Hey, thanks for including my forum post and comments of the deadzone issue in the video! edit: at the time of writing it is november 20th and this issue still isn’t fixed edit 2: the issue is finally fixed via a deadzone option in the app along with a firmware update
The V2 Chroma is a very new device, so I'll have an update video/re-review out a few months down the line when more people have had time to get it in their hands. I'd also like add, since I forgot to put it in the video, that the M1 & M2 issues from the last generation wolverines has been rectified. There used to be an issue where the M1 or M2 button action would stick after you press it. This was a hardware flaw that has been remedied on newer model Wolverine Ultimate/Tournament Edtions and its also been fixed with the new V2 Controllers The Trigger and Bumper issue from the last V2 Controller has also been addressed and fixed. This was fixed on the original V2 before too long, but I'm positive people are still gonna be curious about it
I play on a 3 dead zone in apex so no I'm getting this which kind of sucks. Can you tell them to please make a adjustable thumbstick tension? That's literally all we need.
vCuda, after watching your video II had previously it previously noticed a little dead is little dead zone during playing multiple older call of duties such as BOps 3, IW, a, and BOps 4. It has been a little bit of a problem especially when you need just a slight amount of aim but I wanted to tell you since you are already in touch with a razor rep and maybe you can check this out for yourself but I went to the razor app and I used the clutch sensitivity application so that you could move the thumbstick and see the reaction on the screen in the application and it is instant! But in the game it is not...

I have zero deadzone issue with this controller. I also don't understand how people don't like or can't reach the rear buttons. I have average sized hands and my middle and ring fingers sit perfectly on all 4 rear paddles. After a very short learning curve I am already near my old skill level. 6 buttons is awesome too I can already tell my skill ceiling just increased a ton. I played with the elite series 1 and the elite series 2 ever since they came out and swapping from them to this is the best thing I've ever done. I love this controller! Thanks for the review and recommendation!

not sure if you’ll read this but it’s fine either way. 2 years ago? i found your channel and dug around to find the best controller for me. settled on a wolverine tournament edition, went to best buy and got it ordered. been using it ever since, best controller ive ever had. now, there’s wear and im looking for another controller i wanna keep on mind for when mine eventually fails. been looking at the wolverine v2 chroma, so, what i mainly wanna know, is how durable it is, if there’s drift, and if its big, heavy, etc. i’ll have to rewatch this video later because some if not all of my questions may be all answered in it lol. i just decided to leave a comment thanking you on the honest reviews, i got 2+ years use out of a controller because i found it best suit for me from your reviews. thanks vCuda.
(for the cod players) I've bought the v2 an mostly only play cod. I would say this is by far the best controller I have had and used, I've never used the wolverine but had a sabertooth years ago which was really good. I had a xbox elite series 2 for 2 years and the comparison is that the v2 is miles ahead. For me when it comes to fps shooters this controller is by far the best. One bit of advice if your going to use this train yourself to use the m1 an m2 as the left trigger an right trigger an your fingers will naturally curve to the back paddles to use for X or Y or whatever you want to use them as. It'll take time to get use to it but the pay off is worth it if you want to go for high kills.

Chroma V2 is a lovely controller, I own it along with the Ultimate - I can say it is massively over priced for what you get. £149 on Amazon UK. While there is a great controller here, there is entirely ZERO, ZEROOOOOOO, value to be found. Which makes it a miss. Considering they cheaped out with thumbstick options, no hard profile switch or any way to switch on the controller, no way to bind buttons on the fly on the controller, no media module and no case, I mean, Razer, just, NO. It's pure greed. If it was £89.99 on Amazon UK I would HIGHLY rcommend this controller, if they also added a way in the software to use the function button along with the dpad (or something) to switch profiles, I mean, how easy must this be, they have a FUNCTION BUTTON, USE IT RAZER, USE IT!!!!???? Serious question, because all I hear is how the PS5 controller battery life is horrible, not to mention you game on wired controllers. Please explain, thanks.
