Glad you dodged the bullet with that alk spiking so much. You had to have been freaked out when you saw it milky white. Nice recovery, tank looks great! Good luck with the bargain priced Anemone. I've placed dozens on their own rock with good success. Just leave your flow off for a while and let that foot attach. Surround it with rubble rock if you need to. 👍
Hey thanks for the nice feedback I really appreciate you and thank you for watching :). The nem has grown a ton and stuck around on that rock so I’m super fortunate. There should be an update video soon since I’m gonna film one here tomorrow or the next day. And yes that alk spike was awful 👀😂 I was a bit worried I nuked the tank
Yeah dude it’s a weird thing, but it was a hard lesson and we are still thriving and hopefully I can get a new video out soon as this tank has changed quite a bit
hows your tank doing I have the same one like to see more videos if you can I had the mp40 on my tank and it was to big mp10s only go up to 9mm glass thickness as you know the tank is 10mm thick so I bought the nero 3, to replace the mp40 way better size for this tank I would like to get one more too, your flow looks great. Also I had the same skimmer but I replaced mine with the Reef Octo 1000bh hang on back it fits great with a little modification. in the second chamber.
Been in the hobby for many years and its never smooth sailing all the time, glad you made out alright. Definitely good to be prepared for the worst that way you have a plan when these things happen which they will. 8 years ago i lost my 72 gallon bowfront reef to a faulty heater and I was not prepared to deal with it. Came home from work to find my tank typically at 78 degrees at 88 degrees. Water was HOT all the corals died pretty quickly, and all the fish developed either ich or some other issues within the days after.
Thats scary, I'm using a similar set up in my 50 Lagoon and a honest mistake while learning apex fusion could take everything out. I'm glad you recovered. Look forward to the next video.
I'm in the process of starting a aio 32 cube and right now I'm doing a custom macro aqua scape, hope you keep on reefing I just subbed I like this tank and the Monti on the back nice!
Hey thanks so much more videos will be coming, just gotta make them 🤘🏻 if there is anything specific you wanna see in a video let me know I’ll make it 🤘🏻
Way to come back from that!💪 Thanks for the honest part and i cant wait for the next video. Been subbed for like a month now and i cant wait for more videos to come.
Next video is gonna go up today it’s a bit lengthy and goes over each piece of equipment I have so people can see it and then if you guys have any questions about it I can make videos on each specific piece and why I chose it etc🤘🏻 and yes I’m so glad I came back from that it was a quick turnaround 🤘🏻
And this is why I'll be getting mine an Apex. Then it will warn me in time. As for the monti, a lot of corals really like to make sure they have a good strong base before growing outwards.

Been there. Not sure why the Apex rule is desgined to 100% for on, but off simply pauses the programmed rate.
