Chris’ 80% is better than most people’s 100%.
@darksidemachining 💯-
Still want him at 100%.
@@Slitheringpeanut- wow. why do you hate him so much? I want him at 69420% 🤙
Chris, glad you finally escaped Jumanji. It's been years.
Well played 👏🏻
Love having the Gore back.
..............
Chris, we love you, great to see you back!
I'm glad to see Chris Gore in good health, love the new beard! Keep it up guys! :)
Aunt May praying before bed with the Green Goblin crashing into the room saying “Finish it” was an amazing scene.
"...FROM EVIL!!!"
I haven't even heard of 90% of these movies
So glad your back, Chris. Disagree with you about Silo, though. It's great SF. So much so that it's worth putting up with Common's performance.
Loved the rapid-fire reviews. I also like the long form reviews you guys normally do, but it's fun to get quick takes for many shows and movies all at once. Perhaps Film Threat could have a weekly or bi-monthly show for people who want two or three minute takes on all the movies and shows you review? A quick go to review post to get a rundown on all of the movies and streaming shows for the month in one setting? For those who have little time and cannot watch all of your longform reviews, but want to get an overview of what's out to watch? With links to your full reviews, so they can explore in detail a pedicular movie they are interested in? Welcome back Chris, you were missed, but Alan had some really good guests that I found entertaining. You have good friends.
It feels like a film like Civil War could have benefited more from being Directed by Paul Verhoeven and how he would satirise everyone including the journalists akin to Robocop & Starship Trooper’s Satire
Now that's a movie I would have payed to go see
You had me at, "Battle Beyond The Stars".
Love you forever.
Chris at 80% is better than almost every other critic at 300%
Spider-man 2 definitely worth a theatre experience !!! 🙏
The rant of the Spider-Man trilogy is PROFOUND
Welcome back Chris! Wonderful comments on older movies containing patriotism, heroism, god and romance. Great to hear these things are appreciated by young audiences. Great to see you and Alan together again.
I liked that Shogun was a one-off Mini-Series as I find it hard to keep up every year sometimes with the regulars but a well written & directed Mini-Series hits the sweet between Film & a yearly TV/Streaming Show. We need more TV & Streaming one & done Mini-Series akin to Old School Anime OVAs but with more attention to detail of a Cinematic Motion Picture
Apparently they're doing a second season though.
@@reneszeywerth8352Considering. I dunno if it’s been confirmed
Yo Film Threat, GREAT to see Gore back Online and cracking wise about FILM!! You ROCK Chris!! ~Mark~
It’s Santa Gore! Welcome back brotha! Good see you well and in good spirits and back to do what you do best! We missed you …Gary missed you lol. Loved the Spiderman review in this vid!
Great to see Chris and Al back together again!
I shaved my beard just in time for you to debut yours. The world can only have so many great beards at once!
I'm so glad Gore is doing okay. I hope for a speedy recovery. Happy to see you back on camera.
First things first, awesome to have Chris back. Andy and Chris together... they are the best duo critics since Siskel and Ebert. Perhaps better. Secondly, I miss the days of no reservation movie theaters. Those were the best, free-for-all days. Part of the excitement was about getting the best seats. Today, for Generation Iphone and Tiktok, it is all so much about being digitally pampered. There should be at least one reservation-free day. It was once part of the movie going experience and to me, the movies are not the same. Old school, I confess.
I’m so glad you’re back Chris, I’m happy you’re doing better.
Welcome back, man! Your sanity in these dark times is greatly appreciated! Be well!
LOVE! seeing Chris Gore back in action! God bless man, also the beard = 👌
Glad to see you back and doing well brother! 💪 🙏🏼
Yay to have Chris back!
I loved Chris rapidfire review! I also liked Shogun very much.
It's great to see you back Chris and I hope you get to 100% soon.
So glad you’re recovering so well, Chris!
“Disney is allergic to money” - Absolute truth
Nice to see you back Chris,. Hope your dong well.
OH THANK GOD
I feel the same about Zendaya😭
I agree Chris especially with how you talking about the traditional societal values in the rami Spider-Man movies. One thing I also noticed was unity like when Spider-Man was fighting the green goblin all the New Yorkers came together to help him and even when he stopped the train from coming off the rails how they all came together and helped him keep his identity secret.
Great vid. Welcome back, Frank.
Nice to see you back, Chris.
The only thing missing from this review was a long thin box with DVD's in it that Chris could throw on the floor after each rapid review! 😉Great to see ya Chris! (You too, Alan!)
Welcome back, Chris! It's great to hear from you again.
Fall Guy is really good. Not great enough to gush about to others but let’s just say I was pleasantly surprised and left theater happy. Blunt and Gosling are incredible talents and Chris is right about their chemistry it is off the charts.
Keep The Beard! Prayers for the next 20%.
