Who ever thought about putting the lectures on RUclips is a mad genius!!!!
Just wanted to say your videos are truly brilliant and every time i see theres a new upload, its a joy to my day! Thank you
Thank you Father. The last few weeks I have been absent from services, due to illness. Not being in church has been very rough for me. Your videos have helped me stay caught up and focused on what is important. God willing I will return stronger than I left! ☦️
Love your content! I hope and pray that in the future all Orthodox Churches will be in communion with Rome. Let's pray for unity!
Praying for the people during these wretched times during the LA wildfires father. ☦

Wounderful video
Amazing episode🙏🏻

I'm really looking into religions trying to understand why there are so many, understanding what they have in common, their history and evolution, orthodox christianity interest me for but I'm not sure I understand it enough to jump in it, I don't want to convert only to apostatize later on.
I will say that there are so many religions because people All around the world tried to engage with reality as best as they could and the manner of their engagement and the surrounding beliefs was their religion.
I will not say that, therefore all religions are equal. Demons (“the gods of the nations are devils”) have been deceiving nations and peoples with falsehoods sprinkled with truth for a long time.
I was the same way, attend a Divine Liturgy and take your time. The priests are usually very adamant that you take your time also. This isnt just a confession, its a life transformation with Christ living in the fullness of Christ. My catechism will be just over a year long and most catechisms are around the same ballpark. Praying for you friend, I know without a doubt this is the true faith, worship and life with Christ here on earth. God bless and guide you
No harm in attending Church services as an inquirer. You don't have to make any commitments walking in the door. But we say "come and see" because while studying is good, you really need to go to Church and be in the Divine Services, in the presence of God, to experience Him. It's not an emotion but a deep peace and subtle joy being near to Holiness.
Seek the truth and you will find there is only one truth.
I came because I wanted a culturally enriching experience but after being in DL about five minutes I knew I wanted to be Orthodox! ❤⛪️
51:07 On the off chance this makes it to Fr. Josiah, loved the lecture but have a question related to following our “interest” and taking risk to find how God calls us to serve:
How do we know what “interests” is isn’t the devil trying to appeal to our vanity and pride? I’ve been a teacher of some kind for a long time and feel drawn toward helping with catechism, but to think myself worthy or capable of even assisting the catechists feels prideful and I discourage myself from thinking about it.
Thank you and may God bless all those behind this channel. 🙏😊
"My Vision
A vision came to me, so vivid and real
At time’s end, the Creator restored the Universe and Way
Countless divinities came to this world to await Him
Followers of Dafa [Great Law] are telling of the Great Way that saves
The Red Devil uses lies and money to meddle with man
Its unbridled evil bars people from boarding the Ark
When faced with the choice of good or evil,
you must honor your promise to gain deliverance
Herein lies your ticket to salvation
I am divinely called to share this vision through song
February 9, 2016"
Master Li Hongzhi (Hong Yin V, from Falun Dafa teachings)
I can’t believe I missed this lecture in person 😢
"Unproducing mooch" ☺

Good question
🎉
Amen!
I'm Christian
Hello Father- could you perhaps make a video on what happens when the Lord returns? I have been under the impression that we go to heaven that is a separate place, but it says that Christ will come to purify the earth and make a new heaven and earth meaning we will remain on this planet, just purified? I’m very confused and feel like everywhere I turn there is a heresy I’m trying to avoid but getting tangled up in. Thank you for your help. God bless you.
God will give you every grace you need to become purified in this life if you cooperate with his Will. If you die in friendship with God, but have not been purified yet then you will be purified in purgatory.
@@littlemeadowpressthe Church does not teach purgatory.
Do you have lecture three streamed? I would like to hear that. Thank you.
What is this lecture series called?
Churchmanship
@alabamamotionpictureproduc6626 Thank you
How do you go to church as often as i would like when your 2 1/2 hrs away?
You can’t.
Either move somewhere closer to the parish of your choice, or accept it and deal with it.
@@bluetigerlozano59 that comment was not very polite or understanding. The important thing is to get to church when you can and spend personal time with God as much as you can.
I am sure the Lord will understand if you attend a church that is not orthodox that is closer to you. After all, he treasures your prayer and attention no matter where you offer it.
@AperioNortheast hi, i don't think that he was leaving a rude reply. Didn't elaborate much, but basically said a pragmatic truth. I HAVE seen responses on these sites which gave me pause. This one just felt pragmatic. Those ARE the realities we face. I long for the day when there are msny more Orthodox parishes. We need them.
A difficult situation. I hope you have been in contact with the priest of that church.. and have been able to go at least a few times. Talk to the priest about it. Call or email him..
Priests can be quite busy. Don't be bothered if you don't get an immediate response.
The Lord will help you..
I know not how. But He will.

