2009"
I didn't catch that! That right there is a classic example of a brain fart! 😂😂😂
Please do more of this, there's more of iconic ost that not in list yet so maybe next time 😁
@8:19- A shrew, Mr. Big is a shrew . . . . .
When Travis said this about Inception "the most famous cliff hanger of 2010", but then answered 2009 when asked what year it came out 😅
How do you not know be prepared? Also, appropriate opening lyrics to that song.
Im sad no one got Be Prepared. It takes one note for me to call it. Haha
Same!
Facts!!
So true!!!!
U missed some of Hanz Zimer, like Interstellar.
And the M83 soundtrack for Oblivion.... amazing OST.
Aaaaall the John Williams. All hail the GOAT.
Can we please get a part 2
This was an awesome challenge
I’m sorry how did my man say “the biggest cliffhanger of 2010” then not get the year?? That was out of order right?
Ong I was on floor lol thinking the same damn thing 😂
we need part 2 of this
No one recognized "Be Prepared"? Really!?
How does he say "The biggest cliffhanger of 2010" then guess 2009 for the year the when Inception came out?????
Exactly????? AAAAAHAUEHUAHEUAHUEHUAHEAHEHAUHEUAJJKKKKKKK
I love how the guessed the same composer but wrong movies. Jurassic Park and Star Wars was both composed by great John Williams he also did the first 3 Harry Potter movies.
I was hoping for Gladiator's "Now, we are free" to show up so that I could ugly cry for no reason.
Ugh so good. Very similar to the song they play when Leonidas parts from Gorgo in 300. “Goodbye My Love” by Tyler Bates. Beautifully sad songs!
This one was fun. Do another one of these episodes! I'm a straight up movie buff 💪🏾 lol
15:07 How? He'd just said himself it was the most famous cliffhanger of 2010 and then proceeded to guess 2009.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 I was thinking the same thing. Thanks for going through the effort of putting the time stamp in 😂
Editing mistake?
Round 6: the first clue can also come from Gladiator. Hans Zimmer recycled a short fill in from the the Track "Barbarian Horde" from Gladiator, to made the Pirates of the Carribean theme
John Williams is the maaaaaaaaaan.
Moosebutter!
Fantastic list of movies there
I want more of these!!! With a ghibli version maybe?
fun fact about myself: first time i heard that "the good, the bad and the ugly" duel music was in a Timon and Puba lion king special where its about them, in one seen Timon and Teen Simba are in a snail eating contest and this song plays
It’s actually called lion king 1 1/2
Travis : biggest cliifffhanger of 2010!! 10 seconds later "what year did it come out?" Travis: 2009........
I really need Izzi and Raquel on the same team for research purposes
I'm surprised they didn't know the Lion King until they decide to switch tracks and play the theme song
When Hans Zimmer plays Time from Inception live (as the last piece of the concert), it's IMPOSSIBLE not to bawl.
the fact NONE of them figured out scars song made me sad lol.
I feel like a major film nerd for knowing like 90% of the musical scores played in this list haha 😆
Shouldn't this just be called "Which John Williams song is this?"
Exactly
Wouldn't these be the musical score, and not the soundtrack? If I'm not mistaken, the soundtrack would be music adapted from other sources, whereas the musical score was written for specifically for the that movie. But what do I know???
*literally any theme plays*
*thinks: "hmm I could think of another movie, or name one we've already done for the third time...."*
" JURASSIC PARK!!"
I didn’t guess most of the years correctly, but Back to the Future was the one where it was a literal the point of each movie;
1885, 1955, 1985 and 2015.
I love their reactions! I was dying like half of the time because they kept getting them wrong. I love move scores so I knew them all right away.
I can get Pirates of the Caribbean from the first 3 notes xD I've seen that movie tooo many times. Some good classics in here. I even got The Godfather even though I've never seen it, lol.
I saw that movie easily more than 50 times !!!!!
This is great concept! Please do this more.
Ik that it was the warm up but still I'm so bitter that you didn't put a clip from Jurassic Park 😅😅
You know you’re a villain song fan when you can recognize Be Prepared from the get go.
