I've been on the train at Disneyland when they've had to re-start the fire at the New Orleans station several times (due to the same scenario...the fireman and engineer getting a red light in the cab.) The interaction between the conductor and the cab crew is incredibly awkward...usually it's so much smother! Thanks for the video...this was interesting!!

Yeah, the conductor (or whoever that was on the microphone said that he gave the guests "Too much information." I have to agree that the guy on the mic did give too much info...is sounded really odd.

I've been going to Disneyland my entire life (I'm in my 40's and a Magic Key holder) and I've never seen cast members behave like this when things go wrong. Cast members are incredible at their jobs...they are true professionals. I can't say the same for that conductor, however. Someone wrote in the comment section for this video that the conductor needs to be re-trained...I very much agree! P.S. I really like your videos...keep up the great work!!

I have usually seen the conductor walk up to the cab, then return and ring the bell.

Yes, me too...that is the proper, discrete way of doing things that doesn't ruin the show element for the guests.

What the heck?! The conductor needs to walk up to the engine or at least up past the passenger car out of ear shot of the guests and have the conversation with the engineer and fireman. It's bad show to be yelling from the passenger car up to the engine and it's just NOT DONE at Disneyland. This conductor's lead or manager needs contacted so that remedial training can be arranged for the conductor.

Or maybe, since you don’t work for Disney, things have changed around the railroad. Either way your not his boss, so the only things you really should be saying is how much you love the railroad. Not acting like you run it or that your 100% sure of their policy’s they enforce. Biggest Petpeive is railfans acting like the run the show and know what things are still/should be enforced. Lighten up. He made the cut to be hired, you haven’t. Humble pie would serve you best. 🥧 steam is dying more than ever in tourism, the only reason left why these things run in this century. everyone should be educated and tought about it not hush hush. That’s how we get the next generation to want to continue these things.
