Thanks so much for uploading Rabeca amazing singer Megan amazing on slide seriously is there ever bad performance from Larkin Poe they are absolutely fantastic
Your ... what a shame ! My English is better than that ^^) Thanks again, Julie ! Keep feeding us with such exclusive content ! I'm so glad I found you ! I'm so glad not to be a lonesome instrumental music lover. If you have anything to share about the Rainbow Girls, John Craigie, Andrew Marlin and Emily Frantz, Lake Street Dive, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Rhonda Vincent ... Instrumental Americana of any kind ... I'd take it all 😊
@@JulieMeyers Hello Julie. I only discovered Larkin Poe in July, but have recently seen them live at the Roundhouse in London - a night I'll long remember . Anyway, if I may be so bold, may I ask you how long you have followed Rebecca and Megan ?As an Englishman who over the last few months has sought out as much You Tube coverage as I can find, including many of your posts, please keep up the good work of publicising these brilliant sisters.
@goldenoldie68 I've been a fan for 5 1/2 years. I've seen them 4 times and met them 4 times. They know me pretty well. They wear some of my old rock shirts from time to time. They're so sweet. Glad they have you as a new fan!
@@JulieMeyers I just feel so frustrated that I wasn't aware of them before now, even though they've evidently toured the UK a number of times before their latest shows .To give an example, I have found a video of the pair of them at the Cambridge Folk Festival in 2013. May mean not a lot to you, but Cambridge is a 1 hour drive from where I live ! I just love what they do - and I can't remember ever seeing anyone so at ease with a lap steel guitar as Megan. Maybe I've left a sheltered life ! 🙂. But anyway, I can only envy and respect them for their stamina and energy that they bring to their live performances. Long live Larkin Poe !
@goldenoldie68 I felt the same way when I first discovered them. Their first albums were great, too. All of their music has been great since they were teenagers. So much talent!
@@JulieMeyers Naaaaah I don't buy that. They do a bit of Blue Sky by the Allman Bros on there and they have a whole other album of covers plus live albums are known for having covers. For whatever reason they just didn't keep this one.
Hm..sorry but this title is not really the best result of covered...about the noise mask its the second thing ,because its indusscable .....its hurt me to see this life performence..i know you can make better ...so better times will be comes again..i love both ..they are really a great team and excellent musicans.
Uh, no, it's all wrong on LP's end. 😲 I can hear why it didn't make the album. They would have done better to do a cover of Black Sabbath's War Pigs song.
I think Julie's right about this one. Vocally it's a very difficult song. Performing it with an orchestra takes a lot of guts. I believe most bands couldn't do as well.
I listened to it again, and it cemented my original thoughts about it. The song was severely shortened. An electric guitar with a fat rich sound like a Les Paul Standard is needed to pull this off. Rebecca's ruby red Jet guitar would have been a good guitar to use. Rebecca should have leaned in on the solo, not Megan. Megan missed notes on the solo. Megan could have followed her. This song needs grit in the vocals; Rebecca has a great voice, but she doesn't have grit. I could go on, but I'll just say that this cover just doesn't maintain the excitement of LZ's original. @@JulieMeyers
This is probably the best cover of the song I've ever heard: ruclips.net/video/QdGzQ4t9UkQ/видео.html. The orchestration is excellent. The right instruments are used and the grit is definitely in the vocals. @@JulieMeyers
Larkin Poe covers always show such a great love for the original song, and at the same time bring something of their own to it.
Great girls❤❤
The best cover of HEART i have heart!!!❤
Always loved this song and I love this band! Always incredible!🖤🩶🖤🤍🤍🤍
Is echt niet beter dan led Zeppelin.

@sacha193 I like it that you appreciate my Larkin Poe songs. There will be more to come.
Thank you Julie! I missed this encore song on the album.
Me, too. Gonna add it to my All Albums playlist.
What are tou doing up at this hour?
Oh two old friends, greetings from cold Thuringia

Julie you made my weekend.
Wish this made the album.
Rebecca's vocals are crazy good.
Megan's slide is monstrous.
Love it !!!
Megan fell right into it and played it her way. That helped Rebecca and she finished strong.

Yeah! Wanna hear it lotta a weekend..!!
Holy Cow... I have the LP NuDeco CD and thought I had seen all the RUclipss of that session. Awesome. Although, Megan needed more amp.
Agree! Glad you liked it.
❤️🎸🎶🎵🎤👍🙏❤️😎
Bl**dy hell!
When you realize you want to be listening at full volume...
😲Should have been 8 on the CD.🙁
Agree totally. Someone goofed.
Got the beautiful yellow and orange vinyl.
Um ok, so like, WHY IS THIS NOT ON THE ALBUM?!?!?
Cause albums are for originals!

@blakel2174 OK. But I prefer originals.
I never liked this song…until now. Can Megan shred or what? And Rebecca? Whew…
Yeah nah. Good job (I suppose) but no.

I thought it was bad, too, at first. Rebecca seemed so nervous. Listen to it a few more times. It's brilliant.

Sounds great, but why all the virtue masks? Was this recorded during the COVID imprisonments?
Yes. Recorded during COVID. Imprisonments - haha.
Alot of noise.dont like it.