I've had this controller for a year now, while I have made the jump fron console to PC I still do use controller for some games as they're just better on it. Like Halo/Elden Ring or any game with cars in it. The button layout underneath takes some getting used to it but I have all 6 mapped so that I never even have to take my thumbs off the sticks, I could never go back to a normal controller after this lol, great video this deserves a sub
The dpad on the V2 chroma looks like they took it from their razed raion controller. The raion was dedicated to specifically fighting games with 6 face buttons. It works great with fighting games but had an issue with not having a pivot. It was added to later models and I assume it is used in the v2 chroma also.
When will razor update their software with these controllers, I would switch over from the elite if I could cancel right and left stick click for my fps shooters.

As someone who knows about the shift key function on the elite 2. I felt like a god. I however feel like its not something that is practical in FPS games. Slightly useful in fortnite, mainly set up for switching to pick axe. Mussel memory usually kicks in and forget about it
Their naming system is insanely frustrating lol, like 40% of my time deciding to buy a Razer product is trying to figure out which is better. Like how am I supposed to guess that a v2 is better than an "Ultimate"?
would love if Razer made one for fighting games with the Dpad on the left side where the thumb stick is. Because the mechanical buttons with that dpad in the right place would be amazing. Do you think Razer will make something like this? or when are they likely to release the V3? this controller was released in 2021. I notice its on sale in most places which usually indicates something to come
@@Koweezzy Won’t lie they definitely aren’t usual paddles like mentioned in the video. However after like a couple of days of finding a new grip on the controller you get use to them. I have A B X Y binded on all 4 pack paddles and love them and can reach them just fine. It was my biggest concern considering I have super small chunky hands so definitely took a bit to get use to but overall shouldn’t be a problem. Hope this helped !
found this channel when i was looking for reviews on the powera controller because i wanted to play ds3, rocket league, and some other games on pc with a controller lol
Above all I want this thing to be durable. I wanna buy my friend this for his birthday, he’s gone through 2 elite series 2 controllers in a short amount of time and he doesn’t throw them around or anything.
If Razers claims are true, which I hope to God they are, then it should be. But we won't know for a while and there's a chance he may get one with the deadzone problem. I'd wait until the very last minute, or until Razer gets this issue fixed
@@vCuda loved this video man and thinking of getting this controller due to bad experiences with the series 2 elite. Any updates you can give on its reliability or long term use? How does it stack up to other controllers?
Have they fixed the issue with the M3 & M4 buttons? They were very poorly made on the Ultimate and would become loose after a few months. Other than this issue my ultimate has being perfect. I’d consider upgrading if they’ve made the M3 & M4 buttons stronger, like the M5 & M6 buttons.
I'm thinking about getting it as a shooter gamer. I would like to know other people's opinion and maybe a repair vid as my wolverine v1 has finally broken in the sprint and mechanical button near L1
Hey vCuda I’ve had 3 elite series 2 controller and they have all had RB double click issues so I’m officially done with mircosoft do you recommend the v2 chroma or the og v1 wolverine?
I'm in the same boat with you about the Series 2 controllers, but I've also had issues with the paddles not working as well. Cuda just convinced me to order the V2 Chroma which is coming in tomorrow. it's great to know that the shift feature is something I won't lose either, I loved it so much.
@@benjamindaisley809 it's pretty good. There's a clicky button next to the right trigger that I've mapped as the trigger so I can basically have mouse-clicks instead of trigger pulls. It's very useful for FPS games. The only gripe I have is that the cable that needs to be connected gets disconnected easily.
@@planta3240 that sounds decent. I currently use the razer tournament edition but i’ve heard the back paddles on the chroma v2 are awkward. I was thinking of upgrading that’s all.
@@benjamindaisley809 the back "paddles" (they're more like buttons) aren't bad. I like them, but they'll get some getting used to if you've been using traditional paddles for a while.

