Did the holy spirit "inspired" any church denominations (there are thousands) in the last 2000yrs.. Pertaining to problems like alcoholism, racism.. What about surplus of women in societies.. in USA alone there's 8million more women than men.. any solutions to tackle these problems from the holy spirit??

I tell myself I'm only going to listen to one story and two hours later I'm still listening. Love these stories of faith and the power of Jesus' love for all his people. I'm a new Christian, not Jewish, but wondered how his chosen people felt about Messiah and why they didn't believe in him. I was searching for answers when I stumbled across this channel. That prayer has been a blessing for many! Years ago my little grandson was diagnosed with autism, and every night I would say that prayer with him. That phrase "if I should die" scared him, too, so I changed it to "let angels guard me thru the night, and wake me with the morning light." The first night we prayed that prayer, he looked up at me and smiled a big smile. Next morning he awakened, climbed into bed with Grandpa and me, and said, "Morning light, grandma! Morning light!". That was years ago. Today he is in an ivy league university, majoring in physics! Jesus is our Light!

She mentions that when she encountered Jesus her life was so much happier and God blessed her with a humble man of God. Her children serve the Lord and hearing this is extremely beautiful and true! I experienced the same thing when I accepted Jesus as Lord and Saviour. God sent me to my husband and everything was so divine! God opened every door for us to be united, it was so sweet. I am not born jewish, but ecuadorian. I love seeing these testimonies, they are so incredible and eye opening because ive learned of the things people have said about Jesus that are not true, once we were lost and now we are found. I'm a loser addict that deserves no mercy, but He still gave me salvation just because I asked for it. He loves me daily and I fail Him with the same consistency, but He still loves me. I'm still saved. Nobody can recite one story better than that. Because He loves me, I love you. And I hope nothing but the best for you and yours.

Jesus willingly went to His roman execution because He specifically counted it ALL JOY to take on YOUR SINS, zino mami, and die & then resurrect for YOU, so that YOU could be forgiven of all your sins..... past, present, and future. By going to the cross, Jesus did not let His Abba Father down, either. He fulfilled prophecy and set the souls of mankind free. By His atoning blood, as our Passover Lamb of God, He covers the sin of our soul. Jesus uttered, "It is finished" just before He died, physically in the human form in which He chose to dwell. He took the penalty of death for each of us. He laid down His human incarnation for us. I recently watched some of the testimonies of Jews who accepted Jesus. One element always seems to be similar though, they grew up in total misconception of Jesus and christianity based on what they were thought at home or in synagogues. For most Jesus was taboo, they even did not know that He was Jewish. Unbelievable...

Wow! I just texted this exact same thing to my mom! I had no idea Jews are brainwashed into believing lies about Jesus! So sad. Praying for all who need the scales pulled off their eyes to see the truth!
I know, right? Think about when Yeshua was crucified and He died on the cross. At that moment, there was an earthquake and the parokhet (curtain) at the mouth of the temple was torn in two. Graves opened and whole and healthy people got out of their graves. Thousands of people saw this. The priests in power in Jerusalem worked very hard along with the Romans to cover it up. They still try to keep people from it. It's my understanding that some synagogues don't discuss Isaiah 53 or even Haggai 2 because these portions of the Torah talk about the Messiah, what would happen to Him and that he'd visit the second temple. That temple fell in 70 a.d. Yeshua told the apostles that the beautiful temple they were standing in would fall and not one stone of the walls would stand. Then it happened well after He left. It's truly fascinating.
Jesus is a Hebrew name, only one name above all names by which to be saved, ONE NAME, you have two different names, choice one, remember what bible says that if you change even one word the plagues will be added on you.

Ash qelon please read Luke chapter 19 especially verse 40. if you know what the jews were saying you'd understand that he accepted their worship. they were singing from the psalm about the massaiah. the pharisees recognized that and they told jesus to rebuke them because they knew saying that is only to the king of Israel. My grandfather taught us an extra two lines to that prayer ‘Now I lay me down to sleep... And if I live for other days, I pray Thee Lord to guide my ways” I too thought Jesus was Catholic. I was born and raised Catholic, until the real Jesus opened my eyes through the Scriptures when I was 47 years old, three years ago. Most beautiful part was that Jesus removed the spiritual blindness from my husband and three children as well within three months of Him saving me. Thank You Jesus for loving us!
Debra, We share some experiences. My parents were agnostic Jews. I've never gone to a Synagogue to attend a service, and the only religious teaching I can remember getting from my parents is my father having me repeat every line of that same prayer: Now I lay me down to sleep... I found the line about dying before I wake (while still a kid) scared me a bit, but I still loved reciting that prayer with my father. That was it for family religious practices. +kumar My dear freind, Jesus loves you, as he loved everyone some of who even crucified him, he said "forgive them father for they knew not what they are doing" he died for your sins too on the cross, his unblemish blood has the power to give you redemption, salvation and righteousness. you're not saved by the works of your hand(karma) but you are saved by the grace and redemption of your sins in Christ(Goodness of God not karma so that none can boast on themselves but only on the grace in Christ). Lord Jesus is Real and He came to save sinners and bring them to God. I was a Hindu and I found Jesus as my Saviour when I was 19 yrs. I am following Him reading His Word and loving to pray and having fellowship with God's people . I am 74 now .
The church is the body of believers. Institutions can become political and corrupt. Charismatic leaders can lead others to false doctrine, tradition of men, that Jesus warned about in Mark 7. Jesus did not teach about praying to Mary. Jesus did not teach about praying to saints. He said to pray to our heavenly Father. Jesus did not teach about indulgences whereby payments are exchanged for the forgiveness of sins. Jesus did not teach Mary is the Mother of God.
I grew up Orthodox Jewish,near NYC. As a kid,I assumed that Jesus was a Catholic guy who lived a long time ago and I thought that the Holy Ghost(I somehow heard the term) was like Casper The Friendly Ghost,only a holy version.
People in india here thinks the same. For them, christianity is Catholicism+western culture. They think christians have crucifixes and worship idols and Pope is christian guru. They think(due to western stereotypes) that christians are just the people who drink alcohol, wear short clothes and have sex. I was same but oh, how my life changed(which is a very long story) after I read NT myself. Coming to jesus was just the best decision of my life.