Love the shout out to James Horner’s Battle Beyond the Stars!
I fully agree with your observation of the Tobey Maguire Spiderman trilogy, Mr. Chris Gore.... Romance, Love of Country, and religion bring it back in our movies and in our society.
My wife about 7 years ago had 3 brain aneurysms and a stroke. Chris you will get back to where you need to be it will just take some time god bless and glad you are feeling better
Welcome back!!! Looking good!!!
Glad your back Chris!
I’m so happy you’re ok Chris. I just found film threat a few months ago. I have been a fan since attack of the show. I’ve always trusted “most” of your reviews and your segments were too short. Long live DvDuesday! Love you buddy.
It's good to see you Chris. You look great.
Welcome back Chris! You sound great
Mr. Gore, glad to see you back. Really happy you are doing well. In response to your not liking Maximus in FallOut it is because his character has the Idiot Savant perk from the game. He is supposed to bumble his way through but get the absolute best result.
I think he just hates seeing black people in movies and tv. Zendaya, Common, Maximus. He hated every black character in everything he saw. A lot of these anti-woke critics think there are too many black people in movies these days. Also they hate when Villains are portrayed white men. I believe he would prefer it if cinema returned to a 50's vibe where white christians are portrayed as heroes and minorities are evil.
I would like this weekly on or before friday. Quick rating of every movie at the theater so i know before i go.
The prequels get waaaaay too much hate! It was so much fun too see The Phantom Menace in theaters!
Nahhhh
Chris you did brilliant mate
Can't wait til Chris gets back with Gary. DOUBLE STROKE POWER!
Great to see you back Chris
Great to have you back Chris. You're a much needed voice in film criticism. Best wishes on your road to recovery, you look and sound great my friend. I do disagree with you about the ending of Silo, as it's not the end and there's more to the story, but I will concede that Common was awful. But at the end of the day, Silo is the show I wish Fallout had been. Fallout was so horribly written it was ridiculous. Outside of Goggins it was a complete mess, lore breaking as well.👍
It's good to have Gore back on the saddle, the show wasn't the same without ya. 👍
chris is the only honest person on Zendaya👏👏
Chris, Civil War did the opposite of making Heroes of journalists. They we're addicted to the rush of getting the big interview or photo and not getting involved in helping people that needed help.
Great to see you back Chris.
With Alan on Arcadia defo very watchable.
Nice to see you back Chris, and the beard looks cool so keep it! Shout out to Alan for doing a great job recently and really enjoyed seeing him full stage. On the Spiderman take - 100%. Your're basically mourning what once was and it hurts. It really is a stark wake up to the shift that's taken place 😢
Welcome back Sir!
Chris, I also dislike Zendaya. 🎉. You sound like you are getting better with each day! ♥️
love the reastie beard Chris, good to see you back.
The Phantom Menace is great
Great to see ya, Chris. Looking and sounding great. Sweet f’ing beard!
RE: Silo
I enjoyed the show, though I agree Common feels really out of place because he's just... Common, and the payoff is lackluster. But I enjoyed the show enough to buy the books. I definitely recommend them. I think they have a chance of redeeming this first season simply by continuing the story because it gets much more interesting from this point on.
Where they chose to end the season is barely the halfway point of the first book. And that's the problem. The whole police procedural aspect which the show focuses on is still in the book, but it moves at a very fast pace and doesn't take up that much time. It doesn't really warrant an entire season of TV imo. The real mystery and intrigue of the story doesn't truly kick into gear until where the finale happened.
This show's main problem is the pacing. If they moved at a faster clip while still retaining the worldbuilding the current ending could have happened 3/4th of the way through the show allowing them to end on a better cliffhanger moment which happens not too long after the final scene.
Anyway, I highly recommend the books. I personally think the show is decent right now, but has room for improvement. They have a good cast (except Common) and great production design. I just hope they can improve the pacing with season 2.
Hail "the silver fox" and steeeve i mean Alan. also Nick Cage is not afraid.
Great job Chris
Let's remember that SPIDERMAN 2 was written by Alvin Sargent, in his 70's at the time---a legendary screenwriter who also penned PAPER MOON, ORDINARY PEOPLE, STRAIGHT TIME and GAMBIT among many others. Talent is ageless.
Russell T Davies: hold my beer!
Mr Gore, you arer back! And, BETTER THAN EVER!👍
There is a sesaon 2 of Silo so that's not the final ending. There are talks about a season 2 on Shogun.
It’s like Chris never left, he’s firing on all cylinders! Welcome back, sir!
Why nobody watch Sugar? I think it's really good show. Also as it has been confirmed (Fiction Horizon) that a second season of Shōgun is in development and that Hiroyuki Sanada, the main actor from the series, has signed on for a second season.
Spider-Tobey rules, totally agree!
Got me interested in I See The TV Glow.
