When we lived in Pennsylvania Dutch country, they called it filling. We have always called it stuffing when it is a side, but dressing when in a casserole. Chicken and dressing casserole has always been a favorite. Looks delicious!
I hadn't either. I asked a waitress at a diner what filling is, and she looked at me strangely and said the breading you stuff inside turkey. To which I replied, so it's just stuffing. 😂 She responded, "I guess you could call it that." There were alot of quirks of dialect in Amish country. It always seemed strange to me that they called us "English".
Hey, Thanks for watching. So many of the foods We make can be put in the freezer. We also share some of these foods with our Daughters who live close by. You can certainly take our recipe and cut it in half too. And Ed and I love leftovers. That means some days, I don’t need to cook at all. :)
Everytime that you add flour for thickening, you want to stir continuously for a couple of minutes so that the mixture will not have a floury taste. Rule of thumb, 2-3 minutes. Thanks for watching.

What does, “cook out the flour mean?” How do you know when that’s done?
