It is 1 in the morning. I am slightly drunk. I lay down to head to bed for the night and see the notification that this finally dropped. I turn it on, lay my phone on my stomach, put my arms behind my head, and just stare at the ceiling while it plays. True magic. I swear you guys can do no wrong.

It's actually so beautiful that i can't even describe it. The intro, guitar and drums, Danny's harmony - all of it is just magnificent. It's the type of song that you can't just put on the background, you NEED to listen to it carefully, NEED to feel it from the very start to the very begining. Amaizing job!
This feels like a hidden track on Dark Side of the Moon. Reminds me of how I felt listening to "Time' from that album on repeat shortly after I graduated high school, wondering what my life was going to be, and if my inner child had died.
The instrumental beginning to about 3:18 is one of the most beautiful synth-y mixes I have ever heard. I have Synesthesia, assosicate sound w color/imagery, and it is absolutely gorgeous.
On top of that, Dan absolutely killed it. Amazing cover!!

Fantastic cover. Wasn't sure Shadow Academy would do covers since the last album was all originals but it just makes sense with this track and the phenomenonal treatment they've done of it. With every track I've heard of Shadow Academy I have a new reason to call them my favourite band of all time ❤❤

I can never decide between wish you were here, dark side of the moon, and the wall. Theyre all so good and it just depends on the mood Im in. Obviously animals is also such a good album and meddle goes really hard solely for echoes.
Imo a massively underrated album is the final cut. it's basically songs that have been cut from the wall but even those are still banger. Ngl not too big a fan of the syd era but there were some great ones aswell.

This brings me back to a couple years ago. Been a long time Danny/Grumps fan, was psyched to hear Shadow Academy when it was first announced. I had moved to the city working a shitty job and just existing and your first album and Songs for the Deaf got me through some real dark times. Doing a lot better now but it was a rough chapter of life. Don't know if you'll see this but thank you both so much for making music and being you!!

So happy you guys introduced this song to more people. One of my favorite Pink Floyd albums and these tracks on there really stuck with me even more than the title track Wish You Were Here. Great interpretation of the song. Same original energy with the Shadow Academy flair to it.

Pink Floyd has been my favourite band since I was 9 and every time Dan does a cover I just know that it’s not only going to do the original justice, but do something fun and creative with it. This is the most perfect cover. An homage to the original song while bringing something completely fresh to it. Just like the original first parts of SOYCD, this has given me chills and had me air drumming and harmonizing along. Thanks guys! Another certified banger.
