That's a nice little boat, may I suggest putting the burner flue towards the bottom of the boiler instead of the center, it'll give you more runtime as it takes longer for the the flue to get exposed and stop making (as much) steam.
Should have definitely build Jet at the back. Would have more control with steering and propeller would have better flow = thrust. Overall great project!!! Well done and you have amazed me with your skills once again. Keep it up!!
Hahahaha, I love how you just went alllll the way with creating such a beautiful boat. It doesn't matter that it sunk. But I hope you now feel obliged to at least create a version 2.0 ;)
how nice to see your videos.see working with the lathe. I remember when I was a turner and I worked to overhaul machine tools. Che bello vedere i tuoi video.Mi ricordo quando facevo il tornitore e lavoravo per revisionare le macchine utensili🇮🇹
Dude, Whenever I watch your videos it amazing me how creatative you are. I'm not sure what you do or did for living before making videos but your skills are impressive. Keep up the great work.
Prop is running in cavitation. Also I think the motor is crazy inefficient in comparison to a steam piston drive. Really cool project though. I would love to see you improve the design.
Great to see steam used used for anything anymore. Heavy drivetrain, set that boiler at the bottom of the boat. Your work it top notch. I've been in the steam buisness my entire career, (since 1981) and always enjoy seeing steam things, your build is fantastic. Well done.
nice project. but you should work on your tig skills a bit. they look a kinda rough, especially on the small stuff. also no need to use the pulse function all the time. otherwise great work
So beautiful and calming, loved the sound bites and the photography, and true to form, you build a beauty, and then she sinks. We all do it and love it. Thank you.
Hydrostatic inflation bladder, same as life jackets might come in handy. Amazing boat and amazing fabrication skills, something to be proud of. Remarkable boat.
Love the idea, how about a full size boat with twin paddle wheels using your tracked chair differential to make each wheel operate independently call it your paddle chair ;)
Amazing Project Sirius prop height problems though. Much lower and might want to add another bottle of another maybe oxygen if you're going to go underwater. Awesome video I love it I hope it was recovered you added floatation and you changed the prop location and you're going to give us another video of course. Because we all want to see it
This boat has the power to go fast but it cant because the prop is too high, I build fiberglass rc boats and many of my first boats were cavitating just like yours(sucking air and creating a pocket of air around the prop) if you simply drop the prop 2-3 inches lower, I garuntee you could hit 10mph👍😁
Wow, the boat had submarine mode! 😂
You right. Had.
Ya man alot of work, for a sub with no teturn to home now!
😂😂 kapal selam

Bigger propellor maybe? The motor seems to have plenty power. Make it go moar faster. ... oh ... and a bigger hull ... less sinky.
Less sinky.. I'm gonna have to find it how I can use that in conversation now XD
Georg F he should put the machine lower to make it stable
Lowered motor for stability but to make it faster still will have to dramatically lower the weight.
prop size matters less then the angle of the prop blades, a bigger prop wont make it faster.
big paddles wheels on either side would prolly do really well
Финал, конечно, эпичный!!! Браво:)
Great build ... now you need to build a steam powered recovery tugboat. Hehe. Love the ingenuity!
Next Episode: RESTORING RC steam boat.
every story needs a great ending ... you didn't disappoint. lol. thanks for the laugh
You guys never fail to impress. You even made your own air / steam motor, that's just brilliant!
Not a new thing... You see it in every pneumatic gun. Still impressive though
@@viermidebutura he didn't say it was new he just said he made it themselves, which is impressive :D

Великолепный финал :)
always interesting as always: metal working, welding, turning, etc..

