Why is it always us with low subscribers that have the cheapest or free ways to fix stuff? Good job, and thank you. Fixed my issue and didn't have to disconnect any water lines.
You are a genius! Thanks! My catch clip was separated too. I just unscrewed it and left water lines in. I snapped the backing into place and the new filter clicked in easy.
Yeah I noticed that so I figured I would try to help others save money. You would think that this would be addressed by Frigidaire. Thay have to know about this. but i guess corporate twould rather sell you something you don't need. I'm glad it helped. Peace😉
Thank you!! I watched a bunch of videos and yours is the only one that actually SHOWS HOW TO FIX THIS PROBLEM! Sorry you had to buy the replacement part, but glad you did.
AWESOME VIDEO!!! You were spot on! *Only thing is that one does "not" have to even disconnect the water lines to snap back the part in place, the problem was clear as a bell just as you pointed out. THANKS SO MUCH as you saved us lots of time & money!
Everyone of these Frigidare Gallery fridges that I see on line for repair (including mine) has bad LED display with half of the numbers missing, I am on my second one and now it is acting up with missing letters. This should have been a recall on these fridges. By the way good video, but my filter was jammed in the filter head, had to remove the whole unit to get it out.
Yeah this fridge is not the best that's for sure. I'm missing part of our display also. And the friken ice and water dispenser is the worst to clean and keep the mold away. It should be able to take apart and clean. Gross when you clean up inside where you can't see and a bunch of black mold is on your paper towel. We're switching to Samsung in a couple months
I removed the two water lines and followed the video. Replugged the water lines and clicked the water filter in. B😢ut now when I dispense water for use, water leaks out from thes water lines. Any suggestions?
@MoonDoggie89 Thanks for replying. In your video, when you pulled out the inlet and outlet water lines with a plier, I see the lines are attached to a white plastic piece at the end. In my case I pulled out the lines without a plier and there is no plastic piece attached at the end of these lines. Could the plastic piece be inside that didn't come out? And now the water lines are not fitting around it when I inserted them back in?
@PA-fi8ev there is a plastic piece that is on the line that compressed to remove and install. You'll see a ring try to use needle nose and squeeze it lightly should pop out

I believe your video is the only one out there showing the pieces need to be locked together. This fixed my issue! Thank you sir!

I agree bad design on fridge we are getting new one soon. Samsung with better water and ice dispenser.

What is the part number of that catch?
I replaced the catch and it still leaked, haven't used it for over a yr. I'm gonna check the tabs when I get home!!!
Are you using original replacement? I had that problem before with aftermarket and switched back to oem

Check and make sure where it connects the is no cracks also make sure there is the little rubber gaskets that seat on .
