    That's a nice little boat, may I suggest putting the burner flue towards the bottom of the boiler instead of the center, it'll give you more runtime as it takes longer for the the flue to get exposed and stop making (as much) steam.

    Bigger propellor maybe? The motor seems to have plenty power. Make it go moar faster. ... oh ... and a bigger hull ... less sinky.

      Lowered motor for stability but to make it faster still will have to dramatically lower the weight.

      prop size matters less then the angle of the prop blades, a bigger prop wont make it faster.

    Should have definitely build Jet at the back. Would have more control with steering and propeller would have better flow = thrust. Overall great project!!! Well done and you have amazed me with your skills once again. Keep it up!!

      I think it's just because it's really heavy. That propane tank combined with the boiler should be at least 20lbs, if not more.

    Prop is running in cavitation. Also I think the motor is crazy inefficient in comparison to a steam piston drive. Really cool project though. I would love to see you improve the design.

    4:15 you build a jet engine. Add the turbine and compressor to generate more thrust.

    Great to see steam used used for anything anymore. Heavy drivetrain, set that boiler at the bottom of the boat. Your work it top notch. I've been in the steam buisness my entire career, (since 1981) and always enjoy seeing steam things, your build is fantastic. Well done.

    I was expecting 150mph then watch to end and it goes 5 mph. Awesome build but expected a lil more speed out of it.

    The impact gun "barrel motor" recycling was a pretty good idea.
    I think that a lower center of gravity and a bit lesss weight would be better.

    The Scott Boiler with its hanging water tube loops and coiled superheater is a thing of steam beauty. Lots of fiddly welds but this guy would be fine.

    nice project. but you should work on your tig skills a bit. they look a kinda rough, especially on the small stuff. also no need to use the pulse function all the time. otherwise great work

    Amazing Project Sirius prop height problems though. Much lower and might want to add another bottle of another maybe oxygen if you're going to go underwater. Awesome video I love it I hope it was recovered you added floatation and you changed the prop location and you're going to give us another video of course. Because we all want to see it

    This boat has the power to go fast but it cant because the prop is too high, I build fiberglass rc boats and many of my first boats were cavitating just like yours(sucking air and creating a pocket of air around the prop) if you simply drop the prop 2-3 inches lower, I garuntee you could hit 10mph👍😁
