Hey Jackie! I'm atheist, but I actually enjoyed you putting those bible verses in. I don't really see people practicing their faith anymore publicly, and I think that leads to more misunderstandings about the religion because people aren't exposed to the "good believers" and go off of the media demonizations of religious people instead. I've tried this product and i absolutely love it! I, too, used it as a base before applying my clinique matte foundation and then after that, i'd set it again as it leaves me a beautiful flawless finish. i'm very happy with it.
Let's see how this powder holds up come summer time tho. The true test!

Anheleta Fermin if your yellow/medium then I'd suggest just using banana powder, or the regular Laura mercier power. If your tan u might be able to use this one but anything lighter I would say no.
Anheleta Fermin it's advertised as being for medium deep to deep skin tones rather than medium to deep tones, so if your foundation isn't in the deep category it may show up too dark. I haven't seen anyone around Missylynn's complexión review it yet, and I'm similar to her.

CatSn00p1 Try Dawn soap or Neutrogena bar soap. They work better than the official cleanser. You can also sanitize by microwaving it in water for 2 minutes but I'm crazy about skincare so don't mind me. 😊

NaturalMo I have dry skin too. I had the original Laura and I liked it, but it left a bit of a cast on my face. And I also like sacha casue it brightens where I set my concealer. Thanks for letting me know.

Thank you for this comparison, since we can't do it in the store for another week or so. I'm glad Laura's is warm. Sometimes, with being a neutral (olive green) brown girl, too much "neutral" adds too much of the blue in green that makes the olive undertone and can sometimes look muddy or dull. Especially, if the foundation shade is perfect at first, but tries down a tad bit darker thus, its nice to have a setting powder to brighten things back up! BUYING.
I usually have to do a bit of balancing. If I use something too orange or cool for me, I drag down my yellow (the neutral primary color) concealer a little more than usual to even it out. I also fix a lot problems with powder; if my face looks too cool, I bronze more because its warm. If I look too orange, I contour more because I use a cool shade to contour with. And ultimately, if this all seems a little confusing for you sweetie, you can always buy two shades close to you and mix to customize the foundation shade. Its just all about playing around with things. Hope this helps.

For Olive Brown girls, I tend to know more because Im brown. I think you can still apply the same concept I mentioned to olive skin that is lighter. I just know im general, olive undertones don't look too bad with a bit of warmth, but not too much to the point you look, pink, red, or orange.

Nicole Headley from what I can see... Sasha is more wallet friendly. Also Jackie has been swearing by Buttercup for years.. hard to replace a classic.. in the words of Johnny Cochrane "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"

The fact that this new powder is so celebrated makes me realize just how often WOC are marginalized in the cosmetic industry. Its truly appalling.
