    Mate don’t use a grinding disc to flatten welds, use and abrasive flap wheel for your angle grinder instead

    • @RestoreIt

    • @Shadowmosesarea51
      @Shadowmosesarea51 5 лет назад +20

      Restore It well yes and no mate , as you will find you can accidentally cut slots in the metal with the grinding discs and this can’t happen with the flap disc , as the flap disc will smooth and blend it better

    • @dritter7051
      @dritter7051 5 лет назад +2

      if you keep the disc moving and dont aply much pressure there is no way to cut a slot.

    I spent quite a while using flux cored wire for this type of repair, then whenI did my Stag bare shell rebuild I decided to go for the gas conversion with a large Argon mix bottle from a local guy. The difference was truly amazing, really like night and day, I fully recommend it. No slag and much less grinding needed.

    Hi mate, one more good video, but let me give you some recommendations, flux welding wired not really good idea, you should use protection gas, better mix, Argon+CO, this is the best for car body repair. This weld protection option is most acceptable. I understand that using this is more expensive, but in your case, it is most effective, in terms of the quality of the result. Good luck man.

    great video, enjoyed it as usual. a question -- and i apologize if you've already addressed this -- since the touring is RHD, and you are now in a LHD country, did you have to install different headlights or headlight brackets?

    Autodoc app doesn't have the tracking for orders, unlike what you said. App is pretty basic, almost only useful to order and contact support. Can't keep track of maintenance, can't keep track of order. And the shipping cost high, even for small orders (~10eu for a 25eu order), so it will be cool if you could give the viewer a discount code, or something like that.

    You should use parts from Lemförder or Meyle. They are way better than parts of Other companys

    I’m sure it been suggested , make a cardboard template and transfer it onto metal then weld away, its painful to watch a talented man use all those little pieces of tin where a big piece could do.

    A better option would be using 0.6 wire with CO2 or mison 18... Cool video...