Where can I find the first 3 lectures? I just discovered this, and would like to watch them in order. Thanks!
What do I do
Where can we watch the other 3 lectures?
They might be on their app, Patristic Nectar
@@intherightlighti checked but couldn’t find it, maybe it is there but I’m not looking hard enough, did you happen to find it by any chance?
How do i convert to orthodox
Visit an Orthodox church and speak with the priest
Have you considered the Catholic Church?
Are there any churches that are actively healing the sick and casting out demons?
Yes. The Orthodox Church.
All churches do
The Catholic Church.
Where can we find the other lectures of this serie?
Same, I want to see the previous 3 lectures

Someone posing as you commented on a comment I made on a previous video. Same profile pic but the name is patristicnectearfilms. They’re asking for money for an orphanage.
🙏✝ GOD have mercy on us ❤🕊
PLEASE PRAY for me 🙏
The priest at my church is a narcissist hypocrite, more focused on social media content than worshipping
My priest is forcing parishioners to submit to being photographed while worshipping and Cummunion
My priest is forcing parishioners to be photographed and have our personal connection with GOD withing the House of GOD posted on social media sites without out consent
DISTRACTIONS = Being photographed while worshipping, having a cameraman stalk us during Divine Liturgy is a DISTRACTION, a DISTRACTION my church orthodox priest will not understand,
My priest has not shaken my hand or acknowledged me in 4 months, he ignores me, ignores me in front of others, ignores me inside church, in church hall, at funerals, everywhere, all because I complained that cameras and photography should not be distracting us during worship, therefore cameras and photography should NOT BE ALLOWED
My priest ignores me now since I refuse to accept having my worshiping distracted by camera man, and bragging that they feeding elderly in long term care. GOD BE WITH US ☀
That sound like a sad situation. Pray about it and pray for your priest. Our prayers are more powerful than we realize. Also consider attending a different church or pray for a new faithful priest.
My wife left me we go married with batist.
First comment! :)
Ive been to 5 Orthodox churches and been going regularly for almost 2 years. The Priests and "Parishioners" are pretty cold. Theres no love. Its black and white from my Baptist background. Orthodoxy sounds good on paper but the culture isn't very friendly. I havent met a guy my age that doesnt use the N word, makes fun of Holocaust, Mentally disabled, etc.... Never had this happen in Baptist culture. The Priests seem like they'll only want to speak to you if you set up an appointment online. I havent had one Priest really seem like they care. Its a bit odd.
Do you know the story about the bee and a fly.?
@johnnyd2383 Am i the fly only seeing the negativity in your eyes? Maybe its merely the reality that thats my experience. If you're trying to say ignore the bad stuff and pretend then im not on board. Why go to church if im alone and disregarded?
Maybe in my eyes I was the bee buzzing in Orthodoxy and got out because whats on paper and whats in real life is different. Ive been a Christian for decades and havent experienced anything like the cold shoulder and disregard for others like ive seen in Orthodoxy. Its more of a country club like culture from what I've experienced.
I've heard tons of complaints in the church of Catechumens not taken seriously in real life. My Catechumen Orthodox friend fell into some depression and hasnt been to church in 2 months. Priest hasnt even contacted him nor has anyone but me. Isnt that odd? I told him this is called conditional love. Its a common tactic used in abusive relationships.
@@ChileVerdeDavid Self assessment is the best one as it offers greater possibility of rectification. We, Orthodox, are never alone, regardless of our momentary lat and long. Guess who is with us all the time... Make sure the wall you are experiencing is not built by yourself. Finger pointing to the others is what Adam did in the beginning.
To be Orthodox is to be tough. Mentally weak and self-centered individuals are pathetically seeking attention instead of giving attention to the others. Try that.
@@ChileVerdeDavid That is so strange to hear! In my country, all parishes are close. I have looked around in Italy as well (since Im there often) , and there some parishes were rather cold. I kept looking, and after half a year I found a parish that suited me. I believe that part of it is also us overfocussing on people and not God, but we of course also want a parish where we fit with the other puzzlepieces.
5 churches…doesn’t sound like an Orthodoxy problem.
