  • This is a bit of a different approach to the content I make, and with any luck, it not only makes things a bit clearer but also makes the content look better and more entertaining. I have been working on my blender skills, and these illustrations are a great way to get angles that are understandable with the camera and provide some slowed-down images that can illustrate these ideas more clearly. I still have a long way to go, but the fantastic content on The Efficient Engineer, if you don't know this channel, check out this video:

not only is the content incredible, but it inspires me to create content that explains luthiery similarly. Let me know what you think.

The closer you get to the finish the more critical each step becomes. If the binding or edges are good, putting Clearwater on only exaggerates the imperfections.

@TwoCherriesIns I meant clear coat. But sometimes the phone picks its own words. Clear coats don't cover imperfections, they look worse.

What mill are you using for the initial CNC carve?

It's a single flute 11mm index mill, not my favorite tool, I have been experimenting with it here and there.

@@TwoCherriesIns I dunno, in your videos they way it carves edges is mesmerizing. I'd been wanting to try whatever that is in my shop, and now that I know what it is, it's time to check bitsbits. :)