My family was all Roman Catholic & my Mom & aunt taught me that exact same prayer - Now I lay me down to sleep... (I am now an ex-Catholic bible believing Christian) My aunt crocheted that prayer into a beautiful work of art about 60 years ago and put it in a frame. Now my daughter has it on the wall of my 5 y.o.granddaughter's room & I taught it to her a few weeks ago. I still remember kneeling down next to my bed as a child every night & saying that prayer with - God bless Mommy & Daddy and... I should add that we have very similar stories except I'm a man, also from NY who said the same prayer, was also a hippie who smoked pot and dropped acid. She was saved and became a Christian from the Jewish faith. I was saved and became a Christian from the Catholic faith.
Catholics are Christians and are the original Christian. You were not “saved” from the Catholic faith. The Catholic faith was started by Jesus and passed down to the Apostolic Fathers.

The event with the accused adulterous was a test of the Messiah's knowledge of Torah. The Pharisees were accusing the woman without "two or more witnesses" and the man who had committed this transgression was no were to be found, however, the Torah requires both adulterer and adulterous be presented to the authorizes. He knew it was a trap so he answered with both the authority/knowledge and compassion.

Since she mentioned the subject, I want to put in my testimony. I come from a Hindu secular family, and I had deeply deeply deeply rooted evolutionist point of view of the universe, but when I was first introduced to Jesus, for the first time in my life I was ready to believe that - "Yes, this is the God who could have created the universe. (even before reading Genesis 1)". That was a marvel in itself because nothing nothing could ever make me believe that. But, I came to know about Jesus after growing up & some secular things are deeply enshrined or solidified in me. So, even if my spirit would agree, even today I am not able to whole-heartedly think or believe that the universe was indeed created and not randomly made. I wish I was introduced to Jesus in my childhood because as a child I was a thinker & was intrigued by some concepts like "infinity" - what could explain that? "Not 'god' definitely" - I remember thinking that in 4th standard/grade. However, unlike her (this woman narrator) - nothing in the Bible, for example, the incidence of a woman caught in adultery or any other incidences tell me anything about Jesus' character [it was God opening her (the narrator's) eyes for her]. For me, when I was introduced to Jesus - it was the graceful explanation of Bible verses by the pastor that made my spirit realize that - this could only come from GOD (whom I never knew before). For example, the way they would say out loud the word 'Lord' - that rang a bell in me. Immediately in my spirit I would understand that this is DIFFERENT from anything I have ever heard or known. I just hope that God would do the impossible - open my solidified heart to know God as the Creator.

I tell myself I'm only going to listen to one story and two hours later I'm still listening. Love these stories of faith and the power of Jesus' love for all his people. I'm a new Christian, not Jewish, but wondered how his chosen people felt about Messiah and why they didn't believe in him. I was searching for answers when I stumbled across this channel. That prayer has been a blessing for many! Years ago my little grandson was diagnosed with autism, and every night I would say that prayer with him. That phrase "if I should die" scared him, too, so I changed it to "let angels guard me thru the night, and wake me with the morning light." The first night we prayed that prayer, he looked up at me and smiled a big smile. Next morning he awakened, climbed into bed with Grandpa and me, and said, "Morning light, grandma! Morning light!".
That was years ago. Today he is in an ivy league university, majoring in physics! Jesus is our Light!