So glad you’re back and doing well! Keep the beard - you look great. Take care of yourself.
Having Chris back is like Christmas! He makes the world taste good. His absence was palpable- an empty space that sucked all the air out of the room. I love Alan, (and I thought Paulie from Latino Slant was the best fill in co-host), but he works better knocking ideas & opinions off Mr. Gore. Life seems normal again
I like the rapid fire reviews
I completely agree with Chris on the aspects of the Sam Rami Spiderman movies being all American and the absences of moral value and patriotism in films today. We need to see stories that can celebrate our country and identity.
Extremely hard to celebrate a place that is in the state it is in now... and not an end in sight lol
@@idiot_city5244Then I would say that seeing and hearing optimistic tales that include the good our country has or is capable of is all the more necessary.
Keep the faith. It gets better.
@cosmincristani1993 agreed to an extent. America is nothing what it used to be, what's shown in films from 20 years ago is long gone at this point, but it definitely wouldn't hurt
Silo's ending was just a setup for another season that has already been filmed but hasn't received a release date. They will probably move that up to make sure it gets out before Fallout season 2 comes out - for obvious reasons. Fallout season one was the same for me. I loved what they were trying to do. I've played Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas and the show made me feel like I was playing the game again. I loved it enough to over look the rough patches. But I thought the show runners had not figured out the Brotherhood of Steel guy , and I thought the last episode was a total botch because they were trying to do to much to set things up for Season 2. Yeah, Shogun really built nicely up into a Game of Thrones type thing. Lots of interest. James Clavell also wrote Tai Pan, and Noble House, besides Shogun. So there is more to drink from that well. Zack Snyder: wheat slo-mo with lens flairs.
Im glad Chris is much improved but dont push it champ. Your health and longevity is also important.
I watched Alien and The Mummy in theaters recently and it was great!
been waiting for this.. love you gore
I am interested in watching Fallout - not because I liked the games (I didn’t even know it was based on a game until I started watching reviews and I haven’t so much as looked up the game), but because I love Walton Goggins as an actor (I highly recommend watching Justified; Goggins is awesome as Boyd Crowder). I still sort of want to watch it, but - to avoid getting turned off the story - could I get away with not watching the last episode?
Religion, Patriotism, and family values in the Spiderman Sam Rami trilogy! Imagine that! Make movies good again!
I'm one of the people that has a problem with the last episode of Shogun. It's not that it made a twist of the ending, but rather I felt it spent too much time on character relationships that I really didn't care too much about, and almost none with the people I wanted to see more of. So personal preference I suppose.
welcome back!
《ALL HAIL THE CAGE》
...i love your Evaluation of the Spider-Man Trilogy!!!
...i hadn't heard of "I Saw the TV Glow" but your Review has me intrigued...
...i haven't seen "Arcadian" yet, but i'll be buying it on BluRay!!!
👽 🖖 🤖
Welcome back Chris! I have to respectfully disagree with your opinion of the payoff on Silo. I have not read the books but I’m inclined to now.
I’m very interested in why you didn’t like the payoff. For me it was like an “Inception” style of ending.
Also, major plus to it not being woke.
Chris looks like an older Oliver Queen/Green Arrow. About Fall Guy, I had a great time but I sort of feel like it could have used a better script? He wished also it would have been a little less comedic and more real. With a "Nice Guys" vibe like Gosling did with Russel Crowe.
ahaha are we entering the "old man Chris Gore" story arc ? for non reader of comics there were a serie of "old man" version of various DC and Marvel comics where they are elderly badasses old man Logan is one can't remember the names of the other series, I binge read comics
@@fredEVOIX oh yea that's right, we had old man Hawkeye as well! lol That could be Gary ah ha
Love the rapidfire lol
The one true spiritual successor to Roger Ebert! Glad you're back!
You mess with one of us you mess with all of us!!!!
God I love the spiderman trilogy
I hope Chris understands that we missed him more than he misses patriotism & heroism in modern film. Alan did a GREAT JOB while Chris was gone, but Film Threat w/o Chris is like Fruity Pebbles without milk. You look & sound great, Chris. 👍
Older American Movies are definitely better. I agreed with Chris with values of patriotism and Christianity in the background are great. Hope you stay well Chris
Shogun is the first series in a long time where I couldn't wait to watch the next episode.
Fallout looks like Winnie Cooper verses Red Skull. Thanks for recommending I watched the tv glow- now I’m interested in that
MORE GORE! ❤️
Very good catch-up! I might rewatch that Spider-Man trilogy. Saw it once when these were being released in cinemas. Not a big superhero fan, but an entertaining action movie is just that. The same goes for the Batman trilogy with Bale. Haven't seen any newer movies from this genre and not planning to.
💯 agree on challengers and it's NOT "IT girl" actress.
Be well Chris, stick to the medical advise.
Glad to see he's doing better, and apparently recovering quite well
