Why such negativity and nasty edge to the criticisms of this young couple? It’s great to see two young people getting stuck in and doing things for themselves. Encourage don’t scorn!
@philomenahearn...I agree. There was no need to come at them in such a hostile manner. Yes, encouragement should be done...not scorning. They’re lucky to be getting such a beautiful spot and making something of it by good hard work. I’m assuming you were talking to robertburrows.
Wow that’s a lot of rebuilding!! So satisfying seeing real rocks come out the wall and reusable ones too! Mortar crumbling back into earth?! Amazing. Just shows how building with nature and not against it gives both the most longevity and sustainability as well!!
This is great drone work guys! I’m back in a log cabin that’s been abandoned for 24 years and has 8 large skylights! I’m also slowly, but surely, getting it whipped back into shape. I’ve put a lot of back breaking work into this place and it gives you a different kind of appreciation for it, you know? Are you going to use some of those rocks for a rock garden? Is that a rat terrier? I had a Decker Rat Terrier. He got to 40 pounds.
Great work! I have worked on lots of places like this and there’s a lot of work that goes into them! How did you get on with the ecological side of things? Much to contend with? I’m thinking you’ll be making some lovely windows and stairs for this at some point? Oak maybe? Your joinery is top notch 👍🏻
Hi from 🇦🇺 Im new to your channel and am looking forward to your barn renovation. You look like just the right hardworking couple to pull it off💪 all the best
I don’t get why you’re taking good foundational walls off though. They’re good room separators. What are your plans for this place...I mean I know a house..but how many bedrooms and bathrooms?
Hi so the first wall we took down on this video, is not a structural wall and would be in the middle of what will be a kitchen/diner, so ideally had to come out. Then the back wall that’s under ground has to be rebuilt due to the structural survey we had done as advised by the structural engineer.
@@CountrywoodGirlis that because of all the cement plastered all over it? I hear using cement isn’t compatible with the natural building materials due to trapping the moisture?🤔 (maybe you can talk about guidance you got about it on a separate video?)