She mentions that when she encountered Jesus her life was so much happier and God blessed her with a humble man of God. Her children serve the Lord and hearing this is extremely beautiful and true! I experienced the same thing when I accepted Jesus as Lord and Saviour. God sent me to my husband and everything was so divine! God opened every door for us to be united, it was so sweet. I am not born jewish, but ecuadorian. I love seeing these testimonies, they are so incredible and eye opening because ive learned of the things people have said about Jesus that are not true, once we were lost and now we are found. One element always seems to be similar though, they grew up in total misconception of Jesus and christianity based on what they were thought at home or in synagogues. I know, right? Think about when Yeshua was crucified and He died on the cross. At that moment, there was an earthquake and the parokhet (curtain) at the mouth of the temple was torn in two. Graves opened and whole and healthy people got out of their graves. Thousands of people saw this. The priests in power in Jerusalem worked very hard along with the Romans to cover it up. They still try to keep people from it. It's my understanding that some synagogues don't discuss Isaiah 53 or even Haggai 2 because these portions of the Torah talk about the Messiah, what would happen to Him and that he'd visit the second temple. That temple fell in 70 a.d. Yeshua told the apostles that the beautiful temple they were standing in would fall and not one stone of the walls would stand. Then it happened well after He left. It's truly fascinating.

I too thought Jesus was Catholic. I was born and raised Catholic, until the real Jesus opened my eyes through the Scriptures when I was 47 years old, three years ago.
Most beautiful part was that Jesus removed the spiritual blindness from my husband and three children as well within three months of Him saving me.

We share some experiences. My parents were agnostic Jews. I've never gone to a Synagogue to attend a service, and the only religious teaching I can remember getting from my parents is my father having me repeat every line of that same prayer: Now I lay me down to sleep... I found the line about dying before I wake (while still a kid) scared me a bit, but I still loved reciting that prayer with my father. That was it for family religious practices.
Years later I found Jesus. It seems that same little prayer was my steppingstone. Thanks Dad. Thanks Debra.

I grew up Orthodox Jewish,near NYC. As a kid,I assumed that Jesus was a Catholic guy who lived a long time ago and I thought that the Holy Ghost(I somehow heard the term) was like Casper The Friendly Ghost,only a holy version.
People in india here thinks the same.
For them, christianity is Catholicism+western culture.
They think christians have crucifixes and worship idols and Pope is christian guru. They think(due to western stereotypes) that christians are just the people who drink alcohol, wear short clothes and have sex.
I was same but oh, how my life changed(which is a very long story) after I read NT myself. Coming to jesus was just the best decision of my life.

My family was all Roman Catholic & my Mom & aunt taught me that exact same prayer - Now I lay me down to sleep... (I am now an ex-Catholic bible believing Christian) My aunt crocheted that prayer into a beautiful work of art about 60 years ago and put it in a frame. Now my daughter has it on the wall of my 5 y.o.granddaughter's room & I taught it to her a few weeks ago. I still remember kneeling down next to my bed as a child every night & saying that prayer with - God bless Mommy & Daddy and...
I should add that we have very similar stories except I'm a man, also from NY who said the same prayer, was also a hippie who smoked pot and dropped acid. She was saved and became a Christian from the Jewish faith. I was saved and became a Christian from the Catholic faith.
Catholics are Christians and are the original Christian. You were not “saved” from the Catholic faith. The Catholic faith was started by Jesus and passed down to the Apostolic Fathers.

The event with the accused adulterous was a test of the Messiah's knowledge of Torah. The Pharisees were accusing the woman without "two or more witnesses" and the man who had committed this transgression was no were to be found, however, the Torah requires both adulterer and adulterous be presented to the authorizes. He knew it was a trap so he answered with both the authority/knowledge and compassion.

Since she mentioned the subject, I want to put in my testimony. I come from a Hindu secular family, and I had deeply deeply deeply rooted evolutionist point of view of the universe, but when I was first introduced to Jesus, for the first time in my life I was ready to believe that - "Yes, this is the God who could have created the universe. (even before reading Genesis 1)". That was a marvel in itself because nothing nothing could ever make me believe that. But, I came to know about Jesus after growing up & some secular things are deeply enshrined or solidified in me. So, even if my spirit would agree, even today I am not able to whole-heartedly think or believe that the universe was indeed created and not randomly made. I wish I was introduced to Jesus in my childhood because as a child I was a thinker & was intrigued by some concepts like "infinity" - what could explain that? "Not 'god' definitely" - I remember thinking that in 4th standard/grade.
However, unlike her (this woman narrator) - nothing in the Bible, for example, the incidence of a woman caught in adultery or any other incidences tell me anything about Jesus' character [it was God opening her (the narrator's) eyes for her]. For me, when I was introduced to Jesus - it was the graceful explanation of Bible verses by the pastor that made my spirit realize that - this could only come from GOD (whom I never knew before). For example, the way they would say out loud the word 'Lord' - that rang a bell in me. Immediately in my spirit I would understand that this is DIFFERENT from anything I have ever heard or known.
I just hope that God would do the impossible - open my solidified heart to know God as the Creator.

These testimonies are such a blessing and faith builder in the love of Jesus. They always strengthen my faith to love Yeshua more.

This testimony warmed up my heart today and I am encouraged to hear that the word of God has its own power to transform and heal people. Thanks be to God! I also had repented my lack of faith in God and for having given up intercession for the Jewish diaspora and for unbelieving friends around me... May the Lord continue the good work of salvation he started until the day of our Lord Jesus Christ!