@@vCuda is the that razer wolverine ultimate or razer wolverine ultimate Chroma, or v2 sorry? Just making sure. Plus isn't the deadzone issues wouldn't that cause problems with aiming compared to something like the elite series 2

I honestly like the wolverine v2 and have done really well in pvp (destiny2) (warzone)
Does the disconnecting the micro usb cable of the wolverine ultimate Everytime you use it, break it? Because I do it once a day to out my controller on its case
On my powerA pro the chord really started to get loose after I unplugged it every day so I just started tucking it behind my Xbox. I would say it’s probably best practice to leave it plugged in if you can
I had a razer wolverine tournament edition and ended up having to get a new cable after unplugging everyday. The controller still works completely fine tho except my sticks have gone really smooth and I got a lil bit of stick drift
My issue with this controller and the version 1 is the space between the D pad and the right joy stick. If you look you'll notice it's further apart than basically every other xbox style controller. Like a crazy person I sometimes reach over with my right thumb to hit the D pad and this extra space makes it just not as smooth as I like. Something to look at for any other pickey controller users.
I find the rear paddles on this controller way too difficult to use and I’m a FPS player primarily. Nice controller tho. Still prefer the Power A Pro as my main because you can’t beat the price and quality, etc. and (sorry for this) the elite 2.
Your videos are always to the point and make me laugh. Thanks for the content sir! I’m a fps player and stupidly bought a elite 2 and I’m regretting it with the bs I have run into with it over and fucking over 🙄
I found the media module on the V1 Ultimate used to make headsets sound better and louder. Does turning the audio up and down make it sound louder than the normal controllers when a headset is plugged in? My Cloud 2 headset with the media module could make you deaf if you wanted!
@@vCuda great to hear! Unfortunately that deadzone issue doesn't sound great. Appreciate the message back as I continue to make a decision on just buying another Wolverine Ultimate. The Wireless Xbox Headset just isn't cutting it compared to the Cloud 2 with the audio mixamp on the Wolverine. Keep up the good work boss!
Is there any way to get a chat pad attached to this one? Playing some crossplay games that could use all these buttons, and also having a chat pad at the bottom to do chat macros or select from a pallet of skills.
I just got the instinct and it has terrible dead zones on the sticks. In fact I want to return it, but there’s a restocking fee :( I wonder if it’s a similar issue
The buttons ARE easier to hit, but I'm personally not a fan of where my pinky & middle fingers rest. That's all. The OG Wolverine Ultimate feels better in that respect to me, so I'd prefer that design over this. But again, this is my own opinion
When you fully press the right bumper and then press down the trigger does it have a grinding issue? This is something Ive seen is prevelant in the new wolverines.
Hey looking for a longer cable for the v2 chroma. Is there anything on the market to make this happen? I prefer wireless controllers because I’m not always 6 feet from my console. Any help is much appreciated
I have a 25ft cord that I got a while back for my original elite controller. So they are on the market. Idk if u can swap out the wire on the chroma like u can on the elite. But if u can check Amazon, I bought mine at home depot in the check out aisle actually.
great video man, was wondering if you plan on reviewing the steam deck as a controller when it comes out as it seems to have really neat features. Also was wondering your thoughts of the replaceability of the sticks on it since sadly youd still have to throw them away if you replace them but at least there is no sautering requried since they are on their own seperate pcb. keep up the great vids man
Not going to lie, I’m completely new to you, this is the second video of your that I have watched(back to back, btw). I would totally watch a video of you going through some sort of sensitivity training. That could definitely be entertaining.
Just ordered the White version of this. Fingers crossed that I don't have deadzone issues. What kind of thumb grips do you recommend with these? I saw some grips in your Ultimate v1 videos.
i dont know u see this or not but im a claw player i dont use paddles what do you recommend me to buy im thinking about razer controller becauze of the mechanical buttons but the deadzone issues keeping me away

I notice its on sale in most places which usually indicates something to come
There’s the razed raion for the PS4 that had this road with 6 face buttons.
Is there still a problem with the deadzones on the Razer Wolverine V2 Chroma or was it fixed?
