    Well done video! The boots look great! I’ve got a pair of those coming in the natural double shot. I hope I get kilties with mine too. You can always modify those kilties, I like to round them off.

    You’re getting some nice boots. I order my kilties from Nicks, even for my Whites boots. The Nicks kilties fit and look 100% better, they can be ordered already rounded and you can usually match the leather. Nicks rawhide laces are also top notch. The only time I don’t wear kilties are when I’m wearing dressier boots……..1000 mile, Grant Stone, semi-dress Whites and so on.

      Will do. They have broken in a bit. I’m starting to accept that 11D is a little too narrow for me, but I don’t really feel any fatigue until end of the day. The toe box is a little cramped though.
      I ended up selling the soft toe Huckberry 350’s, as they were just too damn tight.

    I just stumbled on to Whites Boots looking for some Jump Boots or Trooper Boots, The C355 Logger is a Beautiful Boot, OMG!!! But my question to you is, Are these boots worth the price?? In my mind, This Boot has to me a “Foot Paradise” Your Thought?

    • @EDHBlvd
      @EDHBlvd  21 день назад

      @@Roc900 it depends on if you size them right and the shape of your foot. If you have a wider set of toes, the 55 Last they build these on is kinda narrow. I actually sold these boots last year as I accepted they were a little too small. Whites says they run big, but that wasn’t the case for me. I needed to buy them in my brannock size to get a better fit.

      Thanks for letting me know. I’m glad people enjoy them. I still need to do a video on these “Otto White Vintage” boots I found at a random western store in Ohio (on their website). The Cruiser is built on the 55 Last, with a much more noticeable arch and taller woodsman shaped heel. The MP Sherman is built on the MP Last, which is more flat, similar to a dress shoe/boot. It has a flat arch and shorter block shaped heel.

    • @EDHBlvd
      @EDHBlvd  Год назад

      They have some patina on the quarters (shaft area) from the flexing and rubbing on jeans/pants. There is a weird haze that is present on the toes if you look closely. Brushing with horsehair and/or using Venetian cream on it doesn’t seem to resolve. Almost like it’s something with the finish. It’s still a nice color.

    Got a pair of these on the way. I will let you know what my welt stitching looks like on the boot. Also ditch the false tongue. Those boots aren't really tall enough to need em. As long as the tongue stays straight and you don't need to fold it? I'd just not put the false tongues in them. I think they look better without em.

    • @christopherdavisson617
      @christopherdavisson617 Год назад +1

      and I don't think it was intentional as far as the welt stitching btw. I think they sanded the tip of the sole/welt too shallow and instead of redoing it, they just fit the stitching in. I'm sure it's fine and if you ever get them rebuilt I'm I'd mention it. But we'll see. If mine are like that I'm just going to roll with it until I get them rebuilt. But yeh, for a boot that's going for $575 now that they aren't on sale? I think they could've done a better job on that. I just got a pair of their Fulton Moc Toe work boots. They are only $340 but they had some quality control issues. The welt on the left side of the left boot wasn't glued down correctly so there is a bit of a gap. And the stitching on the welt (right boot outside welt) ran into the top of the welt a bit. Again, neither of these issues are gonna cause the boot to fail. These are work boots for me so I don't need them to be perfect and I can get those issues fixed when they need a re-sole. All that being said, I am a bit disappointed that White's seems to get sloppy like that. Luckily I've never had the issue you had with your Red Wing 875s. But I guess it happens sometimes with every company. I will say this, right out of the box these Fultons were very comfortable.

      @EDHBlvd  Год назад +1

      @@christopherdavisson617 yes I agree. I was sort of making a joke. Honesty I don’t see myself buying anymore White’s. I picked up a Semi Dress off eBay and it has many issues. Nicks makes a clearly superior boot.

      @@EDHBlvd Lol on the joke. I was like that's NOT normal haha!. Yeh I'm going to get a pair of Falcons for my next boot most likely. Hopefully my 350 Cruisers are in proper shape when I get em. I want a Semi Dress too. But I've changed my mind. If the 350 Cruisers aren't right I'm sending em back till they rectify it. A work boot is one thing but a $600 boot needs to be tip top.

    • @christopherdavisson617
      @christopherdavisson617 Год назад +1

      Ok, I got my 350 Cruisers today (British Tan Double Shot). The stitching wasn't as inconsistent as yours were. It's not perfect but it is completely acceptable. Idk if I got lucky or you got unlucky. I almost feel bad after seeing what you went through with both you pairs of White's lol. But they did have a few dings on em. Just put some Saphir neutral polish in those areas and it took it right out. Overall I am very happy with these. I got them on sale for $460.00 as well (they were running an end of the year sale so I cancelled my initial order and opted for the deal on the ready to ship boots). These are a very roomy boot as I do tend to need a 10 1/2 E in most of my boots. They are snug but not Uncomfortable and no hot spots so far. The arch support will take some getting used to but I can tell that these are very high quality boots for sure. They are a bit stiff but I don't think the break in is gonna be bad at all really. I've had them on for an hour and barely any difficulty so far. Probably be more like my Red Wing Blacksmiths than my Red Wing Moc Toes. The Blacksmiths were very easy to break in but the 1907s were a nightmare. In comparison with my Blacksmiths I do still love my Red Wings and will still wear them for a light duty work boot. That being said? These 350 Cruisers are a big step up for sure. They make my Blacksmiths feel like a very light duty boot. The leather is much thicker and the boot feels much more robust in general. I didn't use the false tongues and honestly I think that's the right call. These are six inch boots so the tongue fold that the kilties would hide is a non issue and I feel like the boots look better without them. Again thanks for the videos brotha and I will hit you up again when my Nick's get here in a few months.
