Yes, it’s considered the best Diss track of all time because he dissed a whole crew with 100% FACTS! Cube’s pen game was one of the most lethal back then. Honestly, I don’t think any other rapper had a run like him with his first 3-4 albums. Amerikkkas Most Wanted, the EP Kill At Will, Death Certificate, which is my favorite album of all time, The Predator, and then Lethal Injection.
That’s almost everyone’s reasoning why this is the best diss track of all time, that’s a great point too. Definitely need to check out more Ice Cube, he’s definitely a legendary MC.
Ice Cube wasn't talking about literally, No Vaseline is all double entendre but 100% facts about how Eazy-E and Jerry Heller were "fucking over" the group with "no vaseline". And it was that exact reason why Dr. Dre left NWA as well because of not getting paid what he was owed. So all the sexual references weren't at all literal, but metaphorical in how they were getting screwed over. This ultimately ENDED the group.
Nice distinction between figuratively and literally. Excellent work sir!
💚
I just want to make a nice comment and say that I love the fact that you do your research and you know what you're talkin about..... I'm kind of old and then I grew up listening to these albums when they came out so to see your perspective and your thoughtfulness is awesome, I think most younger dudes like you don't really even care about the history of rap
The best distrack in history...
The Yella Boy diss meant exactly what it meant. Imagine someone saying since you're on a specific team, it contributes to them losing.
The greatest diss track of all time
The good and bad faces of Hip Hop. And for you, it still is all knowledge gained. This is ultimate. You, educating and enlightening yourself. As much as some try to discredit the culture, this is our history.
Yo, I'm 47 y.o. and I'm not gonna refer to you as "lil bro or lil homie."
You get the message a lot more clear than some that are my age. You continue to learn as much as you can, continously. THAT is the realness. THAT is what we hold sacred.
Keep going, PRSPR. We got you. #therealness
That's what it's all about, gaining as much knowledge as possible in my opinion. Thank you very much my brotha, that really means a lot to me! Definitely will stay learning, thank you again for all the support you've been showing me and my channel 💯💯💯
So, to really get the full experience, you gotta start with the track “MESSAGE TO B.A. (INTERLUDE)” from the NWA album, EFIL4ZAGGIN. That’s where the “here’s what they think about you” started. Ice Cube is literally playing snippets of that track in the intro…what follows is his response. He bodied them…there were other songs in the feud but, this was the death blow…they never came as hard as this.
Definitely will check out that track, I knew they had a few exchanges in other songs that led up to this track but I didn’t check out the diss lines
The phrase "Here's what they think about you" is what they said in their diss to Cube
I love your reactions! Ok, Ok, Ok
That really means a lot, thank you very much!
Defo No1 Diss track IMO
Silence of the Lambs is a movie
I remember hearing that title but I never seen it before, thank you for letting me know it was a movie title
@@PRSPR check it out, dope movie!!!
he means an AK-47 ASUALT RIFLE
One of the best diss tracks. Hope you can listen and react to Jedi Mind Tricks- Razorblade Salvation
FIIIIRE song bro, you should check out another cube track, HOO BANGIN' by Westside Connection 🔥🔥 classic, the way WC get to c walkin on stage is too good, check it out my guy!
Will do fam! 💯
WC C walkin on the Up in Smoke tour was awesome
Thats the one I'm talkin about 🔥🔥🔥 too good
It's all figurative. The title is No Vaseline. And it was sexual. The sample came from LL Cool J. Til The Break Of Dawn. Where he went after Ice T., M.C. Hammer and Kool Moe Dee. Cube meant it the same way Cool J did.
Aka is a Russian assault rifle, used d in drive by. Michelle A is a R&B singer signed by Dre , who he eventually dated, and she had an affair with Sufe knight
I know you don't do that many female reactions but please check out Queen Bitch by Lil Kim top 5 hardest female songs out. Beat is 🔥
Got ya soon fam! I definitely need to react to some female MCs, you're right about that
Queen Latifah, MC lyte ,Da Brat n many more.
LOL he meant "fucking them" figuratively as in stealing their money.
That's what I initially thought then he started getting too descriptive and repeating it which left me confused lmao
@@PRSPR listen again. Cube always has reference of money after each gay diss.
Should watch Straight Outta Compton movie too.
Yea I definitely need to watch that movie
He literally meant they wore lipstick lol. That's why eazy put up that picture of dre in lipstick
That’s crazy, I thought he was reaching lol
There is a pic out there with Dre in makeup.
Check out Common’s “the bitch in you” where he disses Ice Cube
The phrase "Easy D is smellin' like MC Ren Shit" is referring to MC Ren writing Easy-E lyrics, after Ice Cube left NWA. Cube use to write for Easy-E.
I thought he said "Eazy's d*ck" that's why I reacted the way I did lol
He was referring to Eazy screwing MC Ren out of money.
WRONG! He's saying Easy E was screwing them out their money.
Bro check out Hit Em Up OG. They scrapped it because biggie stole the beat and made i believe "get money" remix with it because they heard he got the song somehow or heard the beat ahead of time. So pac redid the song with less people on it and added the famous ending.
You got the link fam because I don't want to react to the wrong one on accident
Well they did come for him first so sometimes it be like that 🥂
Lace isn't lace fronts. There was no such thing then. Lace is a material that sexy panties are made of. Them see through joints.
Ohhh thanks for clarifying that because the only lace I knew before were lace fronts
also, Pac "Hit Em Up" is, IMO, best diss track ever.
I definitely say the energy of that track is incomparable, you can feel the disrespect lol
👍👍👍👍👍👍
NWA dissed him on the 100 Miles and Runnin EP first.
Google 'World Class Wrecking Crew'.
They never responded to this track
Cube was such a beast. I don't care he had a ghostwriter, the tracks he put out after he left NWA up until 1997 were so hard. Lyrics and beats. He was KILLING IT! Yo peep the No Vaseline diss by Cypress Hill to Ice Cube! It is better.
Cube had a ghostwriter? I always thought Cube was the ghostwriter. Will do fam!
Cube did write all his own rhymes and for NWA…he never had a ghostwriter
@@twill1142 it's been a known fact since the early 00's. Look up "King Tee on artists who have ghostwritten for Ice Cube" On RUclips for example. Don't because mark for NWA. I love Cubes music and Dre's production, but it's not real.
Good diss song definitely not the best of all times..
I think people say it's the best of all time because he was going a four people
@@PRSPR do you think that song is as good as Ether or even Takeover??
I haven't listened to Takeover yet but Ether was something else, I personally put Ether above No Vaseline because Nas was vicious af with his shots. That's not to take away from No Vaseline tho, this diss was crazy too.
It is to me. Because he took on 4 people and he had more personal shots, because he really knew them, but it's all opinions.
@Monte Ellis That's a great point, he did know them personally being in a group with them so the shots were more personal
