I’ve been watching Jazz Piano videos for many years and these are some of the best lessons I’ve seen. Practical ideas and a refreshing down to earth quality that gives me ideas and techniques that will help me to develop and build confidence. Thank you! 👍🎹👓

More bite sized nutrition, love the advice to practice until it suggests itself. I hear this move been made by piano players I listen to. I think I’ll add this one to my current practice routine and see which of my tunes “ask” for it as I play.❤

That's a great bridge on "Everything." Thanks for walking us through some good info. Love your voicings for the first two notes of Misty. You've dropped those into a couple videos but I don't think you've ever explained them.

Thanks and glad you enjoyed it. I know I have the Misty stuff in some members videos in depth but you're right, probably hasn't come up here.

He drops the Bb 13b9 down a minor third to G 13b9, one of Bb dominant's diminished relatives, while keeping the melody notes at the top of the voicing

1:55 so beautiful, literally Bud Powells parisian throughfare except he plays a cmaj7

Shan does this chromatic movement explain what’s happening on the ii chord in Barry’s torture exercise? On the ii - dm7 he plays melody C-Bb-B-C which isn’t part of the F6dim scale… ? This has always confused me