Its fixed
1 important question though. Do kontrol freeks work on this controller?
I came here to ask the same question... Did u find out?
You should check out the new Victrix Xbox controller could be a future review for you.
I probably will
"thumbsticks as inaccurate as storm troopers" lmfaooo
i got this controller a week ago and so far i love it
How’s the controller? Still holding up bro?
@@Koweezzy yeah man heavily used and no stick drift no issues love this controller
@@SwizzPrime thxs man. I’m for sure getting it soon.
@@SwizzPrime Are the paddles easy to reach? another concern of mine as well.
You should check out the new victrix controller. Looks like it could actually good
I'm thinking about getting it as a shooter gamer. I would like to know other people's opinion and maybe a repair vid as my wolverine v1 has finally broken in the sprint and mechanical button near L1
You are hilarious my guy , awesome to see a brotha making the best reviews out here
I like your honesty both in your reviews and your views. Subbed.
@@planta3240 how is the v2 chroma. Have you enjoyed using it?
You bringing the Tartarus V2 issue up is absolutely hilarious for me considering that I had a software issue with mine last night. Randomly started hitting arrow keys when I put pressure on the wrist rest.
🤦🏽♂️
@@vCuda I did figure out a fix after talking with razer support. All I had to do was disable the thumbstick thing and it stopped
@@theballingboi5360 thank god lol. Usually it isn't so simple
What controller would you say is best outta all the xbox controllers you have used
Personally, it'd have to be the Razer Wolverine Ultimate
@@vCuda thanks mate! Love the videos
@@vCuda is the that razer wolverine ultimate or razer wolverine ultimate Chroma, or v2 sorry? Just making sure. Plus isn't the deadzone issues wouldn't that cause problems with aiming compared to something like the elite series 2
How does the new V2 Chroma compare to the older Razer Wolverine Ultimate. Which is more worth it?
Thinking about getting a new controller would you still recommend this controller
Great vid, been waiting for this
Love your reviews my dude, take whatever break you need if you need it !
vCuda ur reviews are the best! Love the personality and editing style~
I bought the chroma I hate the paddles and the joysticks suck they are longer than the original version and it threw off my gameplay I returned controller not even a day later not like I needed paddles I play claw. I honestly like the wolverine v2 and have done really well in pvp (destiny2) (warzone)
It’s 2024. Which one is the best to buy? Naming convention is confusing me.
Question would you recommend the wolverine v2/v2 chroma or the thrust master eswap x pro?
What happens when you put precision rings on magnetic thumbs sticks? Do they come off?
Does the disconnecting the micro usb cable of the wolverine ultimate Everytime you use it, break it? Because I do it once a day to out my controller on its case
On my powerA pro the chord really started to get loose after I unplugged it every day so I just started tucking it behind my Xbox. I would say it’s probably best practice to leave it plugged in if you can
I had a razer wolverine tournament edition and ended up having to get a new cable after unplugging everyday. The controller still works completely fine tho except my sticks have gone really smooth and I got a lil bit of stick drift
V2 chroma uses USB c which shouldn't wear out as fast as micro usb
My issue with this controller and the version 1 is the space between the D pad and the right joy stick. If you look you'll notice it's further apart than basically every other xbox style controller. Like a crazy person I sometimes reach over with my right thumb to hit the D pad and this extra space makes it just not as smooth as I like. Something to look at for any other pickey controller users.
Thats what the paddles are for??
I find the rear paddles on this controller way too difficult to use and I’m a FPS player primarily. Nice controller tho. Still prefer the Power A Pro as my main because you can’t beat the price and quality, etc. and (sorry for this) the elite 2.
You got the best reviews out there. Keep it up.
Is the deadzone issue already fixed?
Any news on the V3? ordered mine before looking into reviews and its a bit rough :p
What deadzone in app should u be playing on default, lowest as default is set to highest? Along with which is similar to xbox 🤔
Cuda. What kontrolfreek size for these sticks?