А че за двигатель у него

I liked the end of the video¡¡¡¡¡¡ Unexpected end, James Bond type, the boat becomes submarine ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡
Incredible!!! You guys are just on another level
You're a TIG GOD.
Your skill level is mastered. I really can appreciate your work. Well done 👍
Haven’t had a vid with 3 ads before starting. This going to be great.
Not quite as fast as I was expecting, cool build though. I love that you don't stretch your videos out too long.
I think its bc it doesn’t have much torque
I think it's just because it's really heavy. That propane tank combined with the boiler should be at least 20lbs, if not more.
@@NathanielHatley Better prop design and flatter hull shape in the front would help it a lot.
@@NathanielHatley That is part of the problem. Here's one without the propane: ruclips.net/video/xdeUe9JcBVU/видео.html
@@NathanielHatley my thoughts exactly.
This man is an artist with that welder. Simply beautiful!
Were we watching the same video?!?! 😂😂😂😂
It's a Sinker!!!! Fun build.
This guy would be awesome for an uncle. Imagine the birthday presents xD
Είσαι καλλιτέχνης! Χίλια μπράβο σου!
allways nice idea Bro. What do you think to make a video with all the wrong stuff happening during your projects?
It would be a short video
Excellent video , congratulations
Prop is running in cavitation. Also I think the motor is crazy inefficient in comparison to a steam piston drive. Really cool project though. I would love to see you improve the design.
Do you know who else would love this? Hank Hill
Dive!!!! Lol... Every time I watch one of your vids I end up out in the garage working on something
Beautiful place and next great realisation.
Thats a really good boat.
Did you make that boat for james bond? It had a hidden submarine mode 😂😂🤣
Adam sistem yapmış helal olsun
Beautiful job, dude!!! 😃
More rc stuff, please!!! ❤
This is like a movie, great plot, it is interesting and cool but then the ending .. the ending is not what we expect.

I loved The end! Made me remember a movie😂❄🌊🗽😭💎🚢🙈🙉🙊💩
Финал бомбезный!))
.You're a creative man with all the word
and I wish you a good luck
👍🏻 👍🏻❤️
I like the direct drive without a steam piston engine. much less weight this way, great!👍👍👍
Possibly one of the most interesting things I've ever seen. I definitely respect the fact that you did not edit out the incident lol
wow amazing steam boat👍👍👍😘
Different prop tests would get that beast really smoking. (See what I did there?)
TIG welding is awesome.
4:15 you build a jet engine. Add the turbine and compressor to generate more thrust.
Great to see steam used used for anything anymore. Heavy drivetrain, set that boiler at the bottom of the boat. Your work it top notch. I've been in the steam buisness my entire career, (since 1981) and always enjoy seeing steam things, your build is fantastic. Well done.
I was expecting 150mph then watch to end and it goes 5 mph. Awesome build but expected a lil more speed out of it.
Well, hat's off for ingenuity. By no means a perfect end product but enjoyable to watch. Making stuff by yourself is always gratifying. Well done.
Great video Tragic ending tho 🤣😂🤣 now you need to make another video performming a salvage operation....
The impact gun "barrel motor" recycling was a pretty good idea.
I think that a lower center of gravity and a bit lesss weight would be better.
12:36 RIP Earphone viewer
Great effort and precise job
where is the old heavy metal music??!
and what happened to the GREEN paint ??? Times are changing I guess ?? LOL
I hate orange... lol..
Every color shows the peject type, orange for speed or drivable projects, green for machines that will used to build thinks and etc..
Bubbles .....the kryptonite of buoyancy
Nice build, unfortunately I can walk faster. I really thought it was going to zip.
That is the coolest idea!
Hull is too small/heavy it cant plane properly. otherwise cool build. nice idea.
The Scott Boiler with its hanging water tube loops and coiled superheater is a thing of steam beauty. Lots of fiddly welds but this guy would be fine.
Steam exhaust should exit under water to give more thrust.
According to the size of boat the propeller size was small
Lmao the ending made me laugh way too hard, thanks for keeping that in. Lololol
Poor guy, great job buddy, you do some amazing stuff. Very cool.
nice project. but you should work on your tig skills a bit. they look a kinda rough, especially on the small stuff. also no need to use the pulse function all the time. otherwise great work
this was so great to watch...with a chuckle at the end. well done...you have lucky kids to play with all the toys you are able to make for them.👍👍
-Why did you make a steam powered boat dude??
-Because I can!!
and im glad they did since i was actually trying to find this kind of thing and they are like the only people on youtube that has done this

Instead of direct steam drive, a piston model would have more efficient , RPM to torque ratio..

It's cooler then Stirling engine ..... well done
Meanwhile
other guy makes a styrofoam boat, put a battery, electric motor and a propeller.
Boat goes too fast and sliced the river in half 😂
That is crazy awesome!
It sank because it was painted orange and not green lile.all your other projects 😂
The Workshop stuff seems to get the Green and the mobile stuff like bikes and boats seem to get the Orange. Just my observations.
The boat is now chilling with Jack lmfao.
Lol i crack myself up.
wow not that i'll build a boat but it's the road travelled keep up the good work guys
