If this young lady is given to weeping, as I am, though my testimony is now 40 years old, I still can't speak about my moment of salvation without crying. This God of the universe is so invested in, and vested in, His creation, He has done all the heavy lifting for His children, and His daily command to me is simply "conform"! One tough word when I contemplate its depth of meaning. Welcome to the family of the Living God, Emily! I will see you at the Wedding Feast.
This is beautifu and I hope you don't take it the wrong way, I say this with all sincerity. I wouldn't use the word conform. I would use more of the words of our Jesus since they need no upgrading as they are so beautiful like sheepfold, walk with Him, come into the light, the way, the truth, heavenly, Freedom, etc.... Conform has always been used to represent the lost ways of our world.

*Jesus Is the Lord* It isn't the word I chose for myself, so you'll need to take it up with the God who saved me. I don't have to conform to anything but what I know God is leading me to do: conform. Maybe He began to use it for a simpleminded former atheist such as I was, someone still tilting toward marching to my own drummer, while making room for God in my new life. In short shrift, I discovered that wasn't what He wanted from me. He is the Leader, and the only way He drove it home to me was was through that one simple word.
No, conform isn't the right word. God has given us free will in order for us to choose on our own. We must choose. We choose God. We mustn't be compelled but must choose freely. We must continually choose God. That conversion is often ongoing, and often a lifelong endeavor.

Brother or sister if I may just inform you the word Trinity is a Catholic word and not spoken of God or Jesus or the prophets or even the disciples, they all said Godhead when referring to the Holy Spirit, God and Jesus. God blessing 🙏🤗

Thank you for your comment expounding on the use of Trinity. Interesting...I was not aware that it had any “proprietary” Catholic connotation. I simply use the term to convey my acknowledgment of the unified essence, shared divine attributes and equal worthiness for worship of the three persons of the Godhead, each of Whom I consider to be simultaneously distinct yet One and by whose grace I have been saved and blessed. P.s. the word Trinity was invented by tertullian who lived in Africa while it was under the Roman empire and he couldn't understand the scriptures because he wasn't given the Holy Spirit in which to do it. Much of what he wrote is inaccurate and hogwash.
Latin formulations that first appear in his work are "three persons, one substance" as the Latin "tres personae, una substantia" which is a lie. The truth of what Jesus spoke of about the mystery of the Godhead is not even close to tertullian's translation.

That sounds good, but the Bible says otherwise. Mosaic law had a strict religious hierarchy. The book of Acts shows the first ecumenical council to resolve spiritual issues. Jesus himself told the Apostles to "do this in memory of me", to go celebrate the Eucharist each Sunday (as He appeared to the Apostles on Sundays). A Christian faith is a religious faith. Why?

Sister, Luv u story! I came2 athiesm 4 decades after molestation in church at 8yrs. I blamed God-so silly. Play Beethoven bad-do u blame Beethoven? Anyway, when I was fed up I told God, "well,my way does not work. How about I try yours?". God said, OK, I can work with that. 1 year after I was 95% sure this Jesus was who he said he was after destroying everything I thought was truth. It was 4 years later before I submitted my life to Jesus. ( I know--I'm a little thick & prideful) I pray millions humble themselves b4 Christ from your story!

Yes I can understand your feelings, I was there, right where you are. I grew up Catholic, my ancestors were Sephardic Jews, from Spain and France. I didn't know the history of my ancestors. But one day Hashem blessed is He, called me back, by bringing me to the desert Sanctuary in the time of Moses. I didn't know anything about Judaism, the Bible or the history of the Jewish people. Hashem, blessed is He, showed me His Hebrew Name, which at the time I also didn't know anything about Hebrew, or the Hebrews. After this vision I started to research about my ancestry and all that comes with the Jewish people. That's when I returned to my roots. You were blessed to be in a Jewish home, to know your heritage and yet you rejected everything to become an idol worshipper. These are the ironies of this world and the life of each individual. You will probably, I hope, realize what the truth is one day and return to your roots, like I did. Appreciation for the Creative Force of the universe, which the Jewish call Hashem, is a blessing in disguise. It's up to you, you have been given a choice.

And to the Arabs, Yeshua is a living stream of our ancestors of which Muhammad built the religion of Islam (Surrendering to the Will of God). It is a completion, and uniting of the past and future in the living present of Yeshua that is here and now. And that makes you even more a of a Jewish, and even more of a Muslim. Without anything lost, but Eternal life gained. In no way does it denigrate the prophet Muhammad either, and what he taught. And in no way does it denigrate the Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and the line of Moses. Yeshua is there, in the middle, a solution to thousands of years of fighting. Lets come to peace. It is time. I too believe it is possible. I believe.