Your videos are always to the point and make me laugh. Thanks for the content sir! I’m a fps player and stupidly bought a elite 2 and I’m regretting it with the bs I have run into with it over and fucking over 🙄
I found the media module on the V1 Ultimate used to make headsets sound better and louder. Does turning the audio up and down make it sound louder than the normal controllers when a headset is plugged in? My Cloud 2 headset with the media module could make you deaf if you wanted!
The audio adjuster sounds about the same in terms of loudness
@@vCuda great to hear! Unfortunately that deadzone issue doesn't sound great. Appreciate the message back as I continue to make a decision on just buying another Wolverine Ultimate. The Wireless Xbox Headset just isn't cutting it compared to the Cloud 2 with the audio mixamp on the Wolverine.
Keep up the good work boss!
Is there any way to get a chat pad attached to this one? Playing some crossplay games that could use all these buttons, and also having a chat pad at the bottom to do chat macros or select from a pallet of skills.
how do you fix the dead zones of put them to 0?? i just bought it and i have stick drift issues.. please respond
So what’s the best pro controller to get as of now? For the series x and pc.
Tactile click, media bay chat mixer, Scuff!
The shift key on elite 2 for tv volume is great!
Are you going to de a review on xim nexus controller when it comes out?
I just got the instinct and it has terrible dead zones on the sticks. In fact I want to return it, but there’s a restocking fee :( I wonder if it’s a similar issue
Soooo what's better? For fps at least this or tournament one?
Just for update purposes... deadzone issue is fixed now due to software upgrades is this correct?
Yeah I only miss the media button where you switch the proifles...not sure why they didn't incorporate that with the v2
Would you say this is a nice option if you play halo infinite? I play on pc and need a better controller
Can you expand upon the body design section? The buttons are easier to hit, but it feels worse overall? Is it just too big?
The buttons ARE easier to hit, but I'm personally not a fan of where my pinky & middle fingers rest. That's all. The OG Wolverine Ultimate feels better in that respect to me, so I'd prefer that design over this. But again, this is my own opinion
Is it possible to press all 4 dpad switches at once? This was an issue on the raion
No sir
@@vCuda excellent!
When you fully press the right bumper and then press down the trigger does it have a grinding issue? This is something Ive seen is prevelant in the new wolverines.
I see a comment on another video saying no
@@Lesoyskrr yeah well I bought it and it definitely had that issue and I returned it cause it sucked (non chroma V2)
@@xr337 yeah I know man that issue was so bad but on the chroma v2 it is fixed
@@Lesoyskrr ah okay, good to know
Hey looking for a longer cable for the v2 chroma.
How you liking that Azeron? My bad if I missed you talking about it b4.
I love it, but my switches keep going out
What song plays with the Splitgate gameplay? Sounds like a "For Whom The Bell Tolls" remix
So, buy both of them because you'll need the backup for when the other one is inevitably being serviced.
This makes sense with essentially every pro controller nowadays. Tons of streamers do this with SCUF and Elite controllers
Great review man 💪
Me: just recently got the Wolverine ultimate "Finally I-"
Razer unveiling the Chroma: "New controller go brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr."
great video man, was wondering if you plan on reviewing the steam deck as a controller when it comes out as it seems to have really neat features.
The deadzones are not an issue they are a feature of the V2 and is present in all models.
Which one is better... Razer Wolverine V2 Chroma ... or ... Thrustmaster ESWAP X Pro?
You are gonna review the pdp victrix gambit controller?
Can this controller use any type of Kontrol Freeks? Was considering buying it but I dont think I will unless Kontrol Freeks are compatible.
Only super old ones from the PS3 Xb360 days work without modification
i dont know u see this or not but im a claw player i dont use paddles what do you recommend me to buy im thinking about razer controller becauze of the mechanical buttons but the deadzone issues keeping me away
At this point I feel like some company should just sell a damn Hotswap controller shell so we can just spend an extra $60 on some lubed and filmed holy panda switches and spring swapped to some Sprit springs and be done with it.
