  • I do not encourage anyone to enter culverts, unclog anything, or enter flooded areas as it can easily become deadly without the proper training
I unclog drains for fun in my spare time (I have been trained in culvert inspections for years with private co.) and I am osha trained.
Exploring anything abandoned can be dangerous or deadly without experience. I don't encourage anyone to enter any abandoned structures. Not only is safety a concern, but often times its illegal, and when possible I seek out permission from the owner or local police. I simply go to document its history before it's gone forever and I leave things the way I find them. I only take pictures and only leave footprints. I assume all the risks and responsibility before doing this. Please don't attempt to do this on your own. There could be nails, asbestos, falling concrete, soft floors, animals, or other hazards. Thanks for watching.

You've kept me coming back wanting more because you've made each video interesting and I've become addicted. Me, being an old geezer, I don't get out too much anymore so you have become an outlet for me to travel to places I have never seen before. Thanks for all you do. That really is a good rake you're using, Post. Much more effective for clearance than a standard garden rake seems to be. Great clearance! You're really doing great camera angles and shots these days, as well. I don't know if you read some books, or did an online course or something, but the quality of camera placement has improved since a couple years back for sure. I think the continuous shot while you moved cameras around was nice, because it didn't interrupt your verbal flow at all. Really did a nicer job of immersion without the cuts.

In the realm of water's flow and nature's tangle,
Your trusty potato rake, peg #4, bids adieu.
Through countless battles against debris and clogs,
You stood strong, a warrior tried and true.
From tangled branches to stubborn beaver dams,
You valiantly fought to restore the natural way.
Clearing the path for rivers to freely dance,
Your tireless efforts, a debt we can never repay.
Amidst the rush of water and untamed wild,
You braved the elements with unwavering might.
Clearing obstacles that impeded the flow,
Guiding the rivers, their course shining bright.
Now the time has come to lay you to rest,
Your days of service have reached their end.
Peg #4, you were a trooper, steadfast and true,
A loyal companion, a loyal friend.
May you find eternal peace, dear peg #4,
In the hallowed grounds of rakes gone by.
Your legacy lives on, forever in our hearts,
A symbol of resilience, reaching for the sky.
Rest easy now, alongside the potato rake,
A final farewell to your days of strife.
Your memory cherished, your presence missed,
In the tapestry of our journey through life.
RIP Potato Rake peg #4, you served us well,
Your battles are over, your spirit now free.
May your legacy inspire others to persist,
As we bid you farewell, forever in memory.

    • @ChristopherBix2
      @ChristopherBix2 7 месяцев назад +1

True. I live in an area that has several mussel beds. They were building a new bridge across the Mississippi here and had to take a lot of time to assess the mussel beds in the area and collect and relocate the threatened species.
There even used to be a large industry near here where they'd harvest hundreds of thousands of mussel shells and punch small circles out of them, drill and polish them, and sell them for buttons before plastic made them obsolete. A huge industry for decades. I still occasionally will find a clam or mussel shell washed ashore with holes cut out of it.

Those 4 tine rakes are OK, though I think he'd have better luck with one that cost more than $7. They make 3 tined rakes that use even heavier gauge rod and are nearly indestructible. I'd suggest he try one of those as well. You don't really need the width as much as simply the power to grab and yank hard.

May be too late for this year, but I have deer almost every night and I had a tick problem in the yard. I have dogs so I refuse to spray poisons. I bought some praying mantis oothicas (egg sacks) and there are hundreds in each one. Within one year….zero tick problem. They’ll eat each other too so I hatch them in a paper bag and check twice a day to hear the scratching inside. When they do hatch I spread them all over to decrease them eating each other and increase them eating all the ticks.
