Sorry to say this, but if your household budget is configured in a way that you are living paycheck to paycheck to the extent that you literally can't do without $200 for 2 more weeks until your next paycheck, you need to examine your finances. Not saying I'd be happy about a payroll mistake, but mistakes happen. She's going to get her money on the next paycheck, it's not the end of the world. Maybe Veronica can look at cutbacks with some of her discretionary spending, or maybe do some Uber and Lyft driving for a few extra bucks in cash until she saves up a bit of a reserve. I know it's tough in this economy, but it's worth giving that a try. Everyone should have several months worth of expenses saved up in a bank account just in case.
Bruh. How much someone has in their account is a moot point. When you earn the money, it is not unreasonable to expect to be paid. It's only $200, right? Why not just write out a check from discretionary funds and pay the employee? Surely they have enough in their emergency account to cover it!
@@ladywytch129 It depends on the company, their cash flow systems and payroll procedures. Some small mom 'n pop companies can probably just say, "oops, didn't mean to shortchange you there, bucky! Let me send a quick DM to our in-house payroll processor and have her print a new check for you to pick up this afternoon." Other companies might use payroll firms like ADP which have procedural or contractual limits in their agreements with employers which won't allow them to do special check runs. Each situation may be unique. Either way, yes...the employer's payroll department screwed up, but also you're living too close to the edge if you can't live without $200 for 14 days.

I had to contact wage and labor board over a job that kept shorting me my money and the problem with them adding it to the next paycheck (2 weeks later) was that my taxes would go way up and so much money would come out in taxes that I might as well have not worked those hours.
I’m usually able to agree with a lot of points of Veronica’s. Not on this tho. Theft is theft and two wrongs don’t make a right. Eye for an eye is Old Testament, these days we turn the other cheek and do what’s right. Stealing isn’t that
The supervisor should have caught the time clock issue prior to approving her timesheet. The issue could have been rectified before payroll was processed for the pay period.
Veronika would relocate her boss's office to the dirty, dusty, dank warehouse and move into her boss's office. Veronika would also bill the company for moving expenses and labor in addition to the $200. Veronika would be staying in that office until the boss coughed up the $200 or until payroll cuts that check. Two weeks in a cushy corner office for the inconvenience? Oh, yeah - that's Veronika's style!
This happened to me at a previous job. Didn't get my first paycheck for almost four weeks because they 1) didn't tell me i was supposed to be logging my hours on a system they never told me existed and 2) had me listed in the wrong office in another city for some unknown reason. I almost just walked out. Truthfully I should have. Their payroll department was an absolute joke. They forgot to take out my state taxes for an entire year that I worked there.

1:13- I wish I could do this because I'm sort of going through the same thing. Just a tad bit different, my job is cutting hours so my pay has been decreasing. 2:36- Smart. 3:45- I wish I can send this to my lead at my job. Because I wouldn't be able to say this, but it's how I feel and think since they cut hours. So technically they're stealing from me.
@summerrose8110 if your situation is anything like mine, they are cutting hrs because the work volume is down and otherwise the employer would be paying their employees to do nothing. Some departments have a minimum headcount in their contract, and the larger departments are getting offered voluntary time off, but management is also applying mandatory time off, even if they dress it up with another name.
Yes, Veronika would most likely be fired for this. That is the point. But, what many people, apparently, do not understand is that all of the carp people 'put up with' would be eliminated if everyone was like Veronika. So, in the meantime, keep your head down, run when they whistle, be forever thankful as the bills mount up and be 'a team player'. A peasant mentality has turned the USA from a shining beacon of hope into a ... ?
Unfortunately this won't fly anywhere. The intent to repay was communicated and acted upon within 24 hours. Yes it was slow, but honored. Stealing from someone and deeming it compensation on your terms for loss of wage or money is still stealing.
I know this is bull. An old job once messed up my paycheck. No harm no fowl because they cut me one ON SITE. I went home WITH MY CHECK THAT DAY. All cleared up, no excuses for jobs to not be able to do that
She can't do what she did. In the real world she would be fired for theft. Not a good luck. Better to go to the labor board for getting her money back or directly to HR first. They absolutely can and should cut you a manual check.
Please do not do what Veronica did in this story. Even though she was short on her paycheck, they knew about it and said they would correct it. Just because it isn’t corrected on her schedule does not mean she can just take stock from the company. That could get you fired and arrested and put in jail. Usually Veronica does the proper thing but not this time.
"it's okay for you as a corporation to steal my money but it's not okay to steal from you?" No, neither is okay. One person's unlawful action does not excuse yours. There are legal ways to pursue this matter, self-help is not the way and no judge would award you your wages if this went to court (which it could if reported since its theft) because of the doctrine of clean hands. In this case you would end up being found guilty for theft and you wouldn't get your 200 dollars.
So these videos are fun, but this is a really bad idea in real life. You can go to jail. Instead, contact the US Department of labor's wage and hour division, DOL.GOV/WHD. Your state likely has an equivalent agency to contact as well. I would give them the 24 hour warning, but don't tell them you're going to report until you have reported. You cannot legally be fired for making the report, and if you've got a report on record it's going to look really bad for them in court if they fire you for something else, and even if they will, DOL will give them special attention if they fire employees who report them. Compare that to telling the employer that you will report if they don't pay: they will fix your paycheck ASAP, but they can later fire you for any made up reason or no reason at all, and if it goes to court, there will be no report, so you won't have a government agency on your side with evidence that they are retaliating against you.
I'd give them 24 hours to give me my money and if they didn't then they could have a nice little conversation with the labor board.

Get BENT.
"Everyone should have several months worth of expenses saved up in a bank account just in case"
Yeah, you clearly have no idea what it's like working in the real world and probably haven't for many, many decades if you ever did.
No need to apologize. You got 2 broke folks Shemotional.😂
…V is my HERO!
Possibly?! You were going to “possibly” email me….
Stealing isn’t that
The company stole from her. They’re actually getting off easy by her taking it out in product.
EPIC VERONICA
Yep that's my company.
The supervisor should have caught the time clock issue prior to approving her timesheet. The issue could have been rectified before payroll was processed for the pay period.
Yeah. Companies play games. Any company messes with my pay is the day I leave.
You'd be fired, but you'd also have a claim for short payment.
This is the only animation channel endorsed by the real veronika. You can report and click "not recommend" on all the others. Just wanted to send this here and boost engagement since only they had the courtesy to contact the person behind thexoriginal content and cut a deal with her. Cheers everyone.
Normally this series covers clueless managers. Here the employee is clueless. And under arrest.
Never let them add to next paycheque, it messes up the tax rate and it’s never to your advantage.
Wow. Veronica, stealing would get you fired. Just report your job.
BING! 😂😂😂!
😂😂
1:13- I wish I could do this because I'm sort of going through the same thing. Just a tad bit different, my job is cutting hours so my pay has been decreasing.
2:36- Smart.
3:45- I wish I can send this to my lead at my job. Because I wouldn't be able to say this, but it's how I feel and think since they cut hours. So technically they're stealing from me.
If they're not paying you for time you didn't work, it's not stealing.
Unemployment check to make up for the time you're loosing. check into it if you're USA based.
@@julianrivas1224 No, I worked. But you don't know my situation so you can't assume that. Just for your information I do my part thank you very much.
@@terrymannbluemoonsoapco.1377 If it comes to that, I'll try, but hopefully I pray to God I won't have to do that. Just pray for me.
Maaaannn , maannn, maaann 😂. I wish I could be Veronika in my next life 😡. # I need to see a man about a horse 🐎 😅
Veronica says FAFO
Yes, Veronika would most likely be fired for this. That is the point. But, what many people, apparently, do not understand is that all of the carp people 'put up with' would be eliminated if everyone was like Veronika. So, in the meantime, keep your head down, run when they whistle, be forever thankful as the bills mount up and be 'a team player'.
A peasant mentality has turned the USA from a shining beacon of hope into a ... ?
😂😂😂
Unfortunately this won't fly anywhere. The intent to repay was communicated and acted upon within 24 hours. Yes it was slow, but honored. Stealing from someone and deeming it compensation on your terms for loss of wage or money is still stealing.
I know this is bull. An old job once messed up my paycheck. No harm no fowl because they cut me one ON SITE. I went home WITH MY CHECK THAT DAY. All cleared up, no excuses for jobs to not be able to do that
Some of yall are real pressed over a fictional scenario. Stay bent bootlickers.
Please don’t watch these right before you leave for work. Heh
Please tell me there is a real life Veronica here.. poleeaasssee
She can't do what she did. In the real world she would be fired for theft. Not a good luck. Better to go to the labor board for getting her money back or directly to HR first. They absolutely can and should cut you a manual check.
can't make out if Veronica is brilliant beyond my common sense or if she's dumb
Stealing is not okay, you can't respond like this to them ,,stealing" or delaying your paycheck
I’m out of pocket this week by $200. And As I’ve got payments that depended on that $200 to be in my account this week.
This is why we need a gajillion dollars an hour living minimum wage.
nah veronica you messed up that 200 you made back was intesest becuase you had to work extra to sell that shit on ebay and mail it out.
Audio is good. Models move way too much though.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏✌
Veronika needs to be fired. Screw her.
🔴🔴➡️ *Don't do this - so you don't have a legal record, arrest, fired from job" Call LABOR BOARD
This a
This is just another reason why every company should be Unionized.
Petty
While I get the sentiment, no one should follow this advice. This is bad advice and will land you in jail.
I love Veronica, but two wrongs don't make a right.
"it's okay for you as a corporation to steal my money but it's not okay to steal from you?"
No, neither is okay.
Stop depending on a company and other people for work.
Ahahahahahaa
